I felt like some sort of creep...

Despite Hinata giving me permission, I still felt weird watching him train. He was so good...no wonder Takumi had picked him to be his retainer!

"Hyah!" Hinata said as his katana clashed against Oboro's. Oboro agreed to help Hinata train today, so the two were fighting with katanas.

The katanas fought for dominance before Oboro backed away.

Hinata took the opening and slashed his sword against Oboro.

"Wow, you surely did get better." Oboro complimented, obviously impressed as she caught her breath.

I smiled, too shy to get up the courage to compliment Hinata. Hinata had been a big crush of mine for a while now...ever since I first got to know him, I knew he was perfect.

He knew just the right way to make me happy and just seeing him made me smile.

Yesterday I had said that I wanted to learn how to use a katana, and he instantly spoke up. He offered me a place to watch him train to maybe help me get some ideas on how it worked, and I agreed straight away.

Felicia came over and healed Oboro's wound. "Next time, I'll get you for sure!" Oboro stated.

"Next time?" Hinata asked, "Aren't you gonna train more with me?"

Oboro shook her head. "I've gotta settle something with Saizo. I want to get him a new outfit cause his is all dirty and worn out, yet he won't let me! It's my duty as daughter of a tailor to take care of this kind of stuff!"

"Aw, alright...." Hinata said and sighed, taking a seat next to me and taking a sip out of the water bottle he had brought.

"Y..you did really g-great out there!!" I said with a nervous smile, hoping what I said was the correct thing to say.

"Really?! Thanks!" Hinata said with a bright grin. I blushed lightly knowing how pleased Hinata was with my comment.

"Hey, we should try fighting together!" Hinata suggested, standing up and putting his hands firmly on his hips.

"E-eh?! Right now?! A-against each other?! But you're so strong!!" I said in shock.

"Yeah, but it's better than you just spectating!" Hinata pointed his index finger close to my face. "I think what you need is some first class experience! So what do you say?"

I thought through my options for a while, but didn't have much time to think since Hinata grabbed my hand suddenly and pulled me off my seat.

"C'mon! You think things through too often. Let loose and fight me!" Hinata said with a friendly smile, holding out the katana towards me.

"L-let...loose?" I asked, hesitating buy eventually taking the katana in hand.

"Alright!" Hinata cheered and got into position. I smiled a bit and tried my best to imitate his position. "S-sorry if I mess up..."

"Don't stress about it." Hinata ordered and began to fight.

Hinata made the first move, striking his katana down. I swiftly dodged it, hitting my katana back at him, but not with full strength cause I was hesitant to hit him.

"Hiya!" I shouted, but he blocked my attack. I backed off but accidentally dropped my sword. "Woah!" I shouted in surprise.

Hinata was going to attack but was caught off guard by my sword by flying out of my hands, and ended up tripping.

"W-wah! Watch out!!" He warned but it was too late. He fell on top of me and just barely managed to have his arms stop himself before his lips smashed against mine.

My face heated up as I saw his face so close to mine. His face went bright red too, and for a while he stayed in that position before he snapped back to reality.

"Ack-! S-s-sorry!" He apologized and quickly got off me. I covered my face in embarrassment and he helped me up. "I-It's alright!!"

I sighed a bit and looked at my feet. "I'm s-sorry, I can't even practice with a katana right..." I said with a frown.

"N-no, you did great!" Hinata said with a smile, a bit of blush still on his cheeks. "What...?" I asked in shock.

"You did really good for a beginner! You went in there with no experience, and you blocked an attack from an expert!" Hinata exclaimed.

I smiled shyly and twiddled my thumbs. "I-It was only one attack..." I pointed out.

"Yeah, a big attack! That attack has killed off dozen's of training partners and enemies! You don't give yourself enough credit, (Y/N)!" Hinata said with a laugh.

"I think you have a lot of potential!" Hinata smiled. "R-really?" I asked, my eyes lighting up with hope.

He nodded and took my hands in his. "With the right type of training, yes. Now let's practice some more!"

"Okay!" I said, confidently.

(TIME SKIP)

Me and Hinata were resting after practice and taking a few swigs of some cold water. I was really grateful for him practicing with me that much.

Looking back on when we fall, I kinda began to wish that Hinata didn't stop himself from kissing me by accident.

I think it would've been a nice opportunity to see if he liked me back or not.

Then again, that's just me.

I wish I had more guts to just tell him how I felt. Then everything would be perfect....

I looked over at Hinata, which happened to be the same time he looked over at me. I blushed a bit and looked down at my feet.

"Hey, uh, (Y/N)....I had a lot of fun training today." Hinata said with a chuckle.

I looked up at him. "You did?" I asked, genuinely surprised.

"Yeah! Ever since Takumi first introduced us, you seemed like a fun person. Although I did notice you happened to be very shy, so I did my best to bring out the best in you!"

"W-why are you telling me all this all of the sudden?" I asked.

Hinata cupped my hands in his and smiled at me, blushing quite a bit. "It's just...normally I wouldn't train so long with someone...a-and though it may not seem like it....I get really nervous around you!!"

I could feel blush spread across my cheeks, and it seemed really hard for Hinata to get the words out. For once I wanted to be brave...but...

"Hinata..." I said softly, and was about to say 'I love you too!' But he cut me off with a kiss. I was surprised, but then fell into the kiss.

It was a deep kiss. Hinata wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck. When we were both satisfied, we separated from the kiss and stared into each other's eyes for a while.

"I...I love you...! I'm sorry for the sudden k-kiss it's just...you were too cute!" Hinata said and laughed a bit.

I smiled at him. "N-no it's alright! T-the kiss was really good...p-plus, I love you too!" I admitted happily.

"Really?! Oh wow! Thank you thank you! I promise to take care of you forever, my one and only princess!"
