Corrin
~(Y/n)'s POV~
"So... That's how the story ends..." I mumble as I shut the romance novel. I sigh and place it back on the shelf in the library. Another sigh escapes my lips as I sit back down and rest my cheek on my hand. "Now I feel sad..." I groan. In the end, loving a noble is pointless. They just end up marrying for their country's sake and not for true love.
I slam my hands on the table and start mumbling to myself again. "(Y/n)?" I jumped at the sound of my name. I try to lean back in my chair and end up knocking myself and the chair to the floor. I yelped as my head hit the ground and I felt disoriented. "(Y/n)!" Footsteps come running towards me and I see my master. "L-Lord Corrin!" I stutter. I try to stand up, but I was too dizzy and stayed in my tipped over chair. "Are you alright?" He asked. I just smiled and he helped me up. "I've been looking for you a long time. I should've checked the library first since you love books so much," he chuckled.
"My apologies, Lord Corrin. I didn't mean to be such a burden." I bow deeply and wince as I felt the pain in my head. Suddenly I felt a hand on my chin and now my eyes were staring into Corrin's. "I told you, you're a friend more than a retainer. Please... Call me Corrin," he pleaded. "If Jakob hears me call you by name, he will surely scold me," I said. Corrin sighs and closes his eyes. "I will inform Jakob that it's alright for you to call me by my name," he said and opened his eyes. I nodded and Corrin moved his hand to the back of my head. "That's a huge bump you've got."
I felt embarrassed because of my clumsiness and started blushing. "I'm a huge klutz. You should know by now... Corrin." He smiled as he heard his name leave my lips. "Now that's more like it." He removed his hand from my head and continued to smile warmly at me. "Big brother!" Lady Elise ran into the library and flung herself onto Corrin. "Whoa!" Corrin yelled as he tried to balance himself. Elise laughedand smiled up at her brother. "Father wishes to see you and (Y/n) in the throne room," she said. Corrin and I exchange confused looks.
"Tell him we'll be there shortly," Corrin informed Elise. She ran out of the library with a smile plastered on her face. "I have a bad feeling about this," I mumble. Corrin grabbed my hand and squeezed it gently in his. "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." Corrin placed a hand over his heart and smiled brightly. I nodded and we headed to the throne room.
It only took us a few minutes to get to the throne room. We entered and saw King Garon and Iago talking. "Father," Corrin announces our presence. King Garon and Iago halt their conversation and looked at us. Iago and the King were glaring at me and I unconsciously took a step back. Corrin noticed their glares. "Why have you summoned me, father?" He asked. "Iago has informed me that one of your retainers is getting too close to you," King Garon said sternly. Corrin stopped in his tracks and glared back at Iago. "Who?" He asked. I could tell he already knew the answer. I saw Corrin clench his hands into fists.
"Why must you ask? She's standing next to you," Iago spat out. "Is it not my job to care for Lord Corrin?" I ask. King Garon stands up from his throne with anger. Corrin stepped in front of me protectively. "You will not touch her, father," he growled. Corrin pulled out his Yato and pointed at the King. "You dare defy your father?!" He shouts at Corrin. I flinch at the King's loud and booming voice. "Iago, kill her!" The King pointed at me. Iago grinned evilly and pulled out a tome. Before lightning hits us, Corrin grabs me and hides behind a pillar in the room. He let go of me gently and stared into my (e/c).
"I need you to trust me, (Y/n)." He rested his hands on my shoulders. I placed my hands on his cheeks. "I've always trusted you, Corrin." He smiles and let's me go. My hands fall into my lap and Corrin runs from behind the pillar. My brain told me to stop him, but my heart said to trust him. Corrin stood in front of Iago and transformed into a dragon. I was shocked at his transformation. Jakob told me about it, but this is the first I've seen it. Corrin easily defeats Iago and moves on to King Garon.
