Elvira Cullen hums to herself as her fingers cautiously wrap around the bow in her hand and settles the violin onto her shoulder, holding it in place with her chin. Her periwinkle eyes flutter shut while she begins to play the first notes to Paper Crown by Alec Benjamin. Her body sways as she loses herself to the music, becoming one with the song and her violin. She pays no mind to the light footsteps she hears nearing the room she is currently occupying. She has gotten accustomed to listening to everyone's footsteps and is now able to identify who exactly is walking towards her. She hides a smile as Renesmee creeps closer to her. She cracks open her right eye, watching her younger twin sister amble towards her slowly. She focuses back on the song while Renesmee begins to sing the lyrics to the sing softly.

"A paper crown, and a heart made of glass, a tattered gown, and her kingdom of ash." Jasper perks up from his position downstairs, carefully listening to his nieces. Alice notices the strange expression on her mate's face and decides to listen in as well. Currently, they are the only ones present because everyone else went hunting. They stayed back to keep the girls' company until Leah and Jacob could come over. "She walks alone, can never look back, the story of a queen whose castle has fallen to the sea. She'll make it out, but she's never the same." The two sisters grin at each other and twirl around one other. Their high-pitched giggles echoing in the air. The duo begins to dance and sing in unison. "She's lookin' down, at the scars that remain. But you hold your ground, though your kingdoms in flames cause it's the story of a queen whose castle has fallen to the sea, knowing there's no one who will be a king that will come and save his queen. When all she needs, and all she wants, and all she finds. When all she is, and ever was, is compromised cause there's no one to love her. You built your walls too high and there's no one to love you when you build your walls too high." Renesmee jumps on top of the bed and extends her arms out above her. Elvira emits a laugh at the silliness of her sister. Jasper and Alice glance up as the rest of their family arrive after feeding with the wolves in tow. Edward stands behind Bella, wrapping his arms around her waist. Everyone pauses to listen to the girls. "She's looking out, from the war that's inside. She's screaming out, cause no one survived. But when you're all alone, you wait and you hide cause it's the story of a queen whose castle has fallen to the sea, knowing, there's no one who will be a king that will come and save his queen." Carlisle grimaces at the lyrics and tightly holds Esme's hands. "When all she needs, and all she wants, and all she finds. When all she is, and ever was, is compromised cause there's no one to love her. You built your walls too high and there's no one to love you when you build your walls too high. There is no one, who is strong enough, to save your love. There's no fairytale, there's no fairytale." Renesmee settles down on the bench by the piano and gently rests her fingers onto the few keys she knows how to play. She takes a look at her sister, gesturing towards the piano to ask for permission to play. Elvira nods her head, allowing Renesmee to play along with her. "When all she needs, and all she wants, and all she finds. When all she is, and ever was, is compromised cause there's no one to love her. You built your walls too high and there's no one to love you when you trap yourself inside." Elvira and Renesmee finish playing the last notes of the song. A strange solemn mood surrounds them as they gaze at one another.

"Eli," Renesmee whispers, "do you ever think about Aunty Elvira?"

"Frequently," Elvira replies, placing her violin and bow back into their case. Renesmee observes her older sister and notices the strange glint in her periwinkle eyes.

"There's something you want to tell me, so tell me." Renesmee crosses her arms while cocking an eyebrow. Elvira rolls her eyes at Nessie, but smiles. Elvira truly adores the relationship she has with her sister considering all the horrible things she reads and sees on television. In most cases, there is a favorite twin, and the hated twin and the twins usually despised each other; however, for the Cullens, that was not the case. Both twins are treated fairly and equally in the home and absolutely adore one another. They do understand that their family has picked their favorite twin and neither sister was bothered by it. Jasper, Rosalie, and Carlisle spend most of their time with Elvira while Alice, Emmett, and Esme are usually around Renesmee. But none of them treat the opposite twin in any malicious manner. Elvira never understands why authors or screenwriters feel the need to put one twin against the other. It's never made any sense to her considering how close she is with her own twin. "Eli?" Elvira blinks out of her thought to see Renesmee staring at her in concern.

"I had a weird dream last night," Elvira admits.

"What kind of weird dream?" Renesmee giggles as she wiggles her eyebrows.

Elvira scoffs in disgust, "you've been spending too much time with Uncle Emmy." Renesmee purses her lips before nodding her head in agreement. "In my dream, there was this vampire with white hair and crimson eyes."

