"Is this some sort of sick trick?" Vladimir snarls, angrily glancing between Carlisle and Elvira. "You," he pauses and narrows his eyes at her before appearing right next to her. Everyone tenses as they watch him crouch beside her and take in her features, "don't actually look like her." He muses in surprise. "You have her eyes, but she never had almond-shaped eyes. No, her eyes were upturned. And your hair is a startling white color, drastically different from her beautiful red hair. You do have a dragon, one that looks similar to Vera." The Cullens and Stefan are gawking at the strange situation happening before them. They truly thought that Vladimir would go off the rails, but here he is, calmly taking note of the differences between Elvira Cullen and Elvira Targaryen. "Her scales are a different texture," he comments while stroking Zorina's head. He steps away from her just in time to avoid his head being bitten off by Leah. The she-wolf snarls at him, standing protectively in front of her mate. "I see you have already found your soulmate at such a young age too. Do not sorry, little wolf. I will not touch a single hair on your mate's head." He smiles at Elvira, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "My name is Vladimir and that is my darling brother, Stefan."

"My aunt wrote about you in her journals. She wrote a lot of letters addressed to you. My name is Elvira, and you are here to protect my sister and me." Elvira states. Edward covers his mouth to hide the chuckles threatening to escape and Bella leans into his chest with a smile on her face. Both parents are secretly glad that Vladimir would not be making a move on their daughter anytime soon.

"That we are." Stefan winks playfully at her. Elvira curiously tilts her head to the side, warily eyeing the duo before returning his wink.

Elvira yawns tiredly, wrapping her arms around Leah's neck as they head to the car. "Why are we visiting papa?" She questions while being placed in the back with Renesmee. The sisters exchange tired looks, both not wanting to go spend the day with their grandfather and his girlfriend. Jacob slides into the back with the girls as Leah gets in the passenger seat and Bella starts the car up.

"Because your grandfather has not seen you two in a while and is going to show up randomly which will end badly. We have too many human blood drinkers at our house." Bella informs them, narrowing her eyes at a black figure trying to follow them. "Eli, can you please tell Zorina she cannot join us today?" Elvira groans yet rolls down her window and sticks her head out since she was not in the mood to mentally communicate with Zorina.

"Zo, bad girl." Elvira scolds her dragon. "You have to stay here." Zorina huffs, emitting smoke from her nose. "Do not get sassy with me, young lady!" The other vampires watch in amusement as the dragon - who is the size of a house - gets yelled at by a child. Zorina sticks her head in the air and stalks off into the woods. Elvira sighs, rolling her window back up and adjusting herself in her seat. She pauses when she sees everyone in the car staring at her. "What?"

"Nothing." Bella laughs and begins to drive towards her old home.

"Can we put on music?" Renesmee asks, staring at the radio that is currently silent. Leah shrugs and turns the volume up. "Eli, it's our song!" Elvira and Renesmee excitingly giggle as Fireflies by Owl City plays. "You would not believe your eyes, if ten million fireflies," the girls begin to sign purposely off-key to annoy the others in the car. The entire trip to Charlie's house consisted of the sisters singing and the wolves begging them to stop as Bella laughed at their antics.

"Hello!" Charlie greets his grandchildren with a beaming smile on his face. "Wow, you've grown like six inches." He states while observing the girls in slight shock. Sue gently strokes Elvira's hair, giving her a gentle smile. Renesmee understood why Sue gives Elvira more attention whenever they see each other considering Leah and Elvira are soulfully connected. Charlie directs his entire attention onto Renesmee as Sue takes Elvira away to bake some cookies. "You and I are going to decorate the tree. How does that sound?" Renesmee grins and happily claps her hands.

"I got a few errands to run, but I'll be back soon. Okay?" Elvira pauses in the entrance to the kitchen and glances over to stare at her mother. Renesmee narrows her eyes at Bella, both sisters knowing something up yet did not bother to voice their suspicions. They watch carefully as their mother leaves before turning to face each other. They silently communicate through their eyes and nod their heads, walking towards their desired destinations.

"I will never get used to them doing that." Jacob comments, shivering next to Leah. Leah rolls her eyes at him and elbows him in the ribs.

Elvira and Renesmee enjoy the day of normalcy with their grandfather, pretending to be normal human children and like their lives are not currently being threatened by the Volturi. They both will remember the happiness they felt as they ate cookies while attempting to put the angel on top of the tree. They will remember the expressions of love on everyone's face as they watched the sisters goof off in the snow. Renesmee will not forget watching Leah chase Elvira around the house because the dragon girl thought it would be a good idea to shove snow down the she-wolf's shirt. She will forever cherish the way her sister's eyes lit up as she laughed.

Oh yes, Renesmee will definitely cherish this day for years to come.

Renesmee and Elvira huddle for warmth by the bonfire, watching the flames flicker harmoniously with the stories being passed around by the vampires and wolves. Elvira locks eyes with Vladimir from across the fire. The two stare at each other for a moment before Vladimir gazes away. She cocks an eyebrow at his action, briefly pondering on whether or not she should ask him about it yet decides not to as Leah and Seth join the bonfire. Elvira grins when Leah sits next to her, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her into her chest. Elvira buries herself further within Leah's embrace and closes her eyes. She soaks up the warmth radiating off Leah and lazily listens to the story Garret is finishing up. "I believe it's my turn to tell a story." Vladimir dastardly smirks, patting Stefan's shoulder. "Did my bellflower ever tell you about this story when the three of us almost got Finlay killed?" This catches everyone's attention and even Elvira wakes up a little bit in order to hear the story.

"First do all, it wasn't our fault. Despite everything you may know about Finlay from Elvira, he was lacking in the common sense department." Stefan cuts in causing some laughter to erupt throughout the small group.

"Finlay decided that it would be a good idea to have sword training in the dining hall of the castle where there were massive windows." Stefan bows his head, trying to mute his laughter. "Elvira and Finlay were on the wooden table, continuously parrying and striking each other with wooden swords. Finlay never felt safe enough to use actual swords with his sister because he thought one of them would accidentally kill the other. Elvira got the upper hand and stabbed Finlay in the arm. Unfortunately, Finlay was right next to a window. Fortunately for him, Finlay's pants caught on one of the stones when he fell. I still remember the expression of utter horror on his face as he hung upside down as he trusted his pants to save his life." Everyone is howling in laughter at the tale, imagining the entire scenario in their heads. Elvira's eyes involuntarily close as her body succumbs to her tiredness. She grunts when someone picks her up and cuddles closer to them for warmth. The person carefully places her on her bed in the tent before quietly leaving.

"Eli," she cracks open her eye to see Renesmee frowning, "did Aunt Alice and Uncle Jasper leave because they know we're going to die?"

"No, they left to protect us." Renesmee moves her bed closer to Elvira's and lays down. She rests her head on Elvira's chest, staring blankly at the inside of the tent. Elvira wraps her arms around Renesmee and nuzzles her face in Renesmee's hair.

"I don't wanna die." Renesmee fearfully whispers. An overwhelming feeling of protectiveness strikes Elvira's heart at the utter fear in her sister's eyes.

"Nessie, no one is going to touch you tomorrow. I swear on my life."
