I can get at least one hour of sleep before the chatter of students fills every quiet space. The main entrance of the school is always locked but there is a door that leads into the janitor's room which is always unlocked. I walk towards the back of the school and open the door. It's really hard to open so I use my body weight to pry it open. The door opens with a "click" and I walk inside.
The room smells of cleaning products and it's unusually warm. I walk to the door on the other side of the room and open it sending a gush of cool air into the room. I walk up two flights of stairs. Skipping one step each time. I get to the thrid floor and open the door to the Shoebox.
The Shoebox is a little room that is across from my first period class. I found this room on the first day of this year. I was thinking of starting a club but all the rooms were been occupied for other clubs. During my lunch hour I was searching for the vice principal. I asked this girl in the hallway named Leah if she could tell me where the vice principals office was. She said it was on the thrid floor across from Ms. Michard's classroom, which is my first period. As I soon as I opened the door I fell in love with it. It was so quaint. There was an old dusty desk in the middle and a bookshelf in the corner. There is also a little window that lights up the entire room.
When I got home from school I searched my room for things I could decorate the Shoebox with. I put all my favorite books in a reusable shopping bag. I found an old desk lamp in my closet that still works. I searched every inch of my house for money I could use to buy a bean bag chair I saw at the dollar store.
After walking up three flights of stairs I'm out of breath. I'm so tired. I immediately put my book bag in the pink bean bag chair and sit down at my desk. I prop my feet up on a chair and sleep.
