Okay, I just came up with this ship because I was watching How Nightmare Moon Came To Be on YouTube. I thought this would be awesome! I know this is super short notice shipping, but I needed to write it down otherwise I would forget it.
So, back to StygiLuna. Yes, that's my ship name. Deal with it. I think it would be super awesome, because of a few reasons.
1. They're both ponies who nobody really remembers. It's like The Shadow Club. The lesser known, but important people in the MLP universe.
2. They've both been corrupted by dark magic. They both have darker backgrounds, and maybe Luna could help him get through being feared by ponies by leveling with him. They could start growing closer, and eventually start dating.
3. They're both reformed villains. Honestly, we need a club for all the reformed villains. Or maybe a facility for storing them. Seriously, they're popping up everywhere I go! But back to them. This ties in very closely to the 'being corrupted' reason. They both have been feared, and if Luna can teach him to be, well, more social, then they could be friends.
4. They've both been overshadowed by their older siblings/friends. Again, Shadow Club reference. If they both have been overshadowed by StarSwirl and Celestia, they could talk to each other and, well, gossip about their friends and their weak points. Hey, if I were Luna, I would take every shot I could to diss Miss Tia.
Now, onto the bad points. This is kind of turning into a debate, so let me know in the comments below what you think of this.
One, Luna is a royal and Stygian is, well, not. This might prevent them from even meeting.
Two, he might hate Luna and Celestia both because they idolize Starswirl and generally like him and Stygian loathes him.
Three, pretty sure this is a first, but I'm 90% certain Stygian is older than Luna and we do not do crazy age ships on this channel.
Now that I think over this more, I feel that Stygian and Luna should be Shadow Pony x Nightmare Moon. Let me know what you think and don't forget to comment ships on my last announcement.
