Finntaine: Bad girl
Hey everyone! I am so sorry for not updating the anteline dares chapter. Ya see, I was about to update it before Christmas. Long story short I went offline and edited. When I came back there was no cloud save for my chapter. I don't wanna leave you guys hanging and I had this one ready. So enjoy for now!
~~~~~~~~~~
Explanation: Alternative universe where Finn Is good and Fontaine is bad (Jess is present and is bad too) and the Hanson family (Finn Maddy and Hammerhead or James) have to stop the Nekton family from stealing valuable artefacts. (Finntaine are 17.5 And 17) will be swearing.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Fontaine. Fontaine. Fontaine!" A loud yelling pulled Fontaine Nekton out of her music daze. She glared angrily at the owner of the voice, her Dad.
"What now? If you're going to remind me for the fifth time today how to complete the simplest mission ever I'm going to King hit you." Fontaine hissed.
Will rolled his eyes. "Drop point in 30. Ant is getting his gadget. No matter what, do not fail this one. I don't think we'll get another opportunity, especially with Jess and her Dad on ice at the moment."
Fontaine nodded, all childish disrespect gone. She wasn't just some mouthy teenager. She was a Nekton, and the Nekton family had been around for years, since her great grandparents were little. They were famous in what would seem the worst way possible, for crimes. Most people hate the idea. Not the Nekton's, and especially not Fontaine. Fontaine loved the thrill of the chase. Her parents were both experts in this field, and the ocean made it virtually impossible for them to be caught. So it was only natural that their attitudes and skills would rub off on their eldest child.
And it wasn't just that she enjoyed it. No, unlike her parents who took tears to even get close to being good enough, Fontaine seemed to have been born with the thieves blood. She was incredible! Fontaine had never failed a mission, and unlike her brother who was distracted by some ridiculous crush on a stupid girl, Fontaine never got distracted and never made a mistake. Which was why she didn't need any reminders from her father.
But his reminder was not unwarranted. There was only one thing that could make Fontaine fail. And it wasn't a thing, it was the Nekton's mortal enemy, the Hanson's. Or more specifically, Finn Hanson.
Finn Hanson was everything Fontaine hated. Good for starters. But he was also conceited and cocky. He always assumed he would win against her. And his father was the main officer in charge of taking down the Nekton's, making Finn her biggest problem. If that wasn't hard enough, he was also hot. He was blessed with really good looks. He had crystal blue eyes, cute floppy brown hair, and muscles in all the right places. His voice had finished developing and it could give you chills. And when he was angry he looked friggin cute. Not to mention his million dollar smile. And every single time she saw him, he flirted incessantly. It aggravated her but also made her feel funny, making her hate him even more.
Fontaine knew she had to stay away from Finn. Her safety an that of her family depended on it. But even still, she couldn't help but feel a strong pull towards him whenever they were together. For me and you, we would likely accept that as a crush. Fontaine who we all know is incredibly stubborn refused to admit that, simply putting it down to hormones.
"Let's just hope he isn't there tonight." Fontaine though as she suited up for the night. She smirked to herself as she brushed her short hair. Finn or no Finn, she was going to rock that mission.
----------------
"Dad! We got word that maybe the Nekton's will be targeting the Shanghai art museum tonight! The drop point as been discovered!" Finn yelled to his father.
James growled. "Bet it'll be that stupid girl and her dumb brother again. That's gotta be child abuse! Why don't their parents ever do it?"
"Maybe they force their kids to!" Maddy piped up hopefully. Finn shot a glare at his little sister. She was only saying that because she liked Ant Nekton. Not that he had much freeness.
Finn was a pretty smart boy. His family didn't have many rules, but one of the main ones they did have was no liking a Nekton. Spoken rule? No. But he knew his father would be angry, and he couldn't blame him. That didn't mean he couldn't think Fontaine was cute right? When she got angry at him for messing something up he always found it hot how riled up she became. He'd never really beaten her, but maybe this time would be different! He'd been practicing really hard, and he'd followed the Nekton family movements for patterns in their behaviour. The odd thing was, he noticed they only went for valuable things relating to the ocean. Strangely enough, Finn found himself wondering if their was a connection. His Dad wrote it off as their personal signature, "every thief has one son" as James liked to say. But Finn felt differently.
