Lon'qu is literally my FAVOURITE Fire Emblem character! 😊
Also, expect some Frederick x Lissa parts, it's one of mah fav ships ^^

Ever since he'd joined your party, Lon'qu had made sure to stay away from any other the girls. Lissa, Panne, Sully, Tharja, all of them! Just the sight of any of them was enough to make him turn his head away and walk the opposite direction. A rumour had spread that it was something to do with his traumatic childhood and that he'd lost someone close to him, who was believed to be a girl, turning him into the Gynophobe that everyone knew. Multiple times, you had tried to talk with him but he'd shout at you to leave him alone, even unsheathing his sword once in a threatening way. But was it him who was feeling threatened?

One hot day, you were sitting on the lime green grass with Chrom, Lissa and Frederick, talking about future tactics and battles. The other members were all of doing there own thing (Stahl was eating, Virion was trying to talk to some of the girls, Kellam was trying to stand out, etc), so the four of you were able to discuss important things. Then Chrom decided to speak up.

"____, I've noticed something... Not about you, but about a certain other member of our party." Chrom spoke seriously, which made you slightly confused. Who could he be talking about?

"Who do you mean, Chrom?" You cocked your head a little in confusion and worry.

"I mean Lon'qu, ____. He keeps on glaring at me, he won't even smile!"

"Isn't that what he's like normally?" Lissa asked.

"No Lissa, Lon'qu is a very respected member of our group. He may not seem like it to the females, but to us males, he is a powerful, willing man with a big heart. The fact that he glared at another male is something, but to Chrom-" Frederick paused. "The leader of the Ylissean Shepherds... And he glared. What grudge must he hold against him?"

"Frederick... This may sound stupid but what if he had a crush? Since me and you are always with Lissa and ____, maybe he feels like he has no chance with them, thus making him annoyed, yet glaring is the only way to show his true emotions without speaking." Chrom spoke up again. "I know he's a Gynophobe but that won't stop him from having a little crush on one of the girls..."

Meanwhile, Lon'qu was listening to the whole conversation, as his tent was close to where you and the other three sat.

"... What do they mean, I have a 'crush'?" He whispered to himself. "... Pathetic fools."

"Speaking of Lon'qu, I wonder where he is at this moment." You thought out loud.

"Knowing him, probably far away from everyone!" Lissa replied.

You chuckled and got up, looking around the place. You saw his tent and smirked.

"Found him."

"____, what are you doing?" Chrom asked you, confused by your actions.

"I'm going to do a little test. Lissa, would you please go and visit Lon'qu and tell me how he reacts to it?" You asked Lissa, who was sitting particularly close to Frederick.

"Yes, ma'am." She got up. "Should I just go over to his tent?"

"Yes please, Lissa. The rest of us will wait here!" You smiled at her as she walked over to his tent, slowly entering it.

"____, what will this 'test' do?" Frederick asked you, also very confused.

"Well, both me and Lissa will visit him. If he has a crush on one of us, he will almost definitely reply differently to how he replies to the other. Get it?" You smiled.

"I understand... But what if he does have a crush?"

"Then... Chrom's theory was correct. And whoever he has a crush on may have to deal with those consequences." You replied.

However, Frederick was not listening to you. He was thinking about what you'd said and how the one who Lon'qu loved would have to deal with that. But what if it was Lissa...?

You turned to Lon'qu's tent as you saw Lissa emerge from it. She looked at you and shook her head as she walked up to you.

"He just got annoyed at me, and he screamed at me to leave him alone..." She sighed.

Frederick noticed that Lissa was back as he smiled at her, walking over to see her.

"Did it work...?" He asked, hoping for the answer to be 'no'.

"I didn't even come close..." Lissa sighed again. "If he does have a crush, they must be absolutely outstanding!"

"It's okay, Lissa. You'll be fine without Lon'qu." Frederick smiled.

"What are you trying to suggest, Frederick...?" Lissa giggled.

"N-NOTHING!" Frederick's cheeks went bright red. "Forget I say that, Milady!"

You sighed. You remembered it was your turn to visit Lon'qu. If this didn't work, then Chrom's theory would prove false but if he actually did like you... What would you do?

"Well, I guess it's my turn." You smiled a little.

"You can do this, ____. It'll be okay!" Chrom smiled at you.

You laughed.

"You're making a massive fuss over nothing!" You replied as you walked over to the tent.

