We are all broken. Broken people. 

Broken

Shattered. 

The fire that broke us left us

Scarred. 

Some of us have chosen to forget the past. 

Some of us have chosen to dwell on it.

Some of us have found another broken person, one who fits their break, and together they have formed a whole. 

We are all broken. 

Scarred. 

Ugly.

But not hopeless. 

There is a spirit in us greater than what is  happening to us. 

Our fire.

Fire is what broke us. 

Fire is what scarred us. 

Fire is what killed us. 

But fire is what sustains us. 

Even now, in the depths of our brokenness, we have been saved. 

Purified. 

Refined. 

Through fire.