"Finn! Stop dreaming son. We need to move. I'm putting you in charge of this mission with Maddy. Me and the others will be checking on the other family, Jess and her father. Try not to fail." James smirked, patting his son on the back.
As he left, Maddy looked guiltily at her older brother. "Next time, don't make it so obvious. And be more quiet when you sneak out, he's deaf but seriously? You're so loud!" Finn scolded.
"C'mon, it wasn't that bad! Besides, don't try and deny the look of realisation on your face when Dad mentioned Jess." Maddy blushed furiously back.
Finn rolled his eyes, evading the question. So maybe he'd gone stalker mode and did some research, purely for the sake of the mission of course, on Fontaine. Jess Mathews was her best friend and just as difficult to pin down as Fontaine was. When they were together, they often made it even harder to pin down patterns. For the most part, Finn found ways to distract his Dad from the Nekton's as much a possible. He held out hope that maybe the kids didn't want to be bad guys, but the more the thought about it the less that seemed likely.
"But that's what so hot about her!" Finn thought silently. Yeah, she was technically his enemy. And yes, she was a villain and loved it. But she was really cute. And he made it his personal mission to flirt with her everytime he saw her. She'd always blush and come back with some snarky reply, but it was worth it anyway.
Tonight was going to be fun.
At 7.00pm on the dot, Fontaine and Finn both headed out with their siblings to the exact same spot, the Shanghai art museum. Fontaine came in the "I'm a thief" way, in through a window, and Finn with his building pass as an international World ocean authorities branch sauntered in straight through the door.
"Fontaine I think someone else might be here." Ant whispered, sensing something amiss.
"Okay, can you go check it out? Take your com and be safe." Fontaine whispered back. She may have been a bad girl but she loved her brother and family very much, even if she hid it most of the time.
"Okey dokey." Ant whispered, quickly hugging her and running off.
A sudden thud shook Fontaine away from watching her little brother walk off. She curled herself into a corner of the roof she was sitting on, and glanced down to find Finn all by himself and using a flashlight.
"Pussy." Fontaine giggled internally.
She watched as Finn picked up his com and called someone. "Hey Mads, perimeter check?"
Fontaine didn't hear the reply, but Ant was out there! But he was near Maddy......The girl he liked......Yeah he's probably ok.
"Come on out Fontaine, I know you're here. No point in hiding that beautiful face." Finn called out.
Fontaine felt her face go bright red, almost to the point where she could see it in the dark. The moonlight reflected on the roof beam she was on and she prayed Finn couldn't see her. Taking him down? Easy. Wanting to take him down? Not so easy.
So she use the beams to swing her way into the room required, finally locating the ocean made crystal the size of her head sitting on the shelf. It was protected by a laser beam forcefield and several alarms, including a weight alarm for the prize gem.
She launched herself down and landed in front of the forcefield, getting ready to do what her parents had trained her for since she was two.
"Really wouldn't do that if I were you Angel." Finn's voice echoed in the quiet room.
Fontaine smirked, not even bothering to turn around as she stretched. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure you aren't a 17 year old super thief and I'd suggest shutting your overblown ass before it bites you."
"Awwwww now Angel that's not very nice. Seriously though, stop." Finn ordered.
"Don't call me that or I'll chop your dick off. And do you mean this?" Fontaine asked, launching herself through the forcefield and a series of backflips until she was half way through.
"It'd be pretty hard." Finn smirked smugly. Fontaine paused, going red and glared at him.
"Fuck off you chauvinistic jerk. Unlike some of us I actually need this thing. Now go lay down before you hurt yourself." Fontaine gritted out.
"Why do you need it?" Finn asked, leaping into the forcefield after her.
"Can't you take a fucking hint?" Fontaine yelled as she pulled her weight out of the backpack she was wearing.
"Nope. Hey where's your brother?" Finn asked, struggling a little with the lasers.
"I assume you know." Fontaine said distastefuly.
"Oh right. He's with my sister. You know what's weird? You seem to love it. Stealing and being bad. He doesn't." Finn asked.
