Elvira wakes before her sister and leaves the tent, staring at the snowflakes falling gently to the ground. She sighs and rubs her arms in hopes of calming her racing heartbeat down. Her mind continuously flashes between different scenarios of how today is going to end up, all varying in their severity. "Elvira Cullen," She blinks and turns to see her father walks towards her. "Do not think like that, my little dragon." He crouches, planting a kiss on her forehead. "Everything is going turn out alright." Elvira desperately wishes that she could believe the words leaving his mouth. She yearns for her mind to settle on the one scenario where they all come out alive yet she knows that is too good to be true. Her eyes observe her father's body language and come to a striking conclusion: he doesn't believe his own words either. The duo glance over to the tent when they hear rustling and Renesmee emerges with their mother. Elvira eyes the new necklace hanging around Renesmee's neck before turning her attention onto the vampires and wolves creeping their way towards the battlefield.

"If I am to die today, let me die painlessly." Elvira mumbles, ignoring the sharp looks sent her way. She whistles and Zorina appears in the sky above them. The dragon emits a loud roar as she lands beside Elvira. Elvira reaches out, gently stroking Zorina's scales. "No matter what happens today, protect my family." Zorina coos softly at Elvira, nudging underneath the girl's chin.

"Eli, there's something I want to give you." Elvira faces her mother and watches as Bella pulls out a bracelet. She hands it over to Elvira, smiling as her daughter rubs her fingers over the engraved words. "Plus que ma propre vie, it means more than my own life. That is how much your family loves you. I already told Renesmee that she has to stick to Jacob's side, but you have Leah and Zorina to protect you. I want you to stick with one of them and when I say run, you run as far away as you can." Elvira places the bracelet on her left wrist, exhaling through her nose.

"I'm sorry, mother. But whatever happens today, I will not be running away." Elvira states and quickly heads to the battlefield without allowing her mother a chance to say something back. They stand there for a moment while watching the horizon for any sign of the Volturi.

"If we live through this, I'll follow you anywhere, woman." Garrett tells Kate. The two seem to have really hit it off during their time here.

"Now you tell me." Kate amusedly shakes her head. Elvira perks up when she hears the distant rumbling of feet getting closer to their position. Leah steps beside her, licking her face. Elvira rolls her eyes at Leah but smiles at her.

"The Redcoats are coming! The Redcoats are coming!" Garrett loudly chants. Suddenly, Aro and his army become visible. Elvira sharply inhales at the sight of their overwhelming numbers. It's clear that they outnumber the Cullens and their witnesses. Edward carefully watches Aro as they walk towards them.

"Aro's looking for Alice," Edward announces. Elvira scowls, glaring angrily at the man. The Volturi stood in a straight line in front of them and they take in their opponents. Most of them seem to be in slight shock at the sight of Zorina and the wolves among the vampires. Aro's eyes land on Elvira and he narrows his eyes at her. Carlisle quickly steps forward.

"Aro, let us discuss things as we used to," a strained smile comes to his face, "in a civilized manner."

"Fair words, Carlisle. But a little out of place, given the battalion you've assembled against us." Aro comments and Elvira winces. Even being across the field from him, she can sense the power in his voice.

"I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken." Carlisle informs them.

"We see the children. Do not treat us as fools." Caius snarls, dangerously eyeing the sisters.

"They are not immortal! These witnesses can attest to that." Carlisle gestures to their friends and allies they've made. "Or you can look. See the flush of human blood in their cheeks."

"Artifice!" Caius and Elvira lock eyes, glaring heatedly at one another. Neither of them dares to break away from their staring contest.

"I will collect every facet of the truth. But from someone more central to the story. Edward, as one of the children, clings to your newborn mate, I assume you are involved." Edward leisurely makes his way towards the leader, letting Aro grab his hands and see his memories. "I'd like to meet them," Aro says after dropping Edward's hand. Elvira does not break eye contact with Caius as she takes a step forward with Zorina and Leah following her. She waits for her mother, Renesmee, Emmett, and Jacob to meet her before they move as one unit over to the Volturi. Caius seems angrier and angrier the longer Elvira keeps eye contact with him. If the situation was not so serious, she would be laughing right now. They finally reach their destination and Elvira finally breaks eye contact to stare at Aro.

"Ah. Young Bella." Aro sickeningly smiles. "Immortality becomes you." He shrieks with laughter as he hears Renesmee's and Elvira's hearts beating. "I hear their strange hearts." Aro holds out his hands, patiently waiting for the girls to grab onto one.

"Hello, Aro." The sisters chorus. Renesmee reaches up to place a hand on his cheek, quickly showing him her memories. As soon as Elvira sees her hand pull away, she grabs onto his hand to allow him to see her memories. She slowly releases his hand and takes a step back to stand beside her sister. Renesmee reaches out, gripping Elvira's hand for comfort. They watch how Aro gazes at them in awe.

"Magnifico! Half mortal, half immortal. Conceived and carried by this newborn while she was still human." He announces to the crowd, glancing at Bella. Bella quickly takes Renesmee and sets her upon Jacob. Elvira shoots her a small glare when she makes the move to do the same with her and Leah. Bella frowns, not liking that Elvira won't allow her own mother to protect her.

"Impossible!" Caius roars.

"Do you think they fooled me, brother?" Aro whirls around, facing his angry brother. The group makes their way back to their side.

"Bring the informer forward." Irina is brought towards Caius and Aro by a few guard members. Elvira gets a sick feeling in her stomach. "Are these the children you saw?"

"I'm not sure," Irina states while gazing at the sisters.

