Finn's P.O.V

You know, it's times like these when I appreciate how far I've come in life. I mean, three years ago, I'd never thought that the enchantingly beautiful Marceline would be my girlfriend. Yet, here I am now, with my lovely queen, in absolute happiness. I currently sit next to Marceline on her stiff couch. It's not as hard as before, cause we used it a lot more when I moved in. It was only the day after we had that bath together and since Marceline wanted to do that with me every night, having enjoyed it that much, she asked if I would. Marcy was overjoyed when that happened and we celebrated the occasion with some passionate Tier 15. I hadn't known what it was before that moment, but now I understand why Jake was so determined to steer me clear of that stuff.

Marcy has fallen asleep on me, exhausted from battling some Why Wolves earlier. I look down and smile at her peaceful resting expression. My vampire love is so dreamy and I hope that she can still handle what I have planned for tonight. It's another Ooo Horror Night, but this is going to be way different than the past three. And while I try to keep things different every time, and they have gone different in a sense, this time I'm gonna ask her to marry me. Our relationship has progressed quite a lot and I don't know if it's way too soon for this, but I just love her so much that I want us to have that kind of bond where I can call her mine and she can have my last name. Assuming she wants that, of course.

I know. Big drama bomb, am I right? But, in all seriousness, that's exactly what I want to have happen tonight. I need only visit Jake, tell him about it, and get Mom and Dad's ring from him. The only thing I worry about with all that is Jake not approving of it, but I have a back up plan in case all goes south. As a matter of fact, I should probably go do that now so I don't wait until the last minute. I carefully stand, taking Marceline into my arms. As I do so, she wakes from her little nap and looks at me with those breath-taking eyes of hers.

"What's going on, Finn?" Marcy asks tiredly. 

I give her a warm smile and walk towards the ladder leading up to our bedroom.

"I have to go out and see Jake about something important" I reply, carrying her up and into the bedroom. 

As I set her on the bed, Mar Mar tightens her grip on me.

"Awh, but I don't want you to go! I want snuggles and kisses!" She whines playfully. 

I giggle at her, then lean in and lock our lips sweetly. Her breathe carries faint traces of soda. I enjoy it quite nicely.

"Fret not, for I shall return afterwards and then we can do whatever you want" I hint subtly.

Marcy smiles and pecks me on the lips once more before I set her on our bed. I fetch a blanket from her closet and cover her up so she looks like a baby bundle. Seeing her like that makes her all the more cuter in my opinion.

"Ok, my hero. Just hurry on back, cause I'll miss you" Marcy says from within her bundle.

"Sure thing, my lovely vampire" I reply, walking back to the trapdoor and climbing down the ladder. 

I quickly leave through the front door and lock it behind me so no intruders can get in when I'm away. I race across the grassy plains, the blue moon adding an eerie tone to the environment. Running the direction of Lady Ranicorn's place, I look and see that our meeting place for the movie has already started to fill up. At times, I wish I hadn't picked the woods to be our movie get-together place. It just gets so dark and scary without Marceline next to me, ensuring me that she'll help me in the case of danger. Nevertheless, I come out of the dense forest a couple minutes later and stumble across Lady and Jake's house. I walk up, anxious to get this over with, and politely knock on the door. There's some talking inside, but it hushes down after the announcement of my presence. Footsteps are heard on the floorboards and the door opens mere moments later to reveal Jake and the whole Ranicorn family.

"Hey there, bro. What brings you around here? I thought you'd be at the movie place with Marceline by now" Jake says looking confused. 

I take a deep breath and choose my next words very carefully.

"That's the thing, Jake. Instead of Marceline going as my girlfriend tonight, I would like her to go as my fiancee" I respond. 

My brother raises his eyebrows slightly, but doesn't look all too surprised about this information.

"Taking it to Tier 11, huh? I gotta be honest, bro, I'm glad you're at that point in your relationship with the Vampire Queen. But, you'll need this in order to make it official" Jake replies, stretching open a section of his stomach and taking out a black box. 

After he hands it to me, I open the box to see a silver band with a black streak across both sides of the perimeter.

