Hey guys, we on a roll here! New chapter and good news because I'm so busy with getting ready for my trip I'm lucky to get this published. Enjoy!

Fontaine's pov:
---------------------
This morning had been insane. It's the girls birthday today, and they have been ordering all sorts of things. Bella ordered a mini castle made out of banoffee french pancakes, and Evie wanted no school and a bouncy house made out of candy.
But thankfully we had it sorta under control. Finn had given them breakfast and sent them off to school. Jess had arrived a few minutes later and Maddy had come to help.
I knew from the minute I woke up that Ant was plotting something. He has that evil look in his eyes, and whatever he was doing was not going to be good.
Brushing the thoughts out of my head, I walked into the kitchen.
"Your majesty! Do you have the chef menu?" Head chef asked.
"Yes. Please have it ready soon." I smiled.
"Fontaine! We have a problem." Maddy yelled running in.
"What on earth? Are you ok, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Ummmmmmmmmmm, Jess may have accidentally used a explosion stone on the entire party room." Maddy mumbled.
"What?!" I yelled, running out with her.
"Yeah it's not pretty." Maddy hissed.
"How on earth did she even get a histalemnia spell stone?" I asked.
"Guess. I'll help you hide the body." Maddy replied as we slowed down.
"Shit. Ant? Oh my god I am going to kill him. Where the fuck is he?" I yelled.
"Currently hiding. I don't know why he did it! But we can find him after. For now we really need to fix this mess. Where is Finn? We could really use the help." Maddy asked.
"If we wanted to do another ball, we had to delay the last lot of meetings for Lemuria. Finn is with the officials." I answered.
"Crap. Oh well. Let's focus on fixing this mess." Maddy said firmly.
"Yes. Uh.... Ok. I need you to guy get the guards to find some of the crystal gems we used to decorate. And where is Jess?" I asked.
"In the ballroom. Trying to clean up." Maddy answered.
As I continued on, I smacked into my little brother.
"Antaeus what are you doing?" I asked with a creepy calmness to my voice.
Ant gulped. "Going to my etiquette class?" He replied.
"And why did you give Jess a histalemnia stone?" I demanded.
"It was an accident! I meant to give it to Maddy. She wanted me to help her at a pottery class, for the orphan kids. But everytime I tried to make anything, and I mean anything, it ended looking like a explosion of sticky cement. So I decided to give her the stone and have it 'accidentally' blow up the pottery room. But Jess spotted it and picked it up. She shook it too much and it activated, and before I could get it off her, she blew up the party area!" Ant replied, nervously checking for his girlfriend.
"Oh Ant. You are so stubborn. Ok, forget it. Accidents happen. Next time just tell her. She's your girlfriend and you guys aren't 11 anymore. She's not going to mock you like she's better if you can't do something she can." I scolded.
"Good point. Ok, I'm going to go clean up the ballroom with Jess. Need anything?" Ant, now far more subdued asked.
"No, I'm all good. Just gonna grab some new party favours, and the flags, the purple ones need to be re-hung. Get moving little bro! You need to fix your mess before Maddy eats you for dinner." I smirked.
He nodded and bolted out, and I continued in to the Royal treasury.
Show time! Time to fix this whole mess before the girls get back from school.

Finn's pov:
-----------------------
Well, this meeting with the nobles did not go how I expected it to. Obviously the only other nobles were one extra guy from the older guardian order who is supposedly in charge of keeping track of births and deaths and marriages in lemuria for the royals. But Nereus, Glokas, and Coralie were all present too. They shoved law after law in my face and I did not appreciate it.
"Excuse me but I am the King! I should actually get a say in all of this. You are not just marrying my daughter's off before they are even close to being of age! And to who, your sons, Calder? They are already not good enough!" I spat.
"My lord, it's been a tradition since the founding of Lemuria. The first King decided that nobles sons would marry his daughters." Calder replied.
"I do not care! They are my daughters. I have the right to say what will happen. And I said NO!" I yelled.