"You think I don't like being bad pretty boy?" Fontaine smirked, leaning close to him as she held tightly to the crystal. Fontaine didn't know what made her do that, but she leaned in even more and then their lips collided, making Finn melt in the kiss. Fontaine then pulled away, smirking at him, pleased that she had made him distracted.
"T-that's not what I said." Finn fumbled. He tried to regain his composure and leaned in again making Fontaine pull away rapidly and glare at him.
She then swung her fist, hitting him square in the jaw. "You don't know shit about me or my family, so don't fucking ask."
Finn stumbled back in shock, and failed to do anything as Fontaine called her brother and escaped through the same window they came.
Maddy caught up to her brother with a giant red mark siting on her neck and looked up at the roof.
"So you got your ass handed to you?" Maddy asked.
"Oh shut up. You've got a hickey." Finn glared, rubbing his sore wrist. But he couldn't shake the feeling there was something else behind her story. An he couldn't shake the memory of their kiss from his mind. Maybe he really did like her more than he realised.
---------------
Back onboard the arronax, Fontaine was being showered with praise from her parents.
"Look at my big girl. That's your 53th successful mission." Her Mom smiled.
"Well I'm glad you showed that goody two shoes who's boss. The Nekton's don't loose." Will spat, walking away. Fontaine sighed, glancing at her brother who seemed dazed and rolled her eyes.
Everything she'd ever done was for Ant. And that wasn't an exaggeration. When he was born, she has already completed 2 missions. Ant was an accident, and they didn't really want him. The Nekton family goal had always been to find the underwater ruins of an ancient city and become world famous. But when her grandparents died looking for this city, her parents got bitter. The rumour that as thieves the Nekton's went back generations was a lie, and it had directly affected Fontaine when her brother was born. Will wanted revenge on anyone responsible for his parents death. And they resorted to stealing and so forth to fund their continued hunt for how they died. But that was when Fontaine was 2. Now her Dad didn't even care about finding the truth. He just wanted to be rich and so did her Mom. Which put Ant in danger.
Since he was a kid, Ant had always been scrawny and small. He was never capable of completing any missions. He didn't even like being a bad guy. Fontaine knew if their parents ever found out Ant would be literally dead. So she made it her personal responsibility to protect her little brother no matter what. And that still counted now. Because unless she managed to hit her father's criminal empire and followers from the shadows whilst still protecting Ant, she'd never ever leave. Family rules.
That wasn't to say she didn't like being herself. No, Fontaine enjoyed the thrill of the chase, the electrifying rush she got every time she went on her missions. She liked scaring people and she liked hiding behind the mask of being a villain. So much easier than having to be nice to people. But when anyone, even the guy she sorta liked but never actually admited that mentioned her family so casually and questioned her, Fontaine would snap.
"And why the hell did you kiss your enemy?" Her subconscious demanded. Fontaine didn't really know why. The urge to kiss him had been so strong, and she really needed to distract him.
"But this is going to make it so much harder to avoid him." She thought.
As she pondered the kiss through dinner, Fontaine realised something that she didn't really want to, which put her an Ant in more danger, causing her to panic.
"Great. Now I have feelings for him. And if Mom or Dad find out we're both toast."
"Fontaine, could you please not fall asleep at the dining table? Hurry up and finish." Her Dad ordered.
Fontaine nodded, pushing the thoughts aside and focusing on her food. Even worse than her parents directly asking what was wrong was when they got suspicious. She'd need to lie low if she wanted to survive.
"Thanks for covering for me big sis." Ant whispered after the family was asleep that night.
Fontaine smiled and spun in her chair. They were in the main bridge and Ant was eating cookies.
"That's cool lil bro. But seriously, you need to be more careful. We can't just leave, and Mom an Dad would kill you if they knew you liked her." Fontaine replied.
"But I don't want to be a thief. I wanna be with Maddy and I wanna be a good guy." Ant sighed, running a hand through his curly hair.
"Look Ant I love you but I can't just destroy dad's whole empire so you can be with Maddy. It's virtually impossible." Fontaine frowned.
"Well if you threw in Finn you might do it." Ant smirked.