"Thanks so much, Jake. You have no idea how much this means to me" I say, closing the box and putting it in my pocket for safe keeping. 

Jake smiles helpfully and folds the section of his stomach back in.

"You bet, man. Now, go get your lady and bring her to the movie. That'll be the best place to propose" Jake advises. 

I nod and begin to turn back towards the direction of the cave.

"I'll see you there, bro" I conclude. 

I don't give him time to respond before I'm off running, aiming directly for Marcy's house. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time that I don't notice my surroundings go by. What feels like only seconds is actually four minutes before I race back into the comforting and warm solitude of the cave. I unlock the door with a key that Marceline gave me when I moved in and enter. I close the door behind me in excitement and head for the trapdoor. I open it and climb up, but am grabbed by a pair of familiar arms before I can pull myself out of the hole. Marceline lifts me up and wraps me in a hug, flying us over to our bed and setting the both of us down. She then kisses me briefly and rests her head on my shoulder sideways.

"I don't wanna sound all mushy, but it gets hard to not have you with me all the time" Marcy says in a low voice. 

I rub her back comfortingly.

"Don't worry, I won't leave your side again. Not now, not ever" I reply soothingly. 

I feel Marceline smile against my shoulder.

"So, what was so important that you had to leave me for?" My girl asks, pretending to pout.

"Oh, don't worry, you'll know soon enough. In fact, how bout we find out when we get to the movie place?" I suggest. 

Marceline pulls back and widens her eyes in surprise.

"Oh, Glob. I had completely forgotten about that! Sure, we can go right now" My queen says, floating up from the bed and straightening out her clothes. 

As she does so, I get enchanted by her looks. She wears the similar clothing and hairstyle of the time when I asked PB to go the movies with me. Only this time, Marcy and me are going to definitely do some tongue.

"Right! Let's get going!" Marceline responds cheerfully, grabbing me around the chest. 

The Vampire Queen jets down the trapdoor opening and out the door, obviously eager to get to her favorite event. Little does she know that what I have in my pocket will make this night even more special. Marceline flies us up, up, and away, heading clear over the treeline outside the cave. It takes a little searching, but we eventually find the meeting spot. You'd think a bustling hub of princesses and people would be pretty easy to spot, but the minimal lighting makes it that much harder to see at night. Not to mention the fact that when Marcy sets us down, our usual spot has been covered by some type of large dome. Her and I look at each other, confused, but approach the double doors and push them inward.

Inside is our movie spot, but with some upgrades to our set-up. The screen is much wider and a higher quality material than just a sheet, the projector looks more modern, and our stage appears constructed of some better quality wood. Looking up, I see that the dome's ceiling is imitating the night sky outside the structure. I'm still confused and Marceline just shrugs, not knowing what's going on either. I look around and see that the crowd is just as big as last time, but I also see that Princess Bubblegum and Flame Princess have returned. I narrow my eyes at this fact and tug on Marceline's sleeve, pointing at the two princesses.

"Grrr" She seethes, her teeth growing large and sharp, "What are they doing back here? Should I kick them out so that they won't cause any trouble, Finn?"

"Maybe, but I'll first talk to them" I say.

"Alright, but I'll be right beside you if you need help" Marceline insists, turning invisible.

I then walk over to Bubblegum, her and Phoebe noticing me coming their way. And they can definitely see my stern expression.

"Before you get mad, Finn, I want to apologize for my behavior last time" Princess Bubblegum says as I raise an eyebrow at her, "I sat and thought about it and it was wrong of me to say those things. I shouldn't have tried to take you from Marceline. So, as part of my apology, I wanted to make this movie night dome. It keeps the nature inside alive, but also doesn't let it rain on us if and when we're watching a movie."

"......As long as you mean what you say and stick to it, then I'll forgive you" I reply cautiously.

"I'm sorry too, Finn. I should've respected your situation. But I promise that I will going forward. And I'm not just saying that cause I'm sure that Vampire Queen is next to you, ready to attack me if I don't" Phoebe says apologetically, "I still don't have the best control over my emotions, but that's no excuse for my actions. Please accept my apology."

