Anteline: Dares

Hey wassup? So because I said I would I have officially written an Anteline dares chapter! I'm hoping this meets your expectations!

~~~~~~~~
Explanation:  Anteline version of the original Finntaine A/U. Ant is in school with Fontaine, Finn, Jess and Maddy. Literally everyone around them assumes they are a couple or ships them but they won't admit it. So a few drinks and truth or dare must be used to bring the stubborn duo to their senses. Warnings? Well it may get a little steamy. 😏
~~~~~~~~

"Hey Fontaine! Ready to hit chemistry?" Maddy smiled at her friend as Fontaine sipped her coffee.

Fontaine winced at Maddy's energy but nodded all the same. "Yeah I'm ready. Dude how are you so happy? I'm so freaking dead right now." Fontaine whined.

"Oh, Ant bought me a coffee earlier. 3 shots." Maddy smiled, a crazy glint in her eye.

Fontaine rolled her eyes as Jess and Alpheus walked up too. "Of course he did, he worships the ground you walk on."

"Let me guess, Ant?" Jess asked, snatching Fontaine's coffee and sipping it.

"Yeah, Ant got her a three shot coffee." Fontaine grinned.

Maddy frowned stubbornly. "Guys he's my best friend. He does not worship the ground I walk on."

Maddy was no fool. Being a Hanson in this school came with it's perks. She was a cheerleader, (mostly to her Dad's insistence that every rich girl was one) she was incredibly smart, and virtually every guy in school was throwing themself at her much like they did for Fontaine. Except Fontaine was dating Finn, her brother. Meaning mostly guys left her alone. On the other end of the scale, since Maddy and Ant insisted they were 'Just friends' guys took that as free reign to constantly pester her.

For the most part, Maddy ignored them. Usually even if they were hot, she found herself comparing them to Ant. "He's not as strong as Ant." "Ant is smarter." "Ant is definitely cuter."

Even though she'd not admitted it to herself outloud and refused to believe Ant felt the same way, Maddy realised that deep down, she actually did like Ant. It probably couldn't have been helped. Her father saw Ant as the depiction of perfect for his daughter; respectful, rich, a smart good boy who cared for his daughter. And Ant treated her very well, exactly like someone she was dating should've. So when Maddy realised she liked him, a panic set in to her and she did her best to treat him like a brother. But her Dad didn't agree with her behaviour. Much like Kaiko who wanted Finn and Fontaine to end up together, her Dad wanted Ant to date Maddy.

James Hanson, Maddy's father, was part of the group of people that didn't believe Maddy and Ant were just friends. Though it was for entirely different reasons, he assumed that Ant's interest in Maddy was because he liked her but didn't have the courage to say anything.

And he was right. But no one new that for sure except Ant and he'd go to hell before he admitted that and ruined his friendship with a girl who clearly didn't like him back. "You're such a good friend Ant. You're like a brother to me." Those words made the poor boy shudder.

"Hey say what you like Mads. Doesn't mean we believe you." Finn smirked, coming up behind Fontaine and kissing her, much to his sister's disgust.

"Well when you can keep the PDA to a minimum, you can lecture me on whether you think me and Ant are more than friends." Maddy said defensively, slamming her locker shut.

"Woah, ease up there fiesty pants. Are you ok?" Ant asked, startling the very frustrated girl.

Their friends watched as she considered how to respond. If she wasn't careful she'd only fuel the fire. "What to do......?" Maddy wondered.

She quickly glanced at him and gently punched his arm. "I've got withdrawal symptoms because of all the coffee you gave me and these idiots are annoying me about you."

Ant frowned at his sister and Finn. "Leave her alone would you? And I'll get you decaf next time if you want."

"No! That worse than no coffee at all. It's like diet coke for fat people. No offence to them. It just doesn't work." Maddy protested.

Ant chuckled and nodded. "Okay."

One thing Ant had learned in the time he'd known Maddy was sometimes it was best to not argue. His father gave him a wise piece of advice one day, he told him "If a girl is mad at you for something you've done, they are always right. And if they nag you about something, play dumb until they forget what they were mad for."

Ant carried that advice everywhere, even after his parents got divorced. They played the part at family functions, making it look like everything was fine. But it was anything but. Clearly his father's advice wasn't that fantastic, but he treasured it anyway.

