"Gather as many witnesses as you can before the snow sticks to the ground."
Elvira silently thinks over the words Alice and Jasper has left for them before they vanished. They promised her that they would be back, and she will continue to have faith in that promise until the day comes. The Cullen glances over at her younger sister, frowning at the worried expression on Renesmee's face. Currently, the twins, their parents, Jacob and Leah are driving to visit their cousins in Alaska.
"Nessie," Elvira softly calls out her name to gain her attention. Glistening brown orbs lock onto her periwinkle ones. She smiles and reaches over to grab Nessie's hand. "There's no reason to worry. They're our family, they'll help us once they understand." Renesmee tucks herself into her older sister's embrace, nuzzling her head in Elvira's neck. She glances up and sees her mother watching them through the rearview mirror. Honestly, the negative emotion clearly displayed in her mother's eyes made her heart clench in worry. Would their family not accept them? Would they reject them and let the Volturi tear them apart like dogs? They pull up to a log cabin in the middle of nowhere. The twins watch as their father steps out of the car and approach the four figures walking out of the cabin. Elvira wishes she brought Zorina with her while nervously observing the interaction. Her father gazes back at the car, and Elvira sucks in a sharp breath.
"Are you okay?" Renesmee slightly moves out of her sister's arms to stare at their mother.
"What if they don't like us?" She asks.
"They'll love you." Jacob immediately reassured his imprint. Elvira glances towards Leah to see her nodding in agreement.
"They will," Bella replies. "Once they understand you." Elvira wants to snort at how much like her mother and she is.
"They just haven't met anyone like you guys before." Jacob mumbles. Jacob, Bella, and Leah exit the cat first before letting the twins out right behind them. Bella grabs her daughters' hands as the wolves each grab their imprints' other hand. Together, they walk towards the group. Elvira flinches when she sees the group flinch back and gasp at the sight of her and Renesmee. She notices the lingering stares on her because of her strange eye color. Elvira whimpers when the two blondes attack her father only for her mother to rush to his aid. Leah and Jacob stand protectively in front of the twins during the altercation, stopping them from walking ahh closer to the group.
"They have blood in their veins. You can feel their warmth." Edward spits out once finished with fighting.
"I can feel it." The woman with black hair responds, staring at Elvira.
"I'm their biological father. Bella's their mother." Edward continues.
"Impossible." One of the blondes states.
"It's true. They were born while I was still human." Bella explains.
"Never heard of such a thing." The male comments without taking his eyes off the girls for a second.
"They can show you if you let them." Edward has a hint of desperation in his voice, something the vampires pick up on. They know Edward well enough to know that he is never desperate for anything.
"Leah, are they going to hurt us?" Elvira whispers and clenches the girl's hand a little tighter.
"I'll strike them down before they can ever lay a hand on you." Leah snarls. A sense of protection and safety washes over Elvira as they
"You owe us this much. We're all under a death sentence because your sister didn't let us explain." Edward nearly growls out while his daughters stand beside him with their imprints. Jacob picks up Renesmee, heading towards the curly blonde girl who started the fight.
"Don't be afraid. This is how she communicates." Bella informs them. Renesmee reaches out and places a hand on the woman's cheek. Elvira sees the glazed look in her eyes as Renesmee plays every memory of their conception up to their birth.
"It's true." She mumbles after Renesmee takes her hand away. "They're not immortal." The family of vampires all approach the twins with interest in those words.
"Elvira, Renesmee, meet your cousins. This is Tanya, Kate, Eleazar, and Carmen." Bella introduces them to her daughters.
"Both of your daughters have powers." Eleazar is interrupted by a screech as a dark figure flies towards them.
"Eli, I thought we told you to leave Zorina at home." Edward lightly scolds while the black-scaled dragon lands beside Elvira. Elvira nervously chuckles, reaching out to pat Zorina's leg. The dragon has grown even more in the last few days. She was the size of a human child, but now she towers over even the tallest human adult. Zorina bends her head down to stare intimidatingly at the vampires, blowing hot air out of her nose.
"Zo," Elvira slaps the dragon's legs at her aggressive actions, "I'm sorry, dad. I think she picked up on my negative emotions and decided to follow us."
"Amazing," Eleazar whispers, closely observing the girl and her dragon in awe. The shocked blonde sisters take a step away from the commotion. Their golden eyes stare unblinkingly at Zorina before snapping their eyes to the little girl next to the large beast.