"Wait what? Finn? Seriously are you fucking joking? Please tell me you didn't get into one of the joints Dad left for Dolos to sell." Fontaine groaned, desperately trying not to blush.
"Nope. I know you like him." Ant answered.
"No I don't! At best he amuses me." Fontaine protested. "Liar."
"Okay, if you say so. Mom told you we have the day off tomorrow? We can go to that amusement park, my treat." Ant offered.
"Sounds good Ant. As long as we don't have any tails." Fontaine smiled.
"Dad said we're old enough not to have them." Ant smiled back.
"Not to have them? We could do so much damage without body guards." Fontaine thought.
"You could finally talk to Finn." Her subconscious added. Fontaine's shut the thought down and bid her brother goodnight.
"It wouldn't be bad to see him though." She mumbled to herself.
Her parents had saved Jess and her father from the authorities that evening. So, deciding she needed to clear her head, Fontaine grabbed her airpods, put them in, and face timed her best friend whilst doing summer-saults around the room.
"Hey girl! Sup?" Jess smirked, sporting a huge diamond necklace.
"Hey Jess. You good? If not I'll kick some coppa's asses. Ain't nobody messin' with my bestie." Fontaine grinned cracking her knuckles.
"Geez feisty pants I'm fine. But you didn't call just for that did you? What's wrong? I'm your bestie, can't hide it for long Fontaine." Jess said in a stern voice.
Fontaine sighed and continued to stretch. "Well, I am kinda freaking out a little. I got carried away and didn't want to fight Finn so I kissed him to distract him."
"What? Fontaine how many times do I need to tell you do not let your emotions get involved when you're working? But how was the kiss?" Jess asked.
"Seriously." Fontaine scoffed.
"Yeah I'm serious! Girl I been detained for the last 72 hours. I wanna know." Jess ordered.
"Honestly it was really sweet. But now I'm panicking. For starters he's my enemy. For another thing, he was being nice and I couldn't fight him, even though we aren't supposed to be nice to anyone. And for another, not wanting to be a super criminal thief could get me killed." Fontaine replied.
Jess frowned through the screen, understanding her BFFs thoughts. After all this wasn't the first time she'd mentioned it. But it put both of them in serious danger. Jess didn't entirely understand Fontaine's want to be normal, but she supported it. However, right now they had big problems.
"Fontaine promise me you won't do anything stupid. Your Dad is way too strong, you have no choice." The concern in her besties voice reminded Fontaine if just how dangerous these feelings were.
"I know. I won't do anything dumb." Fontaine promised.
"Just stay away from him. On a totally different note, what do you think of my necklace? I stole it when me and Dad were escaping. He didn't even notice." Jess laughed.
"Hahaha I love it Jess. It's a cute colour! Hey, Dad said me and you have our next heist together. We going to Paris." Fontaine grinned.
"Okay I cannot wait! But I have to go. Dad needs help with the cargo. Not everyone has giant metal claws in a submarine." Jess pouted.
"Okey then. Love you Jess." Fontaine smiled.
"Love you too! Bye!" Jess replied hanging up.
Fontaine thought about what Jess said. Most best friends would say if you even remotely liked someone to chase it. Not Jess, and that was why Fontaine loved her. Because she was right, any slight change in the way she dealt with him could cost her and her brother.
---------------
"Well son as I expected you lost. But you came mighty close this time. Is Maddy feelin' better?" James asked patting his son's shoulder.
"Not quite. But almost. And also thanks? I think." Finn replied.
James chuckled and said goodnight. Then Maddy went to bed and Finn plodded off to his room on board the biggest submarine in the ocean. He flopped down onto his bed and thought about the night's events.
Why did she snap when he asked about her family? It didn't make sense, especially for someone who seemed to love what she did. Finn could feel a blush creeping up his face as he thought of the kiss.
He knew she was probably only trying to distract him but it worked, and he liked it.
"Hey Finn? Ant wants to meet up at that amusement park downtown, you wanna come too?" Maddy whispered to him once their dad was in bed.
"Sure. I'll break his nose if he does anything to you." Finn smirked cracking his knuckles.
"He won't." Maddy scoffed. "Besides, I know he doesn't want to be a thief. Did you know his Dad has a gang? Ant would be dead if he left. Literally."
