Mozu's POV

There were these monsters that were killing everyone in the village behind me and my mother. We were almost out of the village when one caught up to us.
"Run,Mozu! Please,dear! Run and don't look back!" my mother said as she pushed me out of the way of the Faceless.
"Mother,no! Take my hand,and we'll get out of here!" I shouted as the faceless got closer. Then it took a swing at us,killing my mother.
"No! Mother!" I shouted,and then ran off to a nearby forest.

Ariel's POV
"Did you hear that!? Something's happening in the village!" I asked.
"There's trouble alright! The Faceless destroyed the whole place,were too late!" Jakob said.
"No! There has to be someone that survived! Let's get searching!" I replied.

Mozu's POV
"Mother.... My village..... All dead..... I'm alone.... Nowhere to go.... And those monsters are coming for me next....." I managed through my tears. Soon,I heard a bunch of troops come in and fight the Faceless,as a girl roughly my age,came over my way.
"Are you OK?" She asked.
"No..." I said shakily. "My mother..... My friends....."
"I'm here to help.Where are they?"
"They're......" I started,tearing up.
"I'm so sorry,but we have no time to grieve. Just stay with me and I'll keep you safe." she replied
"But I have to fight! For everyone they took from me!" I said holding a makeshift lance.
Afterwards,she kept me safe and let me kill the lead faceless.

Later
"That's the last of them." The girl said.
"What do I do? My whole village is..." I replied.
"You,must have family somewhere."
"Nobody. I couldn't start over all by myself with all this death and destruction around here."
"I've got an idea,how about you join us? You've got some skills,and we're all family here."
"I can join you guys?"
"Until we can find you a place called home."
"I'm not afraid at all. Heck, I might even save one of you guys."
"She's starting to sound like one of us already." A cavalier said.
"I'll do my best,with mother watching over me."
"Hey,what's your name?" the girl asked me.
"Mozu." I replied.
"Name's Ariel." the girl replied holding her hand out. And as we shook hands,I could hear her butler saying. "Country scum."
"Jakob!" Ariel said,annoyed.
