I had made the decision to not chose between Nohr or Hoshido. That decision was very hard though.

The hatred between the two was displayed many times, and I knew of no way to stop it.

I wish I could snap my fingers and it would all be settled....if only things worked out like they did in fairytales.

Not to mention, I'd constantly have to settle disputes between the two. Over and over, fights that involved people from opposite sides would occur. Leaving me the only person who could actually settle them fairly.

I took a break from all this at night, sitting down outside my private quarters and looking up at the sky.

I did feel someone walk beside me, and before I knew it, Takumi was sitting next to me.

"Hello brother." I said kindly and smiled at him. He didn't look in a good mood. "Hey..." He said, looking at the grass.

"...do you ever wish that you just sided with Nohr?" Takumi asked coldly. "What? No, never! I'm glad I get to have both my families." I said honestly.

He sighed. "I don't know...the people from Nohr just seem to win you over so much more that it seems like dealing with us, is...a pain. You get so worn out from having to deal with these fights of ours..." Takumi explained with a frown.

I laughed a bit and held Takumi's hand in mine. "Takumi, I'd never choose Nohr over you. If that's what I wanted, I would've done that in the first place! I love Hoshido, and I love Nohr. You have to believe that." I said and gave his hand a light squeeze.

He smiled weakly at me and nodded. "I'll try..." He said.

(TIME SKIP)

The next day I woke up and went over to the Mess Hall to begin my work for making food for everyone.

Leo however, beat me to it, and welcomed me at the door. "Hello sister." He said with a heartwarming smile.

"Hey Leo!" I said with a giggle and walked inside to see Takumi, sitting at one of the tables. "Sister-!"

He gasped once he saw Leo, and it suddenly became quite. "Eh..?" I asked and back and forth between the two, who were both now having a staring competition.

"...uh, b-brother..?" I asked, both of them looking at me and asking, "Yes?"

I flinched and felt my palms get sweaty (don't yOU EVEN START) as I looked at both of them. They both have each other a death glare.

I walked into the kitchen and smiled at them both. "Uh, want anything to eat?" I asked happily, trying not to sound nervous.

"Can I have some fish cooked please?" Takumi asked. "I can help you cook that, sister." Leo offered.

"I'm okay! You already had your turn yesterday, so I'd hate to make you do more work than you bargained for." I explained and began to cook the fish.

After the dish was finished, I handed the plate to Takumi. "Here you go!" I chirped.

"Thank you." He said with a smile. Leo frowned at the attention I was giving him.

"Perhaps we can train today? Xander has been thinking that it's about time you improve your fighting skills." Leo suggested.

Practicing with as good of a fighter as Leo...!! It sounds perfect!!

My eyes lit up with excitement and I nodded. "Yes! I'd love to!!" I chirped.

"So later today then? How about around late in the afternoon?" Leo asked. "Sounds good!" I said.

So it was settled. When it was late in the afternoon, I met up with Takumi outside the base and we began to train. However, Takumi had surprised me once again and met us at the training set up.

"I thought the more people helping you train, the better." He said, Leo not looking pleased whatsoever.

However, training with Takumi AND Leo sounded like the best training ever!!

I jumped at the idea and held his hands. "Yeah! Let's all train together!" I said and we started the training together.

Me and Leo started first.

He decided to use a sword since that's what I've been specializing in lately. He's pretty good at handling swords, so it was some good training.

We clashed swords to and fro, but he caught me off guard and I fell back onto my butt. "Erk-!" I yelped and he aimed the sword at me with a smirk.

"Checkmate." He said with a chuckle.

"Wow Leo, you're really good! Looks like I still have a long way to go..." I said and he reached out his hand. I took it and he helped me back onto my feet.

"You've certainly improved since the last time I've seen you though, sister." He said with a nod.

"My turn!" Takumi said and we began training.

Takumi was nearly just as good as Leo, maybe even better.

We ended up laughing more than we did training in the end. Once, he was trying to spin his sword to seem cool and it ended up falling out of his hands.

Then there was the time where my cape got stuck on my sword and when I slashed it, my cape ripped.

We were so giggly, that we were literally laughing at every little thing at this point. "Ahaha!" We both laughed.

"Okay okay, you guys have trained enough." Leo said and came in between us. "How about you two practice with each other? My stomach hurts from laughing and training so much." I suggested.

The two looked at me as if I was crazy. "Come on you guys, it won't be so bad." I said and the two looked away from each other.