"Vladimir?" Renesmee whispers the name the twins have only ever heard in Aunty Eli's letters because everyone downright refuses to tell them anything else about the man.

"I think so," Elvira furrows her eyebrows together.

"Tell me everything." Renesmee takes Elvira's hands and leads her to the bed. The duo sits next to each other, unknowingly that their entire family and wolves were listening to their engine conversation.

Alice gently places a hand on Jasper's cheek, "Why don't we go hunting?" She suggests because she does not want him to listen to this. He was just getting better and she is not letting him backtrack on his recovery. Jasper takes her hand, holding it, and brings it down to rest in his lap. He shakes his head no and earns uncertain looks from his family.

"I'm fine." He hisses.

Vladimir knew what had happened to Elvira. One minute, he was running through the woods hunting down a few campers. The next, he was laying on the ground overwhelmed with pain and sadness. He knew exactly what that meant. He wishes he didn't so he could have stayed ignorant to what has happened to his soulmate. The white-haired vampire grips his chest where his dead heart lies. He emits a loud cry, scaring all the animals away from his location. "No," he whispers. "This can't be happening." He stumbles back to his feet and stares down at his hands in disbelief. He cannot even imagine how Elvira's soft skin once felt under his touch. He does not remember how soft her voice sounded to his ears. He no longer knows how her periwinkle eyes would gleam in the sunlight. When did he start forgetting little things about her? Has it truly been that long?

"Sir, are you alright?" The campers, who he was hunting merely seconds ago, cautiously stroll out of the thick tree line and towards him. The campers notice his strange white hair and pale skin, yet none of them have seen his crimson eyes yet.

"She's dead." He mumbles and lowly laughs in denial. He continues to gaze downwards as he allows the campers to approach him.

"Sir?" One camper hesitantly rests a hand on his arm. "Do you need help?"

"Can you help me?" He softly asks.

"Of course, we can help with anything you need." Another camper states and the rest make sounds of agreement.

"I'm so thirsty," he comments.

"We have water." He hears one of the humans shuffle through their bag to search for the water.

"No, no. Water won't do," he holds up a hand and lifts his head, "I need blood." The camper shriek in fear as they finally see his crimson eyes. They all begin to run in different directions, screaming for help. He rolls his eyes in annoyance and uses his super-speed to grab each human, dropping them off at the abandoned house in the woods he has been using as his home for the last few months. He slams the door shut behind him. He observes the fragile creatures before him. "Have you ever wondered how death feels?" He stalks towards his prey with his fangs protruding from his mouth. The girl cowering behind the group loudly sobs. He calmly strolls over to her, the humans make a pathway for him to approach her and don't even try to stop him. He gently runs his hands through her hair and focuses on how soft her hair is. "I do not remember her," he says, "the texture of her skin has left my mind, the way her lips would curl when she smiles has been forgotten, the sound of her voice can no longer soothe me, and most of all, the loving gleam in her eyes will never be seen again. Do you know how angry I am right now? How could she let herself die? I was going to go find her after I destroyed the Volturi. I was going to make her a proper queen again. I was going to give her a kingdom to rule over once more. Why couldn't she have waited for me to come to get her?" He snarls in the girl's face. "Answer me!" The girl cries harder. "You're right, you're totally right. I was the one who left her in the first place, but that's because I understood she couldn't be worrying about revenge when she still had people to take care of. But they're all dead, they've been dead for centuries now. You know, she doesn't know that I would stop by once in a while to check in on her. I could never bring myself to approach her while she was awake. I read all the letters she would write to me in her notebook. Oh, how could I do this to my soulmate? How could I abandon her to get revenge? Now it's too late to make everything up to her, she's dead." He maniacally laughs. "When you see her in death, tell her that I will be a better man to her reincarnation." Before anyone could react, he punches his hand into her chest and rips out her heart. He drops the item on the floor while screaming erupts from the people behind him. The guys attempt to knock down the door, yet nothing would make the door budge. He sighs, taking a handkerchief and cleaning the blood off of his hand. "I hope you do understand that I hate making a mess and that was out of character of me." He pivots on his heels to face the terrified group of people. "I am truly sorry." In a flash, every single breathing creature in the house was killed. He eyes the puddles of blood forming on the wooden flooring. "The blood reminds me of her hair," he states while crouching down to dip his fingers in it. He sucks the blood off his fingers and the door to the house is knocked down by Stefan.

"Vlad," he paused when he notices all of the dead bodies. "You know."