Wait what? A gang? Did that mean that maybe Fontaine was only acting the part to protect herself and her brother?
"Oh. Ok. Cool. Well I'm going to bed. Love ya Mads." Finn smiled giving her a quick hug.
He then flopped into his bed and pondered how he could help Ant and Fontaine.
---------------
The next morning, Ant dragged Fontaine out of bed extra early. They got dressed, kissed their parents goodbye, (removed microchips their dad though they didn't notice) and then took a train down to the amusement park.
Fontaine felt slightly nervous. She couldn't pin point why but for some reason she felt like Ant was up to something. Hopefully he wouldn't do anything stupid.
When they finally arrived, Ant quickly took of to go buy tickets. Fontaine started messaging Jess on her phone, when she collided with someone.
"Can't you watch where you're fucking well going?!" She yelled, looking up angrily.
Well shit. Guess who? Oh yeah, Finn and Maddy were the people who she crashed into.
"Chill out angel. You might hurt yourself." Finn drawled.
"Great, just great. I assume Ant planned this with you right Maddy?" Fontaine asked, somewhat amused.
"Yep." Maddy nodded.
"See you." Fontaine replied, barely giving Finn a second glance. Jess was right, but damn he looked good today. She went to walk off, but her brother had left with Maddy, so Finn ran up to her an draped his arm over her shoulder.
"What's the rush angel? You know I usually like to get to know a pretty girl like you before I kiss her, but I guess you took that opportunity away from me." Finn smirked.
"Well the only reason I did it was to distract you. Which worked by the way. I've got a very good looking diamond sitting in my room." Fontaine smirked, hoping to get rid of him.
"Hmmmm. Maybe you did beat me. But you didn't answer my question from last night Fontaine. Care to enlighten me as to why?" Finn asked.
Fontaine didn't like the way he said her name. An she didn't like that he was still prying. "The same reason why I'm not going to answer you now. For your sake leave it alone Finn." Fontaine spat.
Finn frowned. Obviously this ran deeper than he realised.
"Fine. Come on. I have to put up with Maddy and your stupid brother endlessly flirting. So now you gotta put up with me." Finn grinned grabbing her hand and dragging her off to a ride.
"I'm gonna grab some popcorn. Please stay right there." Finn ordered.
Fontaine nodded, not game enough to speak. She secretly admired his hair as he walked off, then quickly called her bestie hoping for her help.
"Fontaine in kinda in the middle of a heist here." Jess groaned.
"Geez sorry. What're you?" She asked.
"Oh, gotta get some valuable vase your dad wants and my dad said he'd get. An it is fragile so this better be important." Jess hissed, grunting as she almost fell.
"Look, Finn and Maddy were at the amusement park Ant dragged me to and now I'm stuck with him and I need help because if my dad knew I'd be dead and I don't know if someone could be following us and I'm freaking out Jess I need you to help me!" Fontaine ranted.
"Calm down. Deep breaths before your anxiety hits you. Is Finn going to turn you in? No or he already would have. And if your Dad finds out, lie your way out of it. You got rid of the trackers anyways right? You're fine. Go have fun with Mr hotty." Jess giggled.
"Not helping." Fontaine groaned.
"Ok ok. I gtg. Love you bestie, good luck." Jess called out as she hung up.
Fontaine huffed and stuck the phone in her pocket. Finn had come back and was standing behind her, frowning as he heard her conversation.
"Why will your dad kill you if he knew you were here with me?" Finn asked, concerned. "He should be more inclined to kill me."
"What the fuck, Finn why were you listening in on my conversation!? In case you don't remember, we were enemies. If he found out he'd be pissed." Fontaine shivered.
"Okay." Finn nodded. He pulled his jacket off and placed it over Fontaine's shoulder, causing her to look up at him in shock.
"Why did you?"
"It's cold out Fontaine. And you're not wearing a jacket." Finn replied, tucking his hands into the hoodie he was wearing.
"T-thanks." Fontaine stuttered, at a loss for words.
"C'mon, they have a haunted house we can go see if you want." Finn offered.
Fontaine blushed and nodded, so Finn slipped his hand into hers, once again getting a shocked look from Fontaine, and dragged her off to the ride.