"Well, if (Y/N) wants it..." Leo said and prepared his sword. Takumi tisked and got his sword ready as well.

'Now that I think about it, maybe this isn't such a great idea...' I thought to myself, suddenly growing nervous.

'Their not friends yet, and they are sworn enemies. I was the only thing keeping them from fighting, but now that I've given the okay...' I gulped, snapping out of my trance by the sound of swords clashing against each other.

I flinched and watched as the two went all for it with all their strength.

"You're even weaker than I thought...!" Leo said, trying to sound brave but his voice showing signs of struggle. He backed away and held the sword with both his hands, facing it towards Takumi.

"Oh yeah, tough guy..?! I wouldn't be so sure about that!" Takumi said and ran towards Leo, surprising him with an attack by his feet.

"Oh no...! Their really fighting!" I shouted and ran to stop the fight

Leo responded to Takumi's attack with a stab in the back, and Takumi wasted no time slashing another strike through him.

Just as the two were about to charge at each other, I ran in between them and shouted...

"STOP!!!" My voice was so loud, I even surprised myself for a moment. Takumi and Leo froze in place, out of breath and huffing for air.

"Are you two crazy?! You almost killed each other!" I shouted, glaring at them both. They both looked at their feet.

"This is training! You two are allies now, aren't you?!" I asked angrily.

"Sister-" Takumi began, reaching his hand out for my shoulder before I gave him a death glare.

"Of course we're allies..." Leo mumbled, still looking at the ground in shame.

"Then act like it!" I barked, narrowing my eyes at him. "Apologize right here, and now!"

The two didn't move a muscle at first, until Takumi took action. "She's right. I'm sorry, (Y/N). Leo, we can't be allies like this...I'm sorry for attacking you." Takumi apologized, holding his hand out to Leo.

Leo was hesitant at first, but sighed and shook it. "We were both childish...I'm ashamed of my behavior. I hope you can forgive me." He said.

I smiled at the two, and for a moment they smiled at each other.

(TIME SKIP)

We decided to end training right there, so we all agreed to meet up in two days when everything had calmed down.

Despite the amount of training and drama that happened today, I wasn't tired.

So I took the opportunity to sit out on the grass and look up at the starry sky again.

I let out a deep sigh. All my worries and fears suddenly fading into the night.

Today was actually a really productive day, when I think about it!

I got training with two amazing fighters, I did my cooking job, and I got Takumi and Leo to get along!

I was snapped back to reality when I heard someone take a seat next to me. I looked over my shoulder to see that it was Takumi.

I smiled softly at him. He responded with a smile back.

"You were really brave over there...I never thought I'd hear Leo apologize to me with all that pride he has." Takumi admitted.

I laughed a bit and grinned. "Well, I have my ways. You were brave too, you know? You were the first one to be a man and apologize! Thanks for that." I said and giggled.

He blushed a bit and waved his hand dismissively. "T-that was nothing compared to everything you do..!" He said and looked at the grass.

I chuckled and tilted my head to the side. "So, why'd you come over here?" I asked curiously.

"E-erm..." He stumbled over his words and blushed even more. "W-well, I recently found this note from mother..."

"Mother?" I asked, him now capturing my attention.

He nodded. "Yeah...u-uh...apparently she knew that I would have these...feelings. Ryoma actually handed me this note, and it says that you're actually...not related to us.."

I opened my mouth to speak but he cut me off.

"E-even if you were adopted, we treated you all the same! We didn't want to tell you because we thought that you'd feel like we were less of your brothers and sisters if you knew you were adopted...." He admitted.

"Takumi, I'd never think that! I'd love you all the same, but I understand where your coming from, I suppose..." I said and looked off to the side.

"Why are you telling me all this all of the sudden?" I asked curiously.

He looked away from me, his face crimson red. "I told you this, cause it would make my confession of love to you less awkward! There!"

"What..?" I asked in shock.

"(Y/N)....I...I've fallen in love with you! Everything about you is so...amazing! I pushed these feelings aside because, well, I only recently figured out you were adopted as well! It felt weird...loving someone so much but knowing you couldn't have them the way you wanted to..."

I saw his face was getting too red, so I cut him off there and gently kissed him. He was shocked, but soon fell into the kiss.

When we finally broke free, we both stared at each other in awe, and then I finally spoke up.

"I love you too, Takumi."