"Jane." Caius sighs and Jane evilly smirks. Before Jane could inflict any pain on her, Irina quickly changes her answer.

"They've changed. These children are bigger." Irina replies.

"Then your allegations were false." Caius seems highly annoyed at this.

"The Cullens are innocent. I take full responsibility for my mistake." Irina smiles sadly at the Cullens and her family. "I'm sorry." Caius puts the woman in a headlock, glancing at one of the guards.

"Caius, no!" Edward shouts just as Felix steps forward and snaps Irina's head off.

"Irina!" Caius sets fire to the rest of Irina's body. Kate and Tanya scream, running towards Aro and his army. Garrett rushes to grab a hold of Kate - who decides to use her power and electrocute him.

"Blind them." Edward orders. Zafrina uses her power to blind Kate and Tanya, stopping them from attacking. Elvira stares at the sisters in sadness before glancing at Renesmee. She could not imagine the pain they must be feeling.

"We must attack!" Tanya growls.

"Tanya, this is what they want. If you attack now, we'll all die." Edward calmly informs them. Zafrina stops using her power, giving the sisters their sight back.

"Pain." Elvira watches in mute horror as her father falls to her knees in pain. She smiles when he gets back onto his feet and proudly stares at her mother. Her mother is improving her gift with every passing day. Jane snarls and Alec steps forward, black mist emitting from his hands until Aro raises his hand. Alec immediately stops using his power.

"Aro, you see there's no law broken here." Carlisle points out.

"Agreed. But does it then follow that there is no danger? For the first time in our history, humans pose a threat to our kind. Their modern technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us. Maintaining our secret has never been more imperative. In such perilous times, only the known is safe. Only the known is tolerable. And we know nothing of what these children will become. Can we live with such uncertainty? Spare ourselves a fight today, only to die tomorrow." Elvira tenses up and mentally prepare herself to fight. She spots two figures walking onto the battlefield, relaxing upon the sight. "Alice!" Aro voices his excitement. As Alice and Jasper walk up to Aro and his army, two of Aro's guards stop them. "My dear, dear Alice, we're so glad to see you here, after all."

"I have evidence the child won't be a risk to our kind," Alice informs him as Aro looks at her with suspicion. "Let me show you." Alice extends her hand. Aro motions for his guards to let Alice go. Alice briskly walks up to Aro and he takes hold of her hand. Elvira watches with abated breath. Alice rips her hand out of his grip with disgust written across her face. "It doesn't matter what I show you. Even when you see. You still won't change your decision." At that moment Alice turn, looks over to Bella, and whispers, "Now!"

"Take care of my daughter." Bella mumbles and Elvira almost cries in relief at the sight of Jacob running off with her sister to safety.

"May we meet again," Elvira whispers, smiling sadly as Renesmee glances over her shoulder at her sister in panic after realizing Elvira was not joining them. Suddenly, Alice attacks Aro by kicking him with her leg which sends him flying, but he manages to land back down.

"Take her away." Aro orders. The Cullens become angry as they see Alice being dragged away by the guard.

"Let her go!" The sick feeling in her stomach intensifies as Carlisle runs forward to attack. He and Aro meet each other mid-air. A crack echoes throughout the field and Aro lands on the ground with Carlisle's decapitated head in hand. Elvira cries out, watching Caius burn her grandfather's body, and climbs onto Zorina's back.

"Zorina, kill them all." She screams. The dragon roars and takes off into the sky, breathing fire down on their enemies. The Cullens, their witnesses, and the wolf pack launch into an attack, chaos breaks out with both sides undergoing deaths. Elvira directs Zorina from target to target, smirking in satisfaction after each vampire dies burning. She hears Alice scream and quickly glances to see Jasper's decapitated body. More tears slide down Elvira's face at another familial death. "No." She chokes out, desperately wishing for this all to be a bad dream. Her ears perk up when she hears more roars and suddenly, more dragons enter the battlefield. Elvira gawks at the new dragons and their riders. She spots Eric on top of Sullivan, waving at him when he gazes over at her. The Dragonborn have come to aid them in their battle. Elvira turns her head upwards, smiling happily at the sky, and silently thanks Aunty Eli for her people. The battle continues on with deaths occurring on both sides rapidly. Elvira widens her eyes when she spots a Volturi member going after Seth. "Zorina, land." Zorina does as she is told, landing and letting Elvira off her back. "Hey!" The vampire turns to face her, ignoring the wolf to go after her. "Big mistake." Seth lunges forward and tears his head off. Zorina breathes fire onto the body, successfully killing him. Seth and Elvira stare at each other for a moment before Seth bows his head towards her. "How about we stick together." She gently laughs. "We don't need you dying on us." Seth grunts at her words. The two continue to kill vampires together with Zorina burning their bodies. Suddenly, the ground splits open to reveal a fiery abyss. Elvira rushes towards the split when she notices Esme struggling to fight off a Volturi member and make it back up to safety; however, someone else acted on her behalf. Elvira releases the loudest scream possible as Leah launches herself at the duo and tears the vampire off Esme. She collapses next to the edge, sobbing when Leah and her make eye contact. Leah howls sadly as her body is engulfed in flames. Elvira gasps, her heart shattering and pain overwhelming all of her senses. She could not focus on the battle raging around her, she can only focus on the growing hole in her soul.

"Eli!" She hears her mother and father screech her name. She gazes up, seeing her parents begin to run towards her with fear painted across their faces. She slowly turns just in time to see Aro standing above her. At that moment, she does not care about what he does to her. She just wants the pain to stop.