One of the problems with being 'Just friends' was Ant could never stop and admire how beautiful Maddy truly was. He'd only seem photos of her mother, but Maddy was a spitting image of her. Long raven black hair that had a perfect sheen all the time, beautiful olive green eyes, a dusting of freckles Ant thought were particularly cute, and a perfect figure. She looked beautiful in anything, and she was the perfect height for him to put his arm around. But if he watched her for too long, his friends or sister would torment him about liking Maddy, or sometimes even that they were secretly dating.

"Ha. I wish." Was a thought that had crossed his mind on many occasions.

"Hey guys, what's going on?" Alpheus, Callum and Rayla all popped up and slipped into the group of people standing in the hallway. No one dared to interrupt them, the most popular and rich kids in the school, even if they needed their lockers.

"Talking about Ant and Maddy." The group chorused in reply.

Alpheus chuckled and nudged Ant. They'd been best friends for years and he took any opportunity to tease him. "Ah I see. In denial still Ant?"

"Actually you overconfident idiot, they said this to Maddy. I said sorry for getting a way too strong coffee for her." Ant smirked.

Alpheus pouted. "Whatever. You're whipped bro."

"God you're all idiots. Class starts in 5 and i have a reputation to uphold. Maddy, take these it helps with the caffeine overload. As for the rest of you." Ant stated flipping them his middle finger and storming off.

Maddy waved goodbye to the boys as her, Fontaine, Jess and Rayla went to their classes. Callum, Finn and Alpheus stood there for a minute concucting a plan.

"Bro he's said he likes her, it's obvious she likes him back, yet somehow they are both avoiding the topic like it's the Spanish influenza." Callum whined.

Alpheus rolled his eyes. "Has anyone ever told you you're a dork? But yes that true. What are we gonna do?"

"I got it! Truth or dare! Every good reveal happens when you're drunk." Callum grinned.

"I take back my earlier statement, you're not a dork. You're a bloody genius! I'll message Jess and Finn you message Fontaine. We are going to have a party." Alpheus smirked.

"Okay cool. Where, when and how." Finn asked viciously typing on his phone.

"Uh, tonight at mine, tell ur parents it's so we can study." Alpheus replied.

"Hey guys I'm sorry but I have to worry about Ezran tonight." Callum sighed.

"Hey bro, it's fine. Just....... Bring him over and we'll get him into bed early. Or maybe ask your aunt Amaya if she can help, just for the night. You like never ask her." Finn smiled nudging his friend. "Besides, we gonna need all hands on deck for this one."

Callum nodded and called his aunt while the other boys organised their plans for the evening.

Over in her classroom, Fontaine and Jess and Rayla kept teasing Jess about Ant all morning.

"Come on, you can't say you don't like him. It's so obvious you do." Rayla said.

Jess frowned and kept writing her note. "Well even if I did I know he doesn't like me like that anyway. It wouldn't make a difference so could you please just drop it."

Jess smiled and put her arm around Maddy. "So you admit if he liked you you'd probably say something?"

"Damn you! No I'm not saying that! I'm saying I know he doesn't like me. He only sees me as a sister. A friend. Developing feelings for him would be stupid, and so I only see him in the same way he sees me." Maddy growled.

"Calm down. We get it. Hey Finn said the boys want us to come over to Alpheus' place tonight to hang out. He said at 6pm." Fontaine interrupted her rant.

"Sounds great, I'm in." Rayla said.

"Same. And if you lot mention any of this again I'll smack you." Maddy said.

"Fine. But can I just say, if you're saying you know he doesn't like you like that, and so you can't like him like that either, you're clearly saying you've thought about it before, meaning even if you deny it, at some point you liked Ant." Jess smirked.

Maddy had trouble keeping up with Jess's logic, but it infuriated her all the same. How dare they just assume they knew how she felt? It was hard enough trying to figure out what she felt let along explain that to her friends. Everyone around her thought they were a couple. She didn't want the pressure of that! She wanted a chance to if Ant wanted to, get to know him as a guy who would want to date her without everyone putting their 2 cents worth in.

"You know what, I'm just going to ignore you now." Maddy glared at them. They finished the last class for the day and headed their seperate ways home, Finn driving them back to their house.

"Maddy, are you ok? You seem a little tense. Is it because of the- "

"I swear on mother's grave if one more person mentions me liking Ant I'm going to slit their throat!" Maddy yelled, glaring at Finn.

"Ok. Ok. Calm down, I get it. I sorry. I won't say anything. Just look forward to tonight ok? It should take your mind off things." Finn smiled at his little sister.