They walked inside and got in line, waiting for their turn to walk through the haunted house. Fontaine was nervous, constantly checking if her Dad had someone following her.
"Hey Fontaine. It's our go." Finn whispered in her ear.
"O-oh. Right." She replied, gripping his hand as they walked in.
"Scared? It's just a game." Finn smiled as they walked past a skeleton.
"No I'm not scared, do you know how many heists I've done? This is childsplay." Fontaine smirked.
"Right. That's true I guess. Fontaine, why do you do them all? I've never seen your parents do it. And even when you kissed me you seemed miserable, which is silly cause I'm a catch." Finn grinned cockily.
"Hardy Har. It's kinda complicated." Fontaine shrugged. Finn gently turned her head to look at him. "Well it's pretty easy to get lost in here." Finn smiled.
"You're insufferable." Fontaine rolled her eyes.
"Yep. That's a big word for a thief. Come on. We have time. I'm a pretty good listener." Finn encouraged.
"I've been doing this since I could walk Finn. I learned to love it because Ant hates it. His exact words were he wanted to be a good guy with Maddy. But he was an accident, my parents didn't want him. So I taught him everything I knew, I covered for him and offered to do the missions so they never questioned him. So now, they automatically assume. It could cost us so much more than you realise if we ever went against my father." Fontaine replied with a wry smile.
"So you like it but only because you forced yourself to so Ant would be safe. I'm missing something. Even your Dad can't stop you from abandoning a life of crime." Finn frowned, pausing for a minute.
Fontaine jumped as a creepy zombie head dropped Infront of them and looked at him. "He's the leader of a super strong gang Finn. He's got eyes and ears everywhere. If we tried anything, he'd know. Hence why I was so worried about being here with you."
Finn looked down in shock and noticed she was crying a little. "I thought bad girls didn't cry."
"Not often. Tell anyone and I'll kill you." Fontaine smiled wiping her eyes.
Finn pulled her into a hug and she looked at him in suprise.
"You're not allowed to kiss me." Fontaine whispered as he leaned in closer.
"Funny, you didn't get my permission." Finn whispered back, before kissing her softly.
A gentle grunt escaped Fontaine's lips as he kissed her, and their kiss slowly moved from a soft one to a desperate one, neither of them willing to back down for the other, both of them fighting for dominance as Finn slammed her against a hidden wall in the haunted house.
Gasping for air, Finn eventually pulled away, his eyes dilated from the strong emotions rushing through his body. Fontaine smiled up at him, brushing his hair that was sticking to his forehead to the side.
"Fontaine I'm sorry." Finn apologized, realising he'd ignored her completely.
"It's fine Finn. I enjoyed it." Fontaine blushed.
"Angel would you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" Finn asked.
"I guess if it would make you feel better about yourself." Fontaine smirked.
Finn frowned and tickled her sides, grinning as she squealed and wriggled around.
"Okay okay! Yes Finn. I'll be your girlfriend." Fontaine smiled, quickly kissing him again.
"Thank you. I love you. Come on, let's go find my sister." Finn smiled, holding her hand once again.
The pair walked out of the haunted house, rounding a more private corner of the park only to be stopped by who Fontaine recognised as 10 of her dad's men waiting for them.
"Miss, what the hell are you doing with him? The enemy! Your father is going to kill either us you or him." One of them demanded.
"Harry, I appreciate the concern. But I was just gathering Intel from him." Fontaine smirked.
Finn's head shot up in anger and disbelief as he looked at her for any signs of a bluff, and caught her crossing her fingers behind her back. He smiled to himself and stood up straight, pretending to be angry as Fontaine spoke.
"Fine. That makes sense. He can leave but your father wants you home right away. So let's go." Harry ordered.
As they walked off, Harry gripped Fontaine's shoulder. "Be careful. I may be your cousin, but if uncle Will finds out we're all going to be dead."
"You don't think I know that? If it weren't for Jess you'd be throwing me under the bus I'm sure." Fontaine scoffed throwing his hand off.
"True. She's your best friend and she's my girlfriend. Not a great combo. But seriously, be careful." Harry nodded.
