One an island, a in the flower land of Firene, was a small village.

A man, named Sean, was helping an older man and young woman, "these pills ought to clear up the problem. Let me know if the pain persists, OK?" He then looked at the young woman after handing the man the pills, "and you're looking chipper today! I told you that cold would be gone before you know it"

Before the woman could answer, a young boy named Jean, came walking to Sean, holding plate with a cup of tea, "Father, isn't it time you took a break? Look, I made you some tea"

"Thank you, Jean. You didn't burn yourself or anything preparing it, I hope" Sean smiled as he took the cup.

"You worry too much. I'm old enough to manage a simple pot of tea, i assure you" Jean shock his head.

Sean chuckles softly at his son, "hm-hm, it makes me happy to see you growing up so fine" he then notice something in the distance, "hm? What's going on out there?"

A Firene Village ran over to Sean; shaken and out of breath, "Doctor! You have to help us! Monsters are in the attack and people are getting hurt!"

Before anyone could say anything. Corrupted appeared, growling and hissing. Bloodthirsty as ever.

"What the devil are those beasts?!" Jean asked in shock and slightly fear.

"This will get ugly" Sean frowned, looking at his son, "Jean, go and hide! I'll take care of bringing the people to the clinic" he then shouted at the village, "this way, everyone! If you're unhurt, then assist someone who's injured! We must pull together!"

Jean paused when he saw his father run to the village, "I know Father told me to hide, but how can I? I gave to do my part too!"

When the group was passing the village. They heard fighting in the distance. Veyle sensed dark magic. Fell dragon power. Veyle shivered as she turned to face the village, when getting a closer look. She spotted the Corruopted attacking the town.

"Oh no..." Veyle gasped out loud as she heard the Corruoted growl.

"Get moving! There's shelter at the clinic!" A Firene villager said as some villagers come running inside the main building.

Sean stood as he grabbed medical equipment, handing it to some villagers before standing in on of the entrances, "keep your wits about you, everyone! I'll patch you up once the crisis has passed"

Veyle stared from afar, narrowing her eyes,We can't stand idle with the Corrupted on the loose. Let's save those villagers!"

The group nodded at Veyle's words. Everyone rushed in. Veyle spotted a Villager female and helped them up.

"Are you all right?!" She asked, "Get to safety and leave the Corrupted to us!"

The woman nodded, "You dint's have to tell me twice! But there's still a few left who didn't make it out it time"

"We will do everything in our power to save as many as we can" Veyle promised.

The woman gave a soft smile, "They'll love you for it if you do. You're their last hope at this point!"

The woman went to her house. Locking it to protect herself.

The group began to fight the Corrupted. They kept a defensive posture as they forced their way through to get to the main house, where it seems where the Corrupted are mainly heading to.

Louis and Boucheron remain in the front of the group. Being the shields for Etie and Céline, who were acting as a supporting force as they used their bow and fire tome to take out the enemies. Luckily, there are very little archers to attack the support.

Veyle looked at Lucina, who appeared by her side, "why are they attacking here of all places?"

Lucina shrugged her shoulders, "I am unsure. They are mindless creatures and I doubt the Fell Dragon would send them to a small town like this..."

Veyle let out a small sigh, "let's clear them out. This village doesn't deserve to die"

Lucina nodded in agreement, "Let's change the future"

Veyle nodded, "Emblem Engage!" She then became one with Lucina.

Veyle summoned Lucina's falcon. She flew forward as she slashed through the Corrupted like they were paper. Lucina gave her more speed and power. It was useful to get closer the building.

When she got closer, she saw Sean boxing with a Corrupted. Taking it down with little effort.

When a Corrupted came behind him, Veyle was quick to slash it. Killing it so quickly.

Sean turned around to see Veyle, he was surprised as he spoke, "Thank you...."

Veyle nodded, "yes. I am glad your safe"

Sean gave another nod, before looking at all the injuries on the people who came, "there are so many wounded we couldn't get to the clinic...is it up to me to treat them all?!"

"Sir, don't worry" Veyle reassured him, "I have some healers who can help when they get here and I have a tome that can heal people"

"Thank you...but will that be enough?" Sean asked, still wary.

Just then, Jean came running over, "Father, I'm here to help! If we split up, we can treat everyone!"

Sean's eyes widen, before narrowing his eyes, "Jean?! I thought I told you to run and hide!"

"I can't stay hidden away when there are so many who need my help!" Jean said, "after all, Father, am I not your son? You taught me that a doctor does whatever is needed!"

"My lessons have sunk in, I see" Sean let out a sigh before looking Jean in the eye, "Very well, then! Come and give me a hand!"