"You'll never leave this room in one piece!" King Garon yelled and his body starts radiating an eerie purple aura. Corrin roared at the King and attacked without hesitation. I decided to draw my twin daggers and threw them at the King. He groaned in pain as my blades pierced his left arm and heart. I thought I killed him, but apparently being stabbed through the heart isn't enough. He turned his attention to me and began approaching me. Corrin roared loudly and charged at his father.
"Corrin!" I yell his name. He doesn't hear me and attacks his father once again. King Garon knocked him away and his body smashed against the wall. I gasped and tried to run to him. The King grabbed me by my throat and started strangling me. "You're the reason why he's acting this way!" His grip tightened and I could feel myself fading into nothing. I gasp and claw at his hand around my throat, but my struggling doesn't faze him. He chuckles deeply and grins evilly at me.
"Let her go!" I hear Corrin's voice. The King drops me and concentrates on Corrin. He transforms again and uses his dragon rage to stun the King. He knocks King Garon unconscious and approaches me as I catch my breath. He grabs me in his dragon form and flies away from Castle Krakenburg. After a few minutes of flying, we land next to a large lake. Corrin sets me down gently and turns into his normal self. "Corrin, are you-"
I was cut off by his lips finding mine in a heated kiss. We kissed for a few seconds, but it felt like it lasted for hours. After we break the kiss to breathe, Corrin leans his forehead against mine. "Sorry, heat of the moment," he said. I was still in shock from the kiss and couldn't speak. Corrin started to get worried after my long silence.
"(Y/n), are you alright? Do you hurt anywhere? Please, say something!" He started checking over me for injuries and lifted my arms. He circled me and checked everywhere on my body for any injuries. The last place he checked was my neck. "I'm so sorry..." He mutters as he traces the red marks with his hands. "Corrin... I'm fine. You have nothing to apologize for. You and me are both standing here alive and breathing. That's all that matters," I say in a soft voice. Corrin's worried expression is replaced with a joyous smile. He brought me into a tight hug.
"Thank the gods. I thought he would take you from me..." He whispers in my ear. I hug him back as if he was going to disappear if I let go. I buried my face into his chest and I heard his heart racing. "Thank you for everything you've done for me, Corrin. I wouldn't be standing here right now without you," I say. We pull away and share another passionate kiss. "Hey, could we-"
Corrin didn't finish his sentence because a familiar voice cut him short. "Elise, are you sure you saw them come this way?" Camilla asked. Corrin and I look at each other in shock. We both were thinking the same thing and hid behind a tree. "I'm positive! (Y/n) and big brother both flew in this direction!" Elise whined as she and Camilla got closer to our hiding spot. "C-Corrin, they're going to find us!" I yell under my breath.
"Shh, they won't find us," he said to reassure me. "Yes, they will!" I shouted a little louder than I meant to. Corrin put a finger over his lips to signal me to be quiet. I sigh in annoyance and I see him roll his eyes. "How about we-" Corrin pins me against the tree and kisses me deeply. I didn't get enough time to react and I was having a hard time breathing. The closer Elise and Camilla got to our spot, the more he kissed me. I struggle against his grip and his kiss, but I wasn't strong enough. Minutes pass and both sisters retreat in the opposite direction. Corrin finally lets me go and I fall to the ground in a coughing fit.
"I-I'm sorry, (Y/n). I kinda... Got too much into it," he blushed in embarrassment. I clear my throat and stand back up. "I'll say. I could hardly breathe!" I playfully punch his arm and he holds it as if I broke it. "Ow..." He complained. "You're a drama queen! I didn't even hit you that hard." I crossed my arms and clicked my tongue. He chuckled and wrapped an arm around my waist to bring me closer. "I'm just happy I've found someone to be myself around," he said. I rest my hands on his chest. "So, I'm guessing we're more than friends now?" I ask. He nods and smiles widely. I jump up and peck him on the lips. Corrin started to go red again and I couldn't help but laugh. "That was a sneak attack!" I cheer.
"Now you've done it..." He mumbles. Corrin picks me up in his arms and we head in the direction of Hoshido. "Where are we going?" I ask. "Somewhere I can have you all to myself."
