Crashing and Clashing Tides

Sophia's head shot towards the window, her eyes fearful. They found her, and there wouldn't be any saving this time.

"Tiffany, do you have the pendant?!" Sophia cried out, a sense of hurry, extreme fear was dominantly present.

"I believe so," Tiffany took out a necklace that had been hiding behind the hospital gown. "I apperently wouldn't let them take it, even when I was drugged."

"I need it, now." Tiffany didn't argue, just obliged and tossed it to the girl in the wheelchair, whom caught the pendant by the strings.

With newfound strength, Sophia stood up, leaning against anything nearby in an attempt to reach the bedridden blonde.

"Hold on to the other side, please?" Sophia's amber eyes grew enormous and just stared into Tiffany's green eyes.

Not saying a thing, the blonde nodded in agreement and held on to the pendant.

Thunder was heard outside the building, rain coming down hard.

"What do we do now, the rain burns you remember?" Tiffany remembered the first day of this adventure.

"Where I came from, hopefully the rain went away."

Tiffany wanted to ask, but the thing coming in from the bottom of the door stole her question.

"Sophia, what's that?" Weakly, the blonde pointed to the smoke-like hand coming from under the door.

Sophia stole a quick glance before turning to the pendant, chanting in a speech foreign to Tiffany.

As that happened, a ring of dancing flames surrounded the girls, well, Tiffany wasn't sure if Sophia counted or not due to not even knowing what Sophia was.

The pendant started glowing as the fire around them grew and grew, the smoke-like hands grew into a shape of a human and attempted to charge the two. But the fire stopped them from getting too close, within reach but not close enough for the smoke things to touch the two.

Within a matter of seconds, the two disappeared from that dimension.

The boys were quiet and still, unmoving. The only sound was the electricity buzzing at the black haired male's fingertips.

Ben remembered her telling him to count like that in his mind, it made him calmer and his electricity easier to control. When he questioned how and why she knew that, she merely responded with that she was far older than him, and he had much to learn.

Ben turned the lights off, not allowing him to see his own hands in front of his face. All the brunet could see was the lightning buzzing from his unusual friend's fingertips.

An unusual shadow was casted from the other side of the wall onto the window curtain, giving both the boys anxiety.

A few minutes later, Ben turned the lights back on.

"What was that?!" Miguel stared, still freaked out.

"That, is what we've been trying to avoid." Ben frowned. "News station, now."

Miguel obliged, turning on the Television.

"Breaking news just in."

"A hospital on the New Hampshire-Maine border has been blown up and is up in flames tonight. There have been no recorded survivors."

"That's not good." Ben frowned.

"What happened?" Miguel raised his brow in concern.

"They must've found her." Ben growled, pulling out a pendent from his pocket.

"I'm sorry, who found who now?" Miguel was way too confused for comfort.

"What we just hid from, I don't know who or what they are. I only know them as them, and that they are hellbent on killing all four of us." Ben frowned.

"Let me guess, your friend found someone like how you found me, something happened, and now we have to use that pendant for whatever reason?"

"I knew I picked a smart partner for this job." Ben gave a small laugh, "Now hold this end of the pendant or you'll be left here to die."

Sighing and rethinking his entire life, Miguel held the opposite side of the bolt pendant.

"May I ask what this will do?" Miguel asked, tired of constantly having to ask questions.

"It'll temporarily take us back to where I come from." Ben quickly explained.

Right as Miguel was about to ask how that worked, Ben began chanting in a language unknown to him.

Suddenly, the two disappeared from the dimension in a blinding flash.

"Where, are we?" Tiffany looked around to see fire for miles and miles, but an area full of clouds and lightning was adjacent to the firery land.

"This is where I came from, but it's a bit different." Sophia frowned, looking at the area of lightning.

The blonde looked down at herself and stared  in disbelief, instead of the hospital gown or what she was wearing a knee-long white dress, like Sophia was. With this revelation, Tiffany glared at Sophia, expecting an answer.

"What, you think I have an answer?" Sophia asked, raising her brow at Tiffany. "You think I like wearing dresses?"

"With all the years I can imagine you were alive for, yes. Yes I'd think you would have answer for the dress and why I have my phone in my-"

"Is that what you call that atrocious piece of technology?" Sophia cut off.

Tiffany looked at her hands and saw her phone, for some odd reason.

With no warning, a blinding light came forward. As happiness from Sophia practically exploding like a volcano, the light touched down on the lightning side, the light disappearing shortly after.

Two males stood where the light once was, one with blue and black hair while the other had brown hair so dark, it might as well have been black.

The odd thing, much like Sophia and Tiffany, they wore something matching. It was no dress, but a black vest with a fuzzy material around the top and neck.

"What is this?" The brunet asked, wonder filling his eyes as he looked around.

"It's a place between two dimensions, hence the division. We are stuck between my dimension and her's, hence why we are on the lightning side and they're on the fire side." The other male huffed, staring at the blonde girl.

"Um, Tiffany Morison." The blonde walked to the edge line.

"Oh, Miguel Martin." The brunet walked over to her, smiling.

"Who's your friend? I assume he came to you, not the other way around." Tiffany chuckled.

"I call him Ben, he says he doesn't-"

"Have a name? Same case with white dress over there." Tiffany gestured to Sophia. "I call her Sophia."

"What do we do? What are we supposed to do?" Miguel huffed, "We're being hunted and no idea what is chasing us other then it's a death sentence when caught."

"How well can you remember things?" Tiffany asked, suddenly gaining an idea.

"Decently-"

"Good enough, what's your phone number?" Tiffany rushed, remembering the phone she had in her hands.

"Oh, it's (insert mess of numbers here)

"Great, now we can contact each other if something goes south!" Tiffany beamed with hope, Miguel was now a little more hesitate talking with the blonde.
~~~
"Listen, they found us, we had no choice, we would've died, and you don't stand a chance at 100 years on the run with two other people in tow."
"Why do we even need their help?" Ben frowned, he knew his fiery companion was hiding something from him.
"We may have powers and all that but they can only get you so far. If your human dies, so do you and vise versa." Sophia crossed her arms. "This happens once every reincarnation, and I've outlived three other yous because of that."
"What do you mean by reincarnation?!" Ben narrowed his eyes at the shorter girl, trying to hold back his frustration.
"We aren't the first or last to be stuck in this role." Sophia hissed, Ben's rising anger and frustration only made Sophia's grow as well.
"I don't suppose you have anything else you'd like to tell me?!" Ben hissed sarcastically, he seemed about ready to explode.
"Hey Sophia, you don't think the coast is clear back where we were?" Tiffany walked over to Sophia, Miguel walking to Ben.
"It's likely they've lost your track, but you will likely be teleported in the middle of a burning hospital." Miguel guessed, taking what little information he had.
"Alright Sophia, let's go back," the blonde pulled the angry fire spirit away from the other spirit.
"I think we should do the same." Miguel pulled the lightning spirit back.
Ben and Sophia stared at each other with annoyed yet blank faces, not resiting against the people pulling them away.
Hey guys, it's Winter!
Sorry I haven't been updating so much, I'm just now starting to get back into the swing of writing so I wrote a longer chapter because of two things;
A. To give y'all something that isn't short af.
B. Because I had too many ideas and inspiration when writing this chapter.
I still don't know what this book's plot is...
Actually, I do have an idea >:D
I want you to guess in the comments bellow!
Love you all!