"Are one of you a descendant of the Dragonborn? How on earth does your daughter have periwinkle eyes and a dragon?" Tanya questions.
"Nope!" Surprisingly, Renesmee speaks up against those questions. The brunette grins widely and wraps her arms around Elvira. "My sister just happens to be the reincarnation of Aunty Eli!" Renesmee's voice holds so much pride for her older sister that Elvira blushes. Leah and Jacob chuckle at the cuteness of their imprints.
"Aunty Eli, as in Elvira Targaryen?" Carmen inquires, narrowing her eyes at Edward. She then realizes that Renesmee said reincarnation. "Did she die?"
"Unfortunately, yes. The Dawnguard killed her." Edward solemnly tells her. Carmen covers her mouth in shock, and Eleazar comfortingly places his hand on her bicep. Tanya and Kate glance worriedly at each other, knowing the slight affections Irina had for the girl.
"You have a daughter who is able to break through people's mental defenses and show them images or thoughts. Your other daughter has the ability to communicate with animals and control their emotions." Eleazar bemusedly shakes his head. "Only you would have such unique children." Edward chuckles at the man's words and slightly nods.
"I wouldn't change it for the world." He earnestly comments. Bella contently smiles, leaning onto Edward. The twins narrow their eyes at the blonde sisters when they notice the full vampires looking at them.
"Do you have a problem?" Leah growls while placing a hand on Elvira's shoulder.
"Of course not." Tanya shakes her head as if snapping out of a trance and nudges her sister out of it too. The twins gaze up at their parents, recognizing the happiness and relaxation radiating in their eyes. They are now one step closer to gathering enough witnesses to stop the Volturi.

Eighteen vampires from around the world have been coming to see if what the Cullens told them is true. The twins have continuously shown their powers off and their human characteristics to win the eighteen witnesses over. The twins have picked their favorite in the group of witnesses, vampires that each have their own unique stories to tell. Renesmee particularly likes the Amazon Coven - consisting of Kachiri, Zafrina, and Senna; however, Kachiri stayed behind in their forest. The Amazon Coven were sent to the Cullens by Jasper and Alice, only furthering Elvira's faith in them coming back when she needs them most. Renesmee likes them due to the fact that Zafrina has the ability to create vivid illusions without having to touch someone. While Renesmee likes the nearly feral vampires, Elvira prefers the Irish Coven - consisting of Maggie, Liam, and Siobhan. Maggie has the ability to detect when people are lying which Elvira finds very useful. Elvira and Maggie get along quite well due to the fact that Zorina took a liking towards the Irish girl and that Elvira never lies to her which Maggie adores. Maggie teaches Elvira's Irish folk songs and dances whenever the silver-haired with periwinkle-eyed girl demands for it.
Elvira and Maggie are outside of the house, taking turns throwing some meat for Zorina to catch. Elvira rolls her eyes while listening to Jacob complain about how red eyes are starting to completely surround him. She understood his frustrations due to his wolf nature and the fact that new wolves have been phasing each day because of the arrival of more vampires. Elvira also feels those frustrations because Leah is always out on patrol and away from the house since she can't stand behind around so many vampires at once. Elvira is noticeably more snippy than usual considering she is hardly ever with Leah nowadays. Maggie and Elvira pause when they see how irritated Zorina is at something. She stomps her front foot on the ground, her eyes staring deep within the forest and low whines emit from her throat. That's when Elvira heard it, two sets of fast footsteps approaching them. Maggie realizes what the little girl is about to do and quickly goes to grab Elvira who dodges it. Elvira hops onto Zorina's back and pets her head. "Follow them." She hisses, gesturing towards her parents who bolted after the newcomers. Zorina roars and dashes to follow her family. A mere seconds pass before they make it to where her family and the wolves are in the woods.
Everyone stares at two figures sitting on top of a ledge. Elvira curiously glances up to see exactly who they were gazing at, locking eyes with two males. The white-haired one immediately launches into a defensive crouch while snarling angrily at the sight of her and Zorina. The black-haired male openly gawks at the duo, shock clearly shown on his face.
"Hi?" Elvira questions more than states after seeing their negative reaction towards her and slowly waves from her spot on Zorina's back.