"Please, King Finn. Calm yourself. It is very understandable that you do not want your daughters betrothed at this age. And Calder has exaggerated a little." Glokas said, with a calm face.
"Yes, It's true. The Princesses should be betrothed to someone by the time they are 11. For the stability of Lemuria, the first King set up this law. That way, no one Ruler was caring for the country at once. It is your choice who they marry. Once they are betrothed, they can't break it off. But you have full control over who they marry." Nereus said.
"Having said so" Calder interrupted, "it's better if they marry a noble of some kind. For stability."
"They aren't marrying your sons, Calder. Stop. Anyway Evie is older. So technically, since she will be Queen when the time comes, she is the only one who needs to be married, right?" I asked.
"Well, usually that is the case. But when twins are involved, both should be betrothed. Even if Princess Evie does takeover when the time comes, the law was that both should be. Just in case. In addition, it is bound in the same magic that gives us you your powers." Coralie smiled.
"Fine. How long do I have to decide?" I demanded.
"Well, you should decide fairly soon. Buy you do have until the girls are 8 to properly decide. And it should be announced at their 11th birthday party. The sooner you decide the better. Then no one can claim you aren't ruling properly." Nereus answered.
"Very well. Meeting adjourned. And Calder? If any word of this gets out, I will blame you and only you." I said firmly.
"Yes my lord." He glared, bowing and walking out.
"The rest of you can meet with me next week. I'll speak with Fontaine and we will come to a conclusion." I said.
The bowed to me and walked out, and I nodded to the guards who followed them and locked the door. Once it closed I pulled my crown off and ran my fingers through my hair.
"Shit. On their birthday?! Really, that is ridiculous. Ugh, how is Fontaine going to react to this?" I mumbled outloud.
Once I had calmed down enough, I put my crown back on, straightened my robes and walked out of my office. Ant bumped into me as I came out.
"Crap, sorry Finn. Per chance, have you seen your sister?" Ant asked, visibly panicked.
"No..... What have you done?" I smirked.
"I may have blown up the ballroom accidentally because I'm a stubborn goof. I'm trying to fix it." Ant frowned.
"Well unfortunately I have not seen her today. Have you seen Fontaine?" I asked.
"Yeah, she's hunting for purple flag decoration things. In the treasury." Any smiled.
"Thanks bro. Good luck with Maddy!" I called walking away.
I walked down the hallway and into the treasury, where Fontaine appeared to be hunting for the flags.
"Hey babe." I said quietly in her ear, making her jump.
"Ahh! Crap, Finn I didn't see you there." Fontaine giggled.
"Well you do now!" I smirked kissing her.
"Ok ok enough. How was the meeting?" She asked blushing.
"Don't ask. Well do. But not right now." I frowned.
"Why? What happened?" Fontaine asked with wide eyes.
"Well I suppose neither of us was aware that we were a special case when the crowning happened. Usually the Prince or Princess is to be betrothed beforehand." I began, offering her my arm.
She took it and walked out with me. "I'm confused, Finn what are you getting at?"
"The girls have to be betrothed to someone before they turn eight. And even if we get to choose, once the choice is made it can't be gone back on." I blurted.
"What?! No way, that's not true! They aren't just marrying off our daughters!" Fontaine yelled.
"Calm down Angel. We still get to decide. But we can't break the tradition. And they want an answer, even if it doesn't happen until they are eight, next Monday. Besides, it's bound in the magic that gives us our powers. We can't change it." I replied.
"This is insane. How do you decide something that big in a week?" Fontaine hissed.
"I don't know. More importantly, how do we tell 7 year Olds that they are going to be already engaged?" I queried.
"Ha. That's gonna be easy. My bet is they'll be fine with it. Not really important. C'mon, Ant messed up the party area. Help me fix it." Fontaine smiled.

Fontaine's pov:
--------------------
To say that I am pissed? That would be the fucking understatement of the century. How dare they just tell us, their rulers, that they will just marry off our daughters before they are old enough to understand!
