(Readers POV)

I was sitting on the floor. Mom and dad sent a letter asking for Beacon to accept me. It has been a few days since and it is suppose to arrive anytime now.

Mom: Are you nervous sweetie?

(Y/N): A little. I just want to know if I made it.

I heard a knock on the door. Dad walked over and answered it. It was the mailman. Dad got a singular letter and said bye to the mailman. I saw the letter and it has Beacon's symbol on it. Dad walked over to me and handed it to me.

Dad: No matter what this letter says, me and your mother will be proud that you tried.

(Y/N): Thanks dad.

I mentally prepared myself and I opened the letter. Mom and dad looked on in anticipation. I pulled out a piece of paper and started to read it.

Mom: What does it say?

(Y/N): It says... I got in!

I jumped up and started to celebrate. Mom and dad looked happy and they hugged me.

Mom: I'm so proud of my baby!

Dad: I never thought this day would come!

I hugged them back.

Mom: When will you be leaving?

I checked the letter again.

(Y/N): It says that it will start in a month from now.

Dad: Then we should get you ready.

(One month later)

Me, mom, and dad are at a bunch of bullheads. Students are entering them to go to Beacon. I have my bag on my back and looked around.

(Y/N): Today is the day.

Mom: Please stay safe baby.

Dad: Make sure to keep in touch with us.

Mom: We will miss you so much.

I hugged them and they kissed my cheek.

(Y/N): I love you both.

Mom and Dad: We love you too.

I broke the hug and ran into one of the bullheads. I waved at them and the bullhead's door closed. I looked around and saw a bunch of students sitting around and they are all talking with one another.

(Y/N): I guess I need to make some friends. Can't be that hard.

I walked up to a small group of people.

(Y/N): Hey guys. I'm (Y/N).

They all looked at me like they were seeing an alien.

Students: Did we ask?

I looked down and started to walk away. I tried talking to other people, but I got the same response. Why are people being so mean? I guess making friends is harder then I thought. I sat down and started to get sad.

(Y/N): I wonder if there is anything else I can do while I wait to get to Beacon.

I just sat there. It feels like time is slowing down because I don't have anyone to talk to.

Sky: Hello there.

I looked up to see a girl standing in front of me. She has hair that reaches her shoulder. Her hair is a light pink and she has bird wings, that are the same color as her hair, coming from her back.

(Y/N): Are you talking to me?

Sky: Of course I am. Do you mind if I sit next to you?

I got excited. I'm going to get to talk to someone and they're being friendly.

(Y/N): Absolutely.

She sat down next to me.

(Y/N): I'm (Y/N).

Sky: My name is Skyla, but you can just call me Sky.

I looked in awe at her wings.

(Y/N): Your wings look so cool.

Sky started to blush a little.

Sky: You think so?

(Y/N): Of course. Can you fly with them?

Sky: I can fly easily.

(Y/N): You have to show me sometime.

Sky: I'll make sure to do so.

(Time skip)

The bullhead landed. Me and Sky got up and walked out the bullhead. I looked in amazement.

(Y/N): This is Beacon? It's beautiful.

Sky: Is this your first time seeing it?

(Y/N): Yeah. In person at least.

We started to walk. I was looking around and I bumped into something. I fell down onto the ground and saw a bunch of white cases on the floor.

(Y/N): Whats all this?

Sky: Are you ok (Y/N)?

Weiss: Excuse me?! You better be watching where you are going!

I got up and shook my head.

(Y/N): Are all these yours?

Weiss: Yes! I except an apology!

She shouted in my face. I put my hands up.

(Y/N): I'm sorry.

Weiss: Whatever. You're lucky that I'm in a good mood today.

I don't think she is in a good mood. I started to walk away with Sky.

Sky: She was incredibly rude.

(Y/N): She probably didn't mean it. Maybe she had a bad day.

Sky: I don't think so. She is most likely just like that all the time.

We walked inside Beacon and started to walk down the halls.

(Y/N): Woah. The inside looks way cooler then the outside.

Sky: You really are easily impressed.

(Y/N): This place does look great.

Sky: Yeah, I guess you're right.

We walked more and I was looking around.

(Y/N): By the way, do you know where we are supposed to go?

Sky: We need to get to the auditorium. Then we be told what to do next.

(Y/N): Then let's hurry our way to the auditorium.

I started to run but I quickly stopped and turned to Sky.

(Y/N): Do you know where it is?

Sky giggled. She walked up to me and patted my back.

Sky: Don't worry. I know where it is. Follow me.
