Flash Flood
This chapter is an idea sent out to Wisegirl38 and their book, Flash Flood. They recently added in a character of mine into their story, so this is what I imagined that she did after Percy told her that Tim was the best when it came to water slides(Since they're at the water park). I do hope you like it!
Also, Wisegirl38 , if you don't want this up here, all you have to do is say the word!
Darsea's POV
I was having a lot of fun. Once the guy, Percy, had said that Tim was fun on waterslides, I had practically dragged him away to go on my favorite ones. Namely the Twister, the Sonic Slider, and the Drop Point. When we had gone up the stairs for the Drop Point, there were three guys that whistled and they were looking at me.
Tim had looked at them strangely and their eyes widened and they quickly looked away. Maybe they had thought that they knew us but it turned out they didn't. Whatever the case, they didn't look at me for the rest of the way up. I was wearing a white to dark blue gradient bikini, maybe they knew someone else who had the same bathing suit.
When we had finally gone down it, I couldn't help but laugh! My hair had gotten messed up and covered my face, making me have to use my hands to try getting it to behave. Curly hair when wet can be both a blessing and a curse! It didn't stop me from laughing as I looked over to Tim, who tried getting up but slipped in the water and landed in an awkward painting-your-French-girls pose.
I got out and went over to his slide, helping him to stand and exit the slide before more people came down. As we were walking down the steps and to another slide, Tim and I just started talking about things, little things like our favorite music or color.
"I'd say it's red."
"Blue is better." I told him, ignoring the look he gave me that said he disagreed with me. I looked at him shaking his head.
"No, red is definitely best."
"Okay then. What shade of red?"
He thought about it for a few seconds before he looked at me and answered. "Red like the color of a Robin. What shade of blue is your favorite?"
I didn't even have to think about that, I knew the answer already. "Blue like the color of my eyes."
We kept talking and going on slides. It was almost two hours later when we found his group of friends again. They were by the wave pool, and we approached them, we were just walking in silence, but it was comfortable.
"Oh, there you are Timmy boy! Hi Darsea!" Percy called when he saw us and waved. I smiled and waved back at Percy, and Wally squinted again. The sun had started going down though. Maybe it was a light shining in his eyes? The others greeted us too.
"We were just about to go looking for you, Tim. Bruce wants us back home in half an hour, he left around 8:30." Dick said to Tim when we were right next to them. They already had their things with them, ready to leave. My eyes widened when he said that.
"Wait a sec, what time is it now?" I asked worried. I was supposed to pick up my mom by 9:20 from the clinic. Tim looked at his phone and read out, "Almost 9:15." Then he looked up at me. "Why?"
I ignored that question. "Can I borrow your phone? I need to tell my Mom that I might be late." I said quickly. He nodded his head, "Yeah, sure." He said handing his phone to me.
I walked slightly away and dialed Mom's number but it went to voicemail. "Yeah, hi Mom. I might be a bit late picking you up, I lost track of time. Sorry. Bye!" And I disconnected the call, quickly going to the contacts and adding my own number while walking back up to Tim.
I handed him the phone and he immediately saw the new contact. He looked up at me confused, so I just smiled. "If you ever need someplace to escape to, call me." And I quickly walked away, leaving the park. I went up to my family's beat up grey 1993 Jeep Wrangler and started driving away to the clinic. We also had a motorcycle, but I wasn't allowed to ride it for my safety seeing as I still didn't know how to ride it on actual roads just yet.
I really hoped that Tim called soon, it would be nice to have another friend.
Tim's POV(Just after Darsea left)
I couldn't really do much but stare after where Darsea had gone. I was dragged out of my thoughts by Dick looking at my phone and asking, "Did she just give you her number?" I smiled slightly and nodded. "Yeah, she did." I heard a muttered 'and I was starting to like her' from Connor.
Suddenly a towel was thrown at my head and I almost dropped my phone. I ripped the towel away from my face to see Artemis staring at me with a deadpan expression as Dick laughed at the anger now showing on my face.
"Artemis, what the hell!"
"Oh, sorry, I was trying to get that look off of you. Turns out it was just your face." She said, sarcasm dripping off of her every word. "Guys, c'mon, lets go." Artemis said after a few seconds of staring at my expression.
As we were walking into the mansion, Dick walked side by side with me. I was just looking at the picture that Darsea had managed to snap for the contact photo. It was just her smiling warmly, her hair starting to dry from our walk away from the slides. "So are you going to call her?"
I looked to Dick, standing in front of me. We were the only ones left in the entrance hall. I hadn't even noticed I stopped walking until he spoke!
I had to think that one over. She was nice, pretty, and an outgoing person. She probably had a lot of friends. From what I understood, she was single. I also didn't miss the fact that she didn't give her number to the others, just me. "Yeah, I'll call her."
Dick grinned and it lit up his entire being, making him seem a lot happier. "Better do it soon. Girls like her are rare to find, don't want her to slip through your fingers." And he turned on his heel, walking away and into a different room.