After we finally fixed the mess Ant had created Finn went off to get his final gift for the twins. Mom came to see me later as I was pacing back as forth in my bedroom with Jess listening to my angry rant.
"Hey Fontaine? Sweetheart can I come in?" Mom called.
"Yea Mom come in." I replied.
She came in and frowned at the sight of our room. I had dresses everywhere, Jess looked kinda scared, and I had just finished re-dying my hair with its strand of pink, so my hair was wet and messy.
"Well um, your hair looks nice. You always loved that pink part didn't you?" Mom said with a smile.
"Yea, it was fading too much." I grinned.
"Okay. So why are you upset?" Mom asked. I saw Jess look even more scared an start waving her hands and making cutthroat signs.
"Do not even get me started. And before you ask, no it is not Finn's fault." I yelled.
"Okaaaay. Is it safe to ask why you are so angry?" Mom added.
"Ugh. The fucking nobles have just decided to tell us that the girls have to be betrothed to someone before their eighth birthday. Finn is pissed too, and we can't do anything about it. It's been bound in the magic that gives us our powers, plus it's been a tradition since way back when. We can't do anything." I replied.
"Ha! Maybe my bet with Will might actually be won sooner then I thought!" Mom cackled.
"Mom!"
"Sorry Fontaine honey. Do you know who you are gonna choose?" Mom asked, recovering quickly.
"No. I don't even have a clue. Finn didn't offer anything, and you don't just ask your 6 year Olds what they think about who they want to marry. Not a good conversation?" I rolled my eyes.
"Well I can see you are a little worked up about this. Um, Jess, any suggestions?" Mom said, glancing at Jess.
"Well I suggested that you just wait till the very last minute. Get to know your options and stuff. But she didn't like that idea." Jess shuddered.
"Sorry guys. I'm probably taking out my anger at the nobles on you. It is a pretty big deal though. I don't know what to do!" I frowned.
"Well, after the party, talk to Finn about it. Maybe there is someone like one of the Noble's sons. Or maybe even their friends?" Mom smirked.
"Why are you smirking? Dear god I'm already scared." I gulped.
"Oh, don't be ridiculous Fontaine. I made a simple bet with your father, about the girls and Ryuku and Eldoris. I figured that they had a chance of being an item when they were old enough, and your father insisted Finn would kill them before they had the chance. So we made a little wager." Mom giggled.
"Oh my god. Mom, you are a genius! You literally just solved my problem!" I laughed, dancing around the room.
Mom seemed happy and Jess seemed relieved. I know I was. This couldn't be more perfect!
After finally getting rid of Mom, me and Jess spent some much needed relaxing girl time. It was ready fun and we even did our nails! Even though I didn't day anything I kept feeling super sharp bursts of pain going through my side. It was getting to the point where I couldn't stand it when all of a sudden it stopped.
Shaking the worry away, I grinned at Jess.
"Okay important question. Do you have a outfit for the party?" I asked.
"Yes! Maddy sent the tailors over this morning. I'm all ready to go." Jess grinned.
"Good! Then let's go get you a new necklace to wear with the dress. I still owe you one." I offered.
"Hell yes! I won't say no. Let's bounce." Jess whooped.
"Soooooooo...... Got any news about your love life?" I asked.
"What makes you think I would?" Jess said.
"Sorry, guess I just want my baby to grow up a bit. C'mon, let's grab that necklace." I smiled.
"Eh, It's ok. Actually I do, but it is kinda complicated. You see, this guy I met at the coffee shop the other day and he's really sweet. But when I was walking home with him, after he kissed me goodbye, he disappeared down a side ally. I swear he's in the Mafia or some shit." Jess cursed.
"Woah, damn gurl. You got it going on. Look, maybe just broach the subject with him and see what he does. Heck, just follow him after he leaves you one day. And figure out. Maybe it'll end up where he's not, but he's just super poor and is hiding that from you?" I offered.
"I guess maybe." Jess shrugged.