She nodded and looked down at the photo of her and Ant with a cute Snapchat filter. She remembered this, his parent just divorced when this happened. He was so upset she took him and the others bowling. He'd insisted they take numerous selfies and this one was her particular favourite.

When they arrived home Maddy told her father she had to work on project with the other an then took off to have shower. She got changed into her favourite ripped skinny jeans and Queen t-shirt, braided her hair into a French braid and then took of with her bag to head to Alpheus's house.

After he'd finished school for the day, Ant's father had called giving him a panic attack and now he was a jittery mess. He still needed to play a role later around Maddy and his friends, but all he could think of was his Dad saying he'd be coming home soon.

For most kids if your Dad says he's coming home, they are elated. Not Ant. He loved his father so much, but they weren't living together again because they loved each other and wanted things to work out, it was purely so people didn't ask questions. The fighting would continue, everything would go bad again.

When he finally arrived at the hang out point, Ant was feeling nervous! He walked inside and deposited his offering of alcohol an then flopped beside Finn and Callum who were facing off in a Gran Turismo tournament.

"Hey guys! We're here! An I ordered pizza!" Jess called out in a sing song voice.

"This is why we love you." Rayla whooped reaching for it.

"No! Wait on. We need to do a round of shots first, to loosen us all up." Fontaine smirked.

Callum cheered and they reached for the bottles. They all took a shot and then flopped back, passing around pizza feeling way more relaxed than before.

"Hey guys, what do you wanna do first? I mean we could watch a movie. Or maybe....... Geez I don't know." Maddy asked.

"We could play extreme truth or dare?" Alpheus offered.

"What's the difference?" Ant asked.

"Oh. Basically between every dare you have to drink. So if you choose dare you take a shot first. And between someone else's dare, everyone has to take a glass of beer or a shot. Also you aren't allowed to back out of the dare you are given and basically they can dare anything that won't cause physical harm or is illegal." Alpheus stated.

Finn chucked his hand up and laughed. "I'm in!"

The rest of them agreed and Fontaine nodded to Jess who set up a recording camera. Let the games begin.

"Okay who wants to go first?" Jess asked a they sat in a circle.

"Oh, uh. Finn you go first hey?" Callum gulped.

Finn nodded and thought for a minute. "Okay. Jess truth or dare?"

"Hmmm. Dare." Jess replied. Everyone downed a shot each, the looked at Finn expectantly.

"Okay, do your best impression of someone in this room without telling us who they are."

"Easy. 'What? Us? No we're just friends. In fact, I treat all my friends like this.'" Jess smirked, prancing around the room mockingly.

Maddy glared at her and everyone else laughed. "Maddy!"

"Yep!" Jess grinned. "Okay, my turn. Alpheus, truth or dare?"

"Oh babe, you should know I'm a dare boy. But I'll pick truth this time." Alpheus grinned.

"Righto. Uh, what is the most awkward situation you've been in?" Jess asked.

"My parents were drunk one time and we're getting way too touchy feely in the backseat of my car as I drove home." Alpheus shuddered.

Rayla gagged too and Callum went pale. Fontaine laughed and Maddy couldn't stop laughing at his face. Alpheus seemed amused that they found it amusing but it really was gross to see.

"Okay, Fontaine your turn to ask someone." Jess stated.

Fontaine turned to her brother and grinned evilly. "Ant, truth or dare?"

Ant pondered his options for a minute, wondering if he should choose dare. After all sometimes the truth is worse. But then again he might be safe with truth.

"Truth." Ant said.

"Okay, if you had to pick between your good friend Jess and your good friend Maddy who would you choose?" Fontaine asked.

"That's not fair!" Ant whined.

"C'mon little bro. You picked truth." Fontaine smirked.

Ant glared at her. "Mads."

"Called it. Okay, Rayla you're up."

Maddy gulped nervously. Rayla and her dares were brutal, and given she grew up in more normal family, she had nothing to lose when she dared people. But telling the truth was worse, so who knows what she'd decide?

"Play Maddy, truth or dare?" Rayla asked.

"Dare."

"Okay. You should have chosen truth girly. One, you have to skull a beer." Rayla said passing the beer to her already slightly tipsy friend. "Then you have to kiss the guy you love the most in this room."

"I hate you." Maddy glared skulling the drink. She felt a bit woozy as it happened but Rayla was far from done.

