Y/n's pov

I walk beside my ginger-headed friend, Beverly.

We go way back but I recently have just moved to Derry Maine.

"School starts tomorrow." Beverly tilts her head towards me

"I know." I suck on the lollipop I had in my mouth

"I have some friends I think you'd like?" She suggests to me

"Uh. I'm not the social type." I say,

it was quite true though. I was terribly anti-social and socially awkward.

"I know but, just in case you need someone to talk to and I'm not there?" She shrugs

"Okay, but it doesn't mean I'm talking to them." I sigh as we reach my house

"See you tomorrow hun." She smiles and continues to walk in to the direction of her house

"Cya."

I take out the key and unlock the door.

"Y/n?! Is that you?" My mum shouts from the living room I'm guessing

"Yeah." I shout as I lock the door, slipping the key back into my pocket

I walk into the living room, she was sitting with my step-dad Luke.

"Hi guys." I smile the most fake smile and give a little wave

"Sweetie! Just in time for dinner. How was hanging with Beverly for the first time in forever?" She says as she sits up and grabs me a plate of food

"Good." I shrug and take a seat at the dining table

She places my food down. Okay, If I'm completely honest... my mum is a shit cooker.

"Uhh," I gulp "I'm not hungry." I laugh nervously as I sit up

"I'll just grab some fruit." I grab an apple and head up to my room

It was late, so my first thought was my bed.

"Y/n, wake up. Y/nn.."

"mHm" I mumble

"Beverly is here, she's waiting downstairs and I really don't want to use the cold water trick on you again." She snaps

"Okay! I'm up holy fuck." I groan as I lift myself up

"Language Y/n." She raises a brow and leaves, shutting the door behind her

I quickly get ready and head downstairs to find Beverly actually was here, leaning against a wall impatiently and I had made her wait.

"Goodness Y/n! Took you a decade." She laughs and I playfully roll my eyes

We head out.

"We are going to head over to the boys house so we can walk with them. Kay?" She smiles

I just simply nod as we reach our first stop. A short, curly haired boy walked out with a large backpack.

"Got enough on your back Kaspbrak?" Beverly giggles at him stumbling over

"Where else do I put all my pills and Richie's homework?" He rolls his eyes

"By the way Y/n, this is Eddie Kaspbrak." Beverly says and we start walking again

after a few houses I had met just about everyone, we had one last house and I just realised how large this group is. 8 people, apparently, including me.. I think.

"We're at R-r-richie's." Bill stutters, we all stop

"RIcHIE cOME HERE." Eddie yells

"COMInG!" A voice yells

then out of no where the door flies open and a boy with toast slipped in between his mouth came running out.

"I woke up late." He mumbles through the toast

"I can tell." Eddie rolls his eyes

"Who's that?" He nods his head over to me

"That's Y/n, the new girl in the losers club. She's Bev's friend." Eddie smiles and Richie nods

"She's pretty damn hot." Richie grins as he swallows the last bit of his toast and we start working

"Shut up Richie." Stan says, hitting the back of his head

"Ow you little shit." Richie mumbles, rubbing the back of his head

It was noticeable that Richie had slowly made his way next to me while we were walking to school, it was unfortunately a longish walk so I actually had to talk to people, although they all seemed cool.

"So." Richie smirks at me, looking me up and down

"What." I say bluntly

"Whoa feisty one much. That's okay bad girls are more attractive anyway." He shrugs

"How was that feisty?" I squint my eyes

"It sounded feisty." He smiles innocently

"Shut up." I laugh and punch his arm slightly

"Your cute." He smiles, innocently once again

"And you go too fast." I roll my eyes playfully

"Can I ask you a question?" He asks

"Sure." I shrug

"Are you a parking ticket? Cause you've got fine written all over you." He grins

"Leave her alone Tozier." Bev rolls her eyes at Richie

"But she's too cute." Richie pouts

We finally reach school, I look around, it was a decent size. Smaller then my old one but really nice, you could tell who was popular and who wasn't.

We walk in and I bump into someone, they were pretty tall too. I look up, my face suddenly drops.

"Henry?" I say taking a step back

"Y/n? What are you doing here?" He frowns

"No, what are you doing here?" I glare at him

"I asked you a question. Answer it." He says sternly, by now everyones attention was on us

"I moved to get away from you." I say bluntly

"Bullshit." He squints his eyes

"I didn't want shit to do with your gang stuff, why do you think I dumped you?" I gawk

He was lost for words.

"Pathetic." I push past him

"Who was that?" Richie asks

"My ex." I roll my eyes as I walk into the school, I had no idea where I was going and Richie seemed to be the only one that followed me

"Y/n you don't know where you're going." Richie says, following behind me

He grabs my hand.

"You don't still like him do you?" He chews on the side of his mouth

"No, god no." I make a disgusted face

"Good because I really want to get to know you." He smiles at me

"Yeah... same." I shoot him a smile back