The tent itself was very big, bigger than lots of the others. How and why Lon'qu had got the biggest one, you would never know. To be honest, you would never properly understand Lon'qu. You walked into his tent and approached him calmly, as he had his back to. You cleared your throat.

"Lon'qu...?" You said quietly before coughing. "Lon'qu!" You realised that you had said that quite loud as he turned around.

"Yes... W-women?" He replied, his cold eyes piercing yours.

"I- er- just wanted to- um- see you?" You managed to say, but unsure as to why you had actually said those exact words. "And I wanted to make sure you're- um- okay." You added.

"I'm fine..." Lon'qu looked away again, turning his back to you once more.

You noticed that even though you had entered Lon'qu's tent without permission from him, he hadn't throw you out like he had done with Lissa. He let you stay. Maybe Chrom's theory was right. If it was, it would be a dream. Ever since Lon'qu had joined your party, you had a little crush on the male. Over time, that crush had become bigger before it became close to unbearable. Now, if he did like you, your dream would be complete.

"____..." Lon'qu murmured. "Why are you here? I know there is another reason..." He hesitantly placed his hand on your shoulder, once again piercing your eyes with his dark ones.

You sighed, unwilling to tell him the truth. But now, you knew you had to.

"Okay... Chrom said that apparently you were glaring at him-"

"Lies." Lon'qu stated solemnly. His look of seriousness on his face was almost unreal. "Why would I glare at... him?"

"I'm getting to that. Chrom thought that you were jealous of him because- um- he thought that you may have a crush on either Lissa or... me."

Lon'qu didn't speak. Neither did you. The atmosphere became increasingly awkward. Finally, he spoke up.

"____... m-maybe I do like one of you..." He sighed, looking away. "And it's not Lissa..."

You already knew what that meant. Just as Chrom had predicted, Lon'qu had a crush and it was on... you. You knew that your dream had been fulfilled. Lon'qu turned around and smiled.

"I-I confess... I do have feelings for... Gods, must all these emotions be so vexing?!"

You smiled at him as you shifted closer.

"I love you too~"

You wrapped your arms around his neck and looked up at him. Lon'qu became slightly confused.

"W-what now?"

"Maybe you could embrace me-"

He wrapped his arms around your waist tightly, pulling you even closer.

"Like this~?"

You blushed bright red as you looked up at him.

"Exactly."

He smiled and looked down at your lips, hesitating slightly. He sighed deeply and made his move, pressing his lips against yours. You were surprised at first, but you kissed back. His lips were actually quite soft! When you finally pulled away, you kept your arms around his neck and smiled at him.

"I... never knew you could be like that, L-Lon'qu..."

He gave you a small smirk, kissing the top of your head.

"Nor does anyone else... But I'm only like that for the one I love... ____."

This made you blush a darker shade of red.

"Maybe... you could stay with me here, rather going back to Chrom." He cocked his head to the side a little.

"I wouldn't want to go back there, now... I have you."

Lon'qu smiled, picked you up bridal style and placed you on his bed.

"I love you, ____. I love you more than you'll ever know."

With that, he hugged you tighter than ever, as if he would never let go. You hugged back, before snuggling into his broad chest. With his arms round protectively around you, you fell asleep.

(Extended Ending)

"Chrom, do you think ____'(s) okay?" She hasn't come out yet!"

"She's fine, Lissa, I'm sure of that. Although it wouldn't hurt to check-"

"I'll do that, Milord." Frederick got up and walked towards Lon'qu's tent. He crept inside and saw Lon'qu with his arms around you as you slept peacefully.

"... What?" Lon'qu gave Frederick a stern glare. "... And don't wake ____ up..."

"S-sorry, Lon'qu!" Frederick quickly crept out and walked up to Chrom and Lissa.

"So...?"

"M-Milord, Lon'qu is hugging ____ as she sleeps... You were right."

"I knew it!" Chrom triumphantly punched the air. "Sorry Lis, but you've gotta put up with me and Frederick for now."

"I think I can handle it..." Lissa chuckled, making Frederick blush slightly.

"I guess Lon'qu's no longer afraid of women, eh?"

"You are correct Milord~"

"Frederick... I'm always correct."

Ha ha, that was so fun to write, even the extended ending! Like I said, Lon'qu is my favourite Fire Emblem character, so that just added to how much I enjoyed writing this.

In fact, I was actually thinking about writing a "Lon'qu x Reader" fanfic. Would you guys like that? Comment on what you think!

On another note, you don't have to read the Extended Ending, but it's more there for a bit of an extra, whether that be to add to romance or for humour, like that one!