"C'mon, we are here. Let's get you that necklace." I grinned.
"Yassssss, finally getting paid! Here I come!" Jess giggled, rubbing in.
Half an hour later we had finally found the necklace Jess wanted. It was gold, and enchanted, and it had emerald green gems encrusted into it. She immediately put it on and then we had to part ways. I gave her a hug and then left to find Finn.
When I found him he seemed to be trying to set up a meet and greet of some kind.
"Hey baby what are you doing?" I asked.
"Ah. Hey Fontaine. Actually, I was thinking that after the girls party, we have all the boys from age 8-11 come to the palace and we can decide who is best for the girls." Finn smiled.
"Hmmmmm, that is a good idea. I also had one, what about Eldoris and Ryuku?"
"What? Their best Friends? Are you sure?" Finn asked surprised
"Yes. Think about it. Even if they grew apart slightly as they got older, the twins have had Eldoris and Ryuku as their friends since day one. Almost. If they married them, it wouldn't be a complete stranger." I smirked.
"I like it. Good idea. Let's deal with it after the party." Finn smiled.
"Are they home yet?" I asked.
"No they are coming back in 30 minutes. Go get ready my love." Finn smiled again.
I nodded and kissed his cheek, then wandered back off to my room. I got changed into my new dress. It was a deep green, embroidered with gold thread and pearls. The bodice came down a little. I had been growing my hair out a bit, it was not probably just past my shoulders, but the pink part stayed. I decided to braid it into a French Princess bun, and then, I slipped on my shoes and headed back downstairs. The sharp pain from earlier came back, and this time, while it was a little better, I still found myself unable to walk for a moment.
When it finally passed, I continued on to the ballroom, where Finn was standing there. I heard him think, obviously for my benefit that the girls would be back in 5 minutes. I nodded and came to stand beside him, holding his hand as the announcers ushered everyone in from the kingdom.
Eldoris, Ryuku and Merlea, Tasi, Lana and Pearl and Ula all came in to help us. They stood at the very front of the group of us, and as soon as the twins came in, we all yelled "SUPRISE!"
"What? Yay! A birthday party!" Bella squealed.
"Haha thank you Mommy and Daddy! This is a really cool suprise!" Evie grinned hugging us.
"You're welcome my dear. Go on, open your presents." I smiled. Evie grabbed my hand and dragged me over to help while Bella did the same to Finn. We sat on our thrones as the guard bought gift after gift to the girls.
Eldoris and Ryuku's gift were second last, and Eldoris had given Evie a really pretty jewel incrusted sword.
"So you can learn to be a warrior!" He grinned with a bow.
"Thank you! I love it!" Evie smiled back, putting the sword in its sheath.
Ryuku gave Bella a rally sweet version of a Lemurian jumper. It was blue but made with seaweed materials. It had been sewn with gold thread and Bella immediately put it on.
"Thank you Ryuku! It's perfect!" Bella smiled widely.
Ryuku, who appeared suddenly shy, smiled and bowed before walking off the throne area.
"Thank you everyone for all your presents and help planning this." Evie announced. Boy she will make a good queen.
"Now please enjoy yourselves while we finish up one last thing." Bella added.
The people all began eating and dancing, and we gave the girls their final gifts. I had left Lemuria, yep gone into the real world, and bought them some new phones. I figured they would like showing them off to their friends. Plus I had Nereus enchant the phones. They looked good but if the girls ever got angry and vanished we could find then automatically.
Finn gave them brand new dolls. He had special gold and silver dresses made and the girls absolutely loved them. Good work Finn!
"Okay girls. Go play with your friends ok? We'll talk later." Finn smiled at them.
They grinned and flew off, back to where their friends were all waiting for them.
"Do you think they liked it?" I asked, hugging Finn.
He wrapped his arms around me and smiled. "I think they loved it. Would you do me the honour of a dance?" He asked as the music changed.
I smiled as I noticed Ant and Maddy, Mom and Dad and Bella and Evie all dancing.
"I'd love to." I replied.
