Khione. The name echoed around in Claire's head. Leo looked like he was trying not to run for the door.

"Where will I sleep?" She blurted out.

"Hm... I'm not sure. We'll have to make some arrangements." Chiron says.

"What kind of arrangements?" Leo exclaimed, "as far as we're concerned, Claire is the only child of Khione to ever exist.

Chiron sighs. "Leo, just because–"
Leo cuts him off. "Because what?"

"Just because Claire is the only child of Khione to exist doesn't mean you get to treat her with such hostility, Leo." Chiron finished.

"Whatever. I'm done with this crap." He says and storms out of the big house.

"My deepest apologies, Claire. Leo's been like this ever since Calypso left." Chiron apologizes.

"Who's Calypso?" Claire asks.

"I would tell you, but... that is not my information to share. You'll have to ask Leo." Great. Just when he stops talking to me is when a piece of his story is revealed, Claire thinks.

"Thank you, Chiron. I'm going to go find Leo now." Claire says.

"Very well! We'll have your cabin ready soon Claire." He says. Claire walks out of the big house and goes to the Hephaestus cabin, and knocks on the door. Fortunately, Leo answers.

"What do you want?" He asks.

"Leo, we need to talk." Claire says. He sighed, "Fine. Come with me." He leads her to a limestone cliff in the woods and places his hands on it. The cliff makes a rumbling noise, then opens. Claire gasps.

"Welcome to Bunker 9." Leo says.

"It's huge." Claire says, in utter amazement.

"Yep." Leo agrees. "So what did you want to talk about?"
"Who's Calypso?" Claire asks. Leo freezes.

"Who- who told you that name?" He questions.

"Chiron." Claire admits.

"That stupid–"

"Leo, talk to Chiron on your own terms." She interrupts.

"One thing." Leo says. "Remember that day in the infirmary when Will interrogated you about your dad and brother?"

"Yes..." She trails off. He continued, "If you tell me why you cried when Will brought up your dad..."
"Where are you going with this...?" Claire asks. Leo takes a deep breath.

"I'm saying, if you tell me about your dad, I'll tell you about Calypso." He says.

"What? No! They're two completely different scenarios!" Claire exclaims.

"Come on! They can't be that different!" Leo says. "Whatever your dad did can't be that bad."

"Not that bad? Leo, I have scars from him!" Claire shouts. Leo's teasing smile drops from his face.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry, Claire. I didn't know." Claire shoves her hands in her sweatshirt pockets.

"Whatever." She mumbles.

"Calypso was my ex-girlfriend." Leo suddenly blurts out.

"Huh?" Claire questions.

"Yeah. We- we dated." Leo says.

"Until?" Claire asks. 

"She died." Leo admits. Claire gasps and says, "Oh my gods Leo I'm so sorry. How did she die?"

Leo sighs. "We were coming back to camp after I had rescued her and as soon as we left Ogygia, Zeus appeared and said 'Your curse has not been lifted' and killed Calypso." At this point, Leo was almost in tears.

"Wait, Claire..." Leo hesitates. "Did– are all of your scars from your dad?" Claire hesitates, then shakes her head.

MWAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