"I'm assuming wherever you disappeared off to that you were with Elvira." Vladimir calmly rises to his feet, ignoring the blood splatters on his suit.

"We were captured by the Dawnguard," Vladimir immediately frowns, "Elvira found the last remaining people of her species there. She led every single supernatural creature captured in a battle against the Dawnguard. They somehow figured out how to make us all mortal plus they had her dragons." Stefan pauses to observe his dear friend.

"They pissed her off," Vladimir chuckles. "She died in battle then."

"She fought the Dawnguard leader. He poisoned her, there was nothing anyone could do to save her." Stefan bites his lips, trying to formulate the words in his head. "The Dawnguard is dead. She completely wiped them out."

"Good, good." Vladimir nods his head. "If she hadn't, I certainly would've." He snarls.

"She was good," Stefan whispers and Vladimir freezes. "She found someone else to love and was starting to be happy again." Vladimir clenches his jaw, curling his hands into tight fists. "She was enjoying her life and moving on from the past."

"Be quiet," Vladimir hisses and successfully silences Stefan. "We need to make her a grave." Stefan nods in agreement. Vladimir walks out of the house with Stefan trailing behind. The white-haired vampire stops in front of an oak tree. "Elvira and Finlay craved their names and a symbol representing them in trees as children. She used to go on about how they would spend hours picking out the right tree for them and then spend another hour just craving. They stopped doing that when Finlay's royal duties started to get in the way of them spending time together." Vladimir uses his sharp and long nails to crave into the oak tree. Stefan watches, feeling sadness at seeing how broken his friend is at the death of his soulmate. The name, 'Elvira Adelina Targaryen,' can clearly be seen along with the ancient symbol of the snake eating itself.

"The ouroboros," Stefan easily recognizes the symbol. He curiously eyes Vladimir as if to ask how the symbol represented Elvira.

"It has multiple meanings, but the Dragonborns focused on the creation out of destruction part of it," Vladimir informs Stefan. "Whenever a newborn Dragonborn is baptized, they also receive their prophesied destiny. Elvira was told that she would create a new kingdom through the destruction of another. I guess it came true considering she destroyed the Dawnguard and her people are most likely rebuilding their civilization now." The two vampires stare at the cravings for a moment in complete silence.

"Let us hope that the sun shines upon her once more," Stefan mumbles. Vladimir closes his eyes, bowing his head and resting his hand on the tree.

"I'm sorry for everything, my bellflower."

"The weirdest part is, I felt like I knew them." Elvira muses, "as if I and they met once."

"It's just a dream, probably means nothing." Renesmee shrugs. "I would just forget about it."

"Honestly, that's probably what I'm gonna do." The two chuckle. Elvira and Renesmee lay horizontally down on the bed, in opposite directions so their heads are next to each other and their feet hang slightly off the bed. "Your hair has gotten darker," Elvira informs her.

"Really? I haven't noticed." Renesmee glances at Elvira. "You know, your hair is becoming more silver than blonde."

"Really? I haven't noticed." Elvira mocks, sending her sister a smile after receiving a glare. Both sisters pause and glance at the doorway where they see their mother. Bella lovingly smiles at them.

"It's snowing in the mountains, do you wanna go play?" Both girls squeal in excitement, already rushing out of the room they were into their cottage which is not that far from the Cullen's house. They head to their shared room. Elvira and Renesmee dress in winter clothes, yet Elvira's clothes are slightly different from Renesmee's. Much like Elvira Targaryen, the cold does not bother Elvira Cullen. She still wears warm clothes, but not as much as Renesmee has to wear. Renesmee stumbles and trips over the rug when she goes to put her shoes on while standing up. Elvira bursts out laughing, bending over to hold her stomach.

"Shut up," Renesmee angrily throws a shoe at Elvira's head. Elvira dodges, but stumbles and falls into her butt. Utter silence fills the room as the sisters gaze at one another before loud laughter emits from them both.

"What is going on?" Leah and Jacob appear in the doorway to their room, staring at the girls in confusion and amusement. Every time the girls tried to explain, they would laugh even more. "Come on giggles, we have to go." Leah picks Elvira up and holds her against her hip. Elvira tucks her face in Leah's torso, still laughing.

"You good, Nessie?" Jacob asks as he lifts Renesmee onto his back.

"Peachy." She states with a small laugh. The wolves walk out of the cottage with their giggling imprints. Bella curiously gazes at her children before glancing at the wolves for an answer.

"Don't ask us, we can't get a straight answer out of them before they start laughing again." Jacob shrugs.
