(Readers POV)

I woke up to the sun's light shining in my face. I groaned and rolled around. I rolled to far because I fell off the bed and hit the floor.

(Y/N): Ow.

I got up and rubbed my eyes. I got out my scroll to check the time.

(Y/N): Man it's early. Everyone is probably still asleep.

I walked out my room and tried to be as quiet as possible.

(Y/N): It should be easy not waking anyone up. I walked around my house all the time to get into the cookie jar when mom and dad were asleep.

I looked out a window and saw Ruby laying down on the outside patio. I walked outside and sat down next to her right. She looked over and jumped.

Ruby: When did you get here?!

(Y/N): Just now. Didn't mean to scare you.

Ruby: It's fine.

She laid back down. I heard some footsteps behind us. I looked over and Yang walked up to Ruby.

Yang: You two are up early.

Ruby: Hey sis.

Ruby smiles at Yang.

Yang: Boop.

Yang let her hair down and it tickled Ruby's nose. Ruby sat up and Yang sat down next to her left.

Ruby: What are you doing up?

Yang: Can't fall back to sleep.

Ruby: Me too.

(Y/N): I have trouble going back to sleep once I wake up.

Weiss: Well, fortunately, coffee exists.

I turned around and saw Weiss holding a tray with four cups. She walked up to us and handed me and Yang a cup of coffee.

Ruby: No thanks.

Weiss: Don't worry, I put in blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar, just for you.

Ruby: Yes! Nice Weiss strikes again!

Ruby took a cup and chugged it down in one go. Aren't these hot? How did she do that without burning herself? Weiss took the last cup and sat down next to Yang.

Yang: Can't believe we're actually in Mistral.

(Y/N): That's what's unbelievable to you?

Yang: Well, yeah! And all the other magic and stuff. But... Okay, you know what I mean.

Weiss: I honestly wasn't sure if I'd ever see you two again.

Yang: Well, here's to defying expectations.

Weiss and Yang clinked their cups together. I took a sip from mine.

(Y/N): I wish everyone else can be here with us.

Weiss: Me too. But, we will all reunite eventually.

(Y/N): Eventually.

I looked down. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked over to see Ruby smiling at me.

Ruby: You shouldn't feel sad. Weiss is right, they will be back with us before you know it.

I smiled and nodded my head.

(Y/N): You're right. It's just been forever since I've seen everyone.

Yang: You sound like you have been alone for years.

(Y/N): I kinda was.

Weiss: What do you mean by that?

(Y/N): Me, mom, and dad lived in a house in the middle of the woods, so the only people I ever really talked to were my parents. So I guess I got attached to all of you. You are my friends and I want to make sure nothing bad happens to you. You guys mean so much to me.

Ruby: Aww.

Weiss: You don't have to flatter us like that.

Yang: Keep going. I like the praise.

Ruby: Yang!

Yang: I'm just joking.

Weiss: Good to see your jokes haven't gotten any better.

Yang: Hey! My jokes are good!

I laughed.

(Y/N): You're right Yang. They are pretty good.

Yang: Thank yo-

Yang stopped and looked at me. She cracked her knuckles.

Yang: You think you're funny?

I got up and started to run.

Yang: Get back here!

I quickly ran into the house. I got tackled to the ground.

(Y/N): Let me go Yang!

Yang: Since you think my jokes are so good, I should tell you some more.

What did I just get myself into? What did I do to deserve such a horrible fate?

(Weiss's POV)

I sighed and continued to drink my cup of coffee.

Ruby: Should we help (Y/N)?

Weiss: He got into that mess. It isn't our responsibility to help.

Ruby: Cmon. No one deserves to listen to Yang's jokes. He just said how much we mean to him.

Weiss: He did.

Ruby: What happened to nice Weiss?

Weiss: Fine. Let's help him.

Ruby: Nice Weiss strikes a third time!

I sighed and stood up.

Weiss: Let's get (Y/N).

Ruby nodded and stood up. We went inside the house. We saw Yang on top of (Y/N).

Yang: Why does Zwei float in water?

(Y/N): Why?

Yang: Because he is a good buoy.

(Y/N): Please stop! I don't want to hear anymore jokes!

Yang: You said you liked them.

(Y/N): I was joking!

Weiss: Come on Yang. He's suffered enough.

Yang: Can I tell him one more joke?

I looked at (Y/N) and he is shaking his head no.

Weiss: You can not.

Yang: Alright. Maybe next time.

Yang got off of (Y/N) and helped him on his feet.

Yang: I know you like my jokes.

(Y/N): I wish I could go back to sleep.

He walked up to me and Ruby.

(Y/N): Make sure she doesn't say anymore jokes.

Ruby: They aren't that bad.

(Y/N): You're only saying that because she is your sister.

I sighed.

Weiss: Stop whining like a baby or I'll tell Yang to say more jokes.

(Y/N): Please don't.

Ruby: I think we should stop talking about jokes and get some breakfast.

(Y/N): That's a good idea. I am getting hungry.