"I'm not finished yet. You have to kiss them on the lips, not anywhere else. And it had to be a proper french kiss. Not any pissy peck." Rayla smirked.

"Well, better pucker up Ant." Alpheus cheered slapping him on the back.

"Woah hold up. What makes you think I'll pick Ant?" Maddy blushed.

"Oh so you kiss me? Or maybe Callum though I think Rayla would kill you." Alpheus smirked.

"God I really hate you all. I'll do it but you all have to close your eyes." Maddy ordered.

"Why? Alright fine. We'll turn our backs and close our eyes." Rayla agreed.

Fontaine put the camera down facing the two and recorded it, before turning around and sitting on Finn while Maddy gathered her courage and faced Ant.

"Hey Ant. I'm really sorry for this." Maddy whispered.

"Hey I'm just glad you aren't gonna kiss Alpheus." Ant whispered back.

The room was tense and awkward, but eventually Maddy leaned down and kissed Ant. Instantly, a pop of colour burst across her vision as their lips connected. Ant gently squeezed her thigh and she gasped in suprise, allowing him to slip his tongue into her mouth. He wasn't going to beat around the bush, he knew what he wanted and now he could have it.

Maddy could taste the ocean as she kissed Ant, and knew that once would never be enough as a tiny moan escaped her lips. This had been a mistake. But still, Ant possessed her mouth, recklessly pushing the limits as they sank backwards against the bean bag siting on the floor beside them. Ant demanded a response from her, desperately hoping this wasn't just a dare, and her treacherous body didn’t disappoint him.

But no kiss can be held forever. Maddy and Ant slowly pulled away, gasping for air and looked at each other with wide eyes filled with shock. Their friends waited patiently as the pair gained their wits again, while both Ant and Maddy silently processed what ha just happened.

"I am going to kill Rayla for this later." Ant thought.

"I really hope this doesn't affect our friendship. It was just a dare. Nothing more. Right?" Maddy wondered.

"Well guys, that's something I'll never unsee. Come on, time for your turn Ant." Fontaine finally said breaking the silence.

Ant knew that Rayla forcing the most amazing kiss of his entire life, was probably going to affect his relationship with Maddy, at least for a while. So he was cautious as to how to proceed. Maddy saying nothing at all made him certain she didn't like him, not in that way. But the alcohol definitely wasn't helping his judgement.

"Finn truth or dare?" Ant finally asked.

"Dare." Finn smirked getting a fist pump from Alpheus.

Ant smirked back. "You aren't allowed to kiss Fontaine for a whole 24 hours. Starting now."

"What?! Hey I didn't make you kiss your crush! It is not my fault! That's not fair." Finn whined.

Ant went red. "She is not my crush!" He yelled angrily.

Maddy felt her heart pang when he said that. She knew he probably didn't see her like that, and she knew she really shouldn't see him as anything but a friend but it hurt far more than she thought was fair. A few tears pooled in her eyes that no on seemed to notice and she hasitly wiped them away. Kissing him was a mistake. He didn't like her. All this was going to achieve was make things awkward. Suddenly she felt the urge hide and hurriedly looked for a reason to leave.

"A fare is a dare. Hey Maddy you ok?" Ant asked glancing at her.

"I'm fine. But the alcohol is really catching up with me. Finn can we leave?" Maddy begged.

Finn wasn't going to choose anything over his little sister. He loved her very much and he automatically picked up on her nervous and tense face. Instead of insisting they stay, Finn pecked his girlfriend's cheek and stood up, nodding at Maddy who also stood up and smiled at everyone.

"Love you guys. Sorry I'm such a lightweight." Maddy slurred deliberately.

The others laughed it off but Ant felt guilty. He was obviously making her uncomfortable.

Finn helped his sister into the car and turned on the ignition. Mads was chewing on her nails, something she only did when she was upset or concerned.

"Hey Mads are you ok? You seem out of it." Finn asked worriedly.

Maddy laughed unconvincingly and nodded. "Just a lightweight. Like I said."

Finn frowned. "Well I guess she doesn't wanna talk about it."

Since the main amusement had left, the other teens seperated and went home. Fontaine could tell something was on Ant's mind but he wasn't going to share. Fontaine felt a little guilty since she'd helped to it but her feelings were nothing on Ant's.

The young man was incredibly angry at himself and felt miserable because Maddy clearly felt uncomfortable kissing her best friend.

As Maddy and Ant flopped into bed that night, there was one big thing on both of their minds;

I wish we weren't just friends.