"I will. It's not like I'm running off with him or some weird shit like that. Drop it, I gotta lie to Dad after. I need energy." Fontaine said.
As she got home, her Dad bombarded her with demands and questions. It got hard to deny them all but he believed her and finally let the matter drop, before informing her they were going to their safe house in Chicago to evade the authorities.
"Jess and her Dad will be there waiting for us. They have to go to Paris with us next week." Will stated.
"Ok Dad. I'm gonna go see Ant." Fontaine said walking out of the room.
She headed into her brother's room and found him sprawled out asleep, and half falling of his bed. Fontaine giggled to herself and lifted him up, placing a blanket over him an then walking out into her own room. Finn didn't have the ability to contact her and now she was going to be in Chicago?
"I'm never going to see him again." Fontaine thought sadly as she packed what she needed.
-----------------
5 days later Fontaine had been very mopey and miserable, even though her best friend was with her. Her Dad assumed she was upset she had no missions, so he sent Jess to cheer her up whilst they counted down the days until their mission.
But nothing Jess was doing was helping. Finally getting sick of it, Jess asked Ant to invite Finn over so Fontaine could see him.
"Ooooh, going against literally everything my Dad would want? I'd love to. Give me ten." Ant ordered.
2 hours later, Finn and Maddy both arrived in Chicago. They took the subway down to a designated spot Jess set up, where she was waiting for them.
"Hi, I'm Jess." Jess smiled. Maddy smiled back and so did Finn, although Finn was a little more cautious then his sister.
"Nice to meet you. Why did you call Us again?" Finn asked, shaking her hand.
"Because Fontaine is panicking that their Dad hid them all too well and you were never gonna see them again. Next time, get a girls number." Jess scoffed.
"Oops." Finn laughed. "Okay then, lead the way."
So they took off and headed to Fontaine's mansion/safehouse, choosing to wait until her Dad had gone out on his mission, and Jess promising to be on guard for them.
"Jess, thank you for helping us." Maddy smiled.
"Why are you helping us?" Finn asked.
"I've known this family since I was 2. And I've seen Fontaine change and adapt to keep Ant safe. She's my best friend and I'd do anything for her. Also, here." Jess replied, passing Finn a piece of paper.
"What's this?" Finn asked.
"A list of his safe houses, maximum number of men, and next heist points. Take the information and you can get rid of Will once and for all, especially since he keeps all his men in one of these places. All I ask is when you take him down, keep us and my Dad who works for Will safe." Jess said squarely.
"Deal. I cannot thank you more. It was really nice to meet you Jess." Finn smiled.
So Finn and Maddy walked into the building, Maddy off to Ant and Finn over to Fontaine.
Meanwhile in her room, Fontaine was playing her guitar and feeling very grumpy. She heard someone knock at the door, and got up to go give whoever it was a piece of her mind.
"Hey there Angel." Finn smirked as she swung the door open.
"Finn!" Fontaine basically yelled, jumping on him and hugging him tightly.
"What, you think I was just gonna let you disappear? You're my girlfriend. There was no way." Finn grinned, placing her on the King sized bed in the room.
"I-I didn't think I'd see you for a while. I assumed Dad had gone deep cover."
"Fontaine, I was wondering if you and Ant would come live with me and Maddy for a while." Finn began.
Fontaine looked up in confusion. "We couldn't just leave Finn."
"Once we take your Dad down." Finn clarified.
Fontaine nodded. "I'll think about it."
They sat peacefully, and blissfully unaware of what was going to happen in the near future.
Because 3 weeks later, when Fontaine's father was finally taken down and sent to jail, he'd also taken away the only other family Finn had, his dad.
Maddy and Finn ran away, abandoning Fontaine and Ant, in effect blaming them for the fact their Dad died.
"I know you didn't do it Fontaine. But you never tried to stop your father, and no I don't have mine." Finn said darkly.
"Finn please, I love you. I didn't know he would do this." Fontaine begged.
"I just need some time." Finn replied, walking out of the house. Fontaine collapsed and started crying, and Jess rushed to comfort her along with Harry and Ant who was also sad.
"You don't need him babe. It's gonna be ok." Jess smiled at her friend.