"I do accept your apology, FP" I nod at the fire elemental, then nodding to Bubblegum too, "And thanks for all this."

I then walk away and Marcy becomes visible again next to me.

"I'm still not satisfied" My girlfriend crosses her arms, "People like them don't change that quickly."

"Well, unless I see any sign of them breaking their promise, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt" I sigh.

Marcy sighs too and some other princesses nearby see that I've arrived and clap. Ignoring the ladies attempts at flirtation, I steer my queen towards our spot under the tree. I sit her down gently and ask her to please wait there while I get the show started. Marcy nods, smiling at me. I then do what I usually do at this point, going up to the screen and announcing the movie of the night.

"Hello, my friends, and welcome to the fourth Ooo Horror Night!" I exclaim loudly and enthusiastically, the audience cheering, "Now, before I get us started on the movie, I would like to ask my girlfriend, Marceline the Vampire Queen, to please come join me on stage." 

Marcy grins and hovers on over, landing next to me on the platform.

"As some of you may or may not have known, Marceline and I have been dating for quite some time now. I couldn't be happier and I don't think I can ever surpass that. But, like in all relationships, things must go on from where they stand" I explain to the crowd. 

They listen intently, all side conversation halting at my words. I turn my gaze to look Marcy directly in her gorgeous red eyes and begin to bend down.

"So, Marceline Abadeer, I ask you this. Instead of being my girlfriend, would you like to be my wife?" I say, getting on one knee and opening the ring box that I pulled from my pocket. 

There's a huge gasp of surprise that emanates from the crowd. Marceline'e eyes brim with tears and an overjoyed smile makes it way onto her pretty face.

"Yes!" Marcy cries out, rushing forward and hugging me tightly. 

The crowd erupts in cheers and applause, some people jumping up and down with joy. Marceline pulls way from the hug and I take that moment to slip the ring onto her finger. With her eyes still in tears, Marcy grabs the sides of my face and kisses me deeply. I savor the moment, glad that this worked out so well. We keep our lips sealed together for a short while before we separate. Marceline and I blush profoundly, looking away with embarrassment. 

"And without any further Tier 11, I introduce to you A Nightmare On Elm Street " I then say before Marcy takes hold of me and yanks me off the stage.

That signals Jake, who mans the projector, to start the movie. He actually brought it this time and also was the one who selected it from our pile. He's been handling more of the events now that I'm spending more and more time with Marceline. My fiancee then flies us off stage, over the crowd and to our designated spot.

"Do you really mean it!? You want to... m-marry me?" Marceline cries, the happiness pouring down her cheeks as she faces me.

"I'm dead certain. You mean more to me than any other could girl in Ooo, Marceline. You're drop dead gorgeous, smart, funny, and have a great personality. If I didn't marry you, I'd be a complete fool" I confirm. 

Marcy snuggles into my chest and sobs happily. The movie is starting, so I sit us down, Marceline fully relaxing into my body. I stroke her hair comfortingly, and kiss her sweetly on the forehead. Marcy stops crying after a second and looks up at me. At this point, I don't think she cares about watching the movie at all. Now she only wants to look at me and think about our upcoming future together.

"I love you so much, Finn. Thank you for asking me" She says grinning.

"I love you too, Marceline. I'll always be there when you need me. No matter the instance" I reply.

I go to watch the movie, but find it hard to concentrate since Marceline begins kissing me all over. She's giddy from excitement and also getting needy. Lightly pecking my cheek, neck, and other parts of my upper body, Marceline doesn't let up, so I stand up, pick her up in my arms, and head out the dome doors. She's successfully getting me as worked up as she is, making it all the more easy for me to kiss her back. Marcy grins and we begin stripping each other's clothes off out in the woods. And once we're both naked, we have hot, passionate Tier 15. We ravage each other for the entire length of the movie, having to grab our clothes off the ground hide around the side of the dome as the princesses and other Ooo citizens begin leaving. But as we're hiding, Marcy and I look at each other and smile, loving the adventure we just had together.
