~(Y/n)'s POV~

"It's so cold..." I rub my arms, trying to get warm. This dark and dank cell was freezing and I had no blankets. What do you expect from Nohrians? I was hardly given food and I was starving. There was no bed and I only had the hard ground to lay on. The door to my cell block opened and I ignored it.
"(Y/n)..." Kaze's voice sounded desperate.

"What do you want?" I spat. Kaze kneeled in front of my cell and placed some berries and bread on a small piece of cloth. "Please, just listen to me," he begged. I glared at him through glassy eyes. "Why should I listen to you?! You're a traitor! I can't believe I trusted you!" I shout. Kaze looked hurt, but I didn't care one bit. "I came all this way to bring you home. And what do I get in return? Captured! Saizo is so worried about you! How could you betray your own brother?!" I snapped.

"(Y/n)... I'm sorry," he said softly. "No, you don't deserve to be forgiven. You betrayed your family and the worst part... You betrayed me..." I cry. Kaze gripped the bars and looked at me desperately. "Why are you still here?" I ask, scorn filling my voice. "I can't stand to see you like this," he said.

"I can't believe I was blinded by love. I traveled far and alone just to see you. Now I'm being tortured for information..." I mumble. Kaze looked shock at my whole statement. "Y-you're being tortured?" He asked. I nodded and stood in the dim light so he could see me. Blood stained my whole body. Cuts and bruises were everywhere. "Gods, what have they done to you?" Kaze's grip on the cell bars tightened.

"I'm from Hoshido. What? Did you expect them to treat me like a guest of honor?" I sit in front of Kaze. He reached a hand through the bars and touched my cheek. I flinched and he looked like he was the one in pain. "Saizo didn't send you?" He asked. I shook my head. "I came here without telling anyone. I was hoping we could run away together and start a family. But that dream was shattered when I saw you siding with Nohr." I look down at the ground dejectedly. Both his hands rested on my cheeks and made me look at him.

"I would never choose Nohr over you. I love you too much." He looked into my (e/c) eyes. "But you have. Now all that's left is for me to be executed." I drop my eyes back to the ground. "No, I'm not going to let that happen. I'm taking you away from here. We'll run away together and live a happy life," Kaze smiled at me. My eyes widened in shock. "Y-you would run away with me?" He nods and pulls me closer to the bars. He kisses me on the lips and strokes my cheeks. "Of course. How could I not want to start a new life with the woman I love?" He leaned on the bars and pecked my forehead.

"Time's up," the guard said. Kaze looked hesitant but he had to leave. The door closed and I was back in the dark. Kaze's warmth stayed with me and comforted me. I ate the bread and berries he gave me with a smile. I looked out my small cell window and saw the sun was setting. I waited for Kaze to return so we could hold each other again.

-Midnight-

I was still awake and ran my fingers through my
(h/c) hair. I was exhausted and tired but I couldn't sleep. An unlocking noise made me snap my neck to my cell door. Kaze was standing there, holding the door open. He smiled and ran to me. He tightly embraced me and I whimpered. Kaze pulled away and looked at me with worry. "Once we get out of here, we'll find a healer and get you patched up. You'll be as good as new." He leans his forehead against mine. "How did you get the key?" I ask.

"I was the one on guard duty. I waited till midnight so we could leave. Everyone is asleep. I also have a way out of here." He helps me stand up and we leave the cell. Once outside, I breathe in the fresh air and stretch my hands toward the sky. "It's been so long since I've had fresh air..." I whisper to myself. Kaze grabbed my hand and guided me to a horse waiting under a tree. He lifted me up and placed me on the saddle. "Ready?" He asked as he got on behind me. "Let's get out of here," I smile softly. He wraps one arm around me and takes the reins with his other. I lean against his chest so I wouldn't fall off.

-3 Weeks Later-

Kaze and I had found a nice home in the woods. A gleaming lake was close by and provided us with clean water to drink. At least Kaze and I both know how to grow rice, wheat, and berries. This helped us a lot and made trips into town easier. We both grew closer together and I forgave him. We now live a happy life and I wouldn't ask for more. Well, I would love a son or daughter soon to complete our happy family.
