Veyle ran through the halls of the castle. 'Faster! Faster!' She thought as she used magic to blast Corrupted soldiers out of her way.

Emblem Lucina appeared by her side, floating next to her as she ran, "almost time"

Ahead were a group of Corrupted, before they could attack. A gust of green cut through them like paper. The dealer of the attack was Princess Ivy of Elusia, "we can handle this" she began to cast another spell, Emblem Lyn appeared by her side as they both took down more Corrupted with ease.

Not to far was Prince Diamant of Brodia. He fought next to Emblem Roy. Veyle ran past the two of them. Diamant gave her and Emblem Lucina a small nod before shouting at the others, "keep them back!"

Princess Timmera of Solm swung her spear, "we won't lose! Not today!" She slashed through some Corrupted before gasped when a Corrupted was about to slash her in the face but luckily she manage to dodge and stick back. Emblem Ike appeared by her side and helps her fight back.

Prince Alfred of Firene fought next to Emblem Sigurd, both moving with such swiftness and took the Corrupted down like it was no problem, "keep going! You can do this!" He told Veyle and Emblem Lucina as they ran by.

Veyle nodded at Alfred and ran to the throne room. Her hand touched the door, she turned over Emblem Lucina. Both nodded at each other.

"Our final battle lies ahead" Emblem Lucina spoke to Veyle. Both opened the door together as a bright light shined onto them.

"Now. It's time to engage" Emblem Lucina smiled at Veyle.

Veyle nodded back. Raising her hand that had Emblem Lucina's ring on it, the ring shining with divine dragon power.

Both ran inside. Both ready to face their greatest foe yet. Sombron, the Fell Dragon King.

Sombron waited inside, waiting for their arrival. He slowly turned to the duo in question.

"Let's go, Veyle. Our last battle and the war will be over" Emblem Lucina spoke seriously as she pulled her sword, The Falcon. The beautiful weapon shining in the room's light, "the others fought hard to clear a path for us. We can't let them down!"

"You're here—at your end. This place will be your tomb" Sombron spoke to the two girls, "you have no hope of defeating me. Not even with your Emblem"

Veyle sweated a bit. Fear was in her heart but Emblem Lucina gave her a gentle yet stern recurrence, "I will remain by your side. Move in"

Veyle gave a small nod. Before getting all her courage to fight. She ran forward and began to fight Sombron with all her might.

Sombron was getting the upper hand in the fight, landing harsh blows onto Veyle. It made the girl flee back and breath heavily.

"Veyle!" Emblem Lucina called out to the girl. Moving in front of her to protect her from more harm. Blocking attacks before turning to Veyle, "Now. It's time to engage!"

Veyle knew that's the only way to win this one on one. She nodded and began summoning the ring's energy, "the time has come!"

"Now.." Emblem Lucina react her hand to Veyle, "as one!"

"Emblem Engage!"

Both locked hands and began to become one. Veyle's appearance had change. The blue strands in her hair became a light shade of blue. One of her eyes became a blue color. Her clothes changed into a white suit and now she holds the Falcon in her hands. Floating in the air as power flows through her veins.

Veyle knew she had to use Emblem Lucina's special ability. All for one. But it works better if more allies by her side but it's the best move.

"I challenge my fate!" Veyle said as she began her attack. Pointing her sword at Sombron before charging forward. Using all of her might to finish him off. Luckily, it was all it took to defeat him.

Sombron groans, "you are weakness itself. You will never defeat me" he began to fade out of existence.

Veyle sighed as she and Emblem Lucina began to split into two. Veyle fell onto the ground, breathing heavily.

Emblem Lucina gave a heavy sigh. Breathing heavily, even though she doesn't require to breathe at all. She turned to Veyle, a smile on her face, "Thanks to you, this world is saved, and my work here is complete"

"Huh...?" Veyle looked up at Emblem Lucina, confused.

Emblem Lucina bend down to Veyle's height, holding her hands, firmly, "know that I will always be with you. And that we will stand together again, as we did this day" she gave her hands a tight squeeze, "if we ever cross paths again. I hope that you will remember me"

She gave a smile, "indeed, that you will remember all of us who took up arms to fight by your side. The 12 Emblem"

Emblem Lucina began to fade, "w-wait...don't leave me..." Veyle called out to Emblem Lucina as everything began to fade to white.

"I don't want to be alone...."

Me: here is the first chapter! I hoped you like it!

Me: I did originally thought of giving Veyle Emblem Marth but felt odd separating him and Alear. I gave her Emblem Lucina instead since I like to think it is cute. Her and Marth are pretty similar and—

Cherry: they're related. Making them parallel Alear and Veyle in this book

Elise: but will Alear still have Emblem Marth in this au?

Me: yes. She will still have Emblem Marth mainly. He will be her main Emblem for the majority of this book

Ayla: but might switch it up here and there for plot sake but can't say for certain