"You two worry about the people. I will deal with the Corrupted" Veyle said as she played with her weapon in hand, "I will let you know if my group arrives"

Jean and Sean nodded as they rush over to help any injured civilians.

Veyle turned her attention back to the Corrupted. Her sword dancing in the light that the sun shines onto it. She won't let any of the Corrupted pass as long as she can help it.

Meanwhile with the rest of the group, they began heading over. It didn't take long for Alfred to arrive since he had Sigurd, Vander arrived second. They got ordered by Veyle when she saw them to protect the entrances and let Framme pass to help Jean and Sean heal any villagers.

Veyle also ordered the rest of the army to spread out to take any weak points and to protect any undefended homes. Which they did and some of the villagers who remained home were grateful and gave them some items for battle.

It wasn't long until the group defeated all the Corrupted.  It seemed they were only threat in the area.

A woman sighed in relief, "unbelievable! All the monsters are gone!"

"We're saved!" A man cheered as he looked at the army, "and it's thanks to the lot of you"

Veyle smiled as she and Lucina unfused. Completely out of breath, "I'm so happy no one is heavily injured. I was so worried"

Another woman walked closer to Veyle, holding the girl's hands as she spoke, "you can't know what this means to us. We decided to give you this to show our thanks"

The woman handed Veyle a book. It was a Surge. Veyle smiled at it. She might give it to Framme later to give her more versatility in her attacks.

Another gift was Pure Water. Good, they were needing a refreshing drink anyways and rubbing low on water.

"Thank you" Veyle thanked the woman and giving a kind smile.

She then made sure everyone was okay. Using her Divine tome to heal anyone who is injured. May it be major or minor.

When she was done. Sean, his wife and Jean came up to her, "hm? Are you guys hurt?"

"Hmm..." Jean slightly stiffed in his place. Seeming lost in thought for a moment.

"Come now, Jean" Sean urged his son, "Give the nice people a proper thank-you"

Jean snapped out of his thoughts, "oh, right" he looked at Veyle with a smile, "thank you for saving our village"

"We saved it together. You did well today, Jean" Veyle gave a smile to the young boy.

"Oh! I introduced myself to you, but I never asked your name, did I?" Jean asked, a bit embarrassed.

Veyle shock her head, a smile on her face, "well, there was a lot going on. I'm the Divine Dragon Veyle"

The family was taken aback as they gasped out loud. "The Divine Dragon?! From the land of Lythos?!" Jean asked as his face heats up in more embarrassment and shame, "Oh, please forgive my rudeness!"

Veyle waved her hands, "No, it's completely fine. Like I said, there was a lot going on before"

"What brings such a splendid personage to our humble village?" Sean stuttered a bit. A bit nervous.

"I've been on a journey to defeat the Fell Dragon and being peace to the world" Veyle explained z

Jean seemed amazed by that, "the whole world?" He asked, which earned a nod from Veyle, "woe. If it's all right with you, Divine One, can I come along to help?!"

Sean gasped in shock and horror, "Jean! What's gotten into you?!"

"My dream has always been to become a doctor so I can save people. And that hasn't changed" Jean said, seriously, "but with monsters running rampant, i might die before I can do that. Look what just happened! At the Divine Dragon's side, I think I can learn to fight and heal people at the same time"

"That's all very well for you, but what about the Divine Dragon?" Sean hissed softly, "you'd just be a burden"

That rubbed Veyle the wrong way. Jean would never. "He wouldn't. I seen him helping healing others and he has great potential for combat. If Jean wants to come, I don't mind at all! Though, I understand if you are worried about him"

The mother spoke up, "Well, if he has your permission, then...I can only ask that you take good care of my boy"

Sean looked at his wife, bewildered, "what? You're actually allowing him to go?"

Jean looked at Sean, "father, I told you. You don't need to worry about med it's not like I'm never coming home. In fact c when I do return, I'll be a first rated doctor. You'll see"

"How quickly they grow up..." Sean whipped a tear from his eye before finally giving in, "of course, Jean. Be a good boy, a hard worker and an attentive student. And come home safe"

"I will! Thank you, both of you" Jean smiled at his parents, "I can't wait to start working alongside the Divine Dragon!"

"The feeling is mutual, Jean. I have a hunch that I'll be leaning on you a lot in the days to come" Veyle smiled at Jean, "I will ask Framme to teach you some combat and show you the staffs when we get back to the Somniel"

Jena nodded with a smile, "thank you, Divine One"

Me: sorry if this chapter is short. Grew a little lazy with the fight scene
