Kohana's POV

I took a deep breath as I checked myself in the mirror. Today was Friday, the day where my father, several guards, (basically to guard me) and I will on go on a cruise. Not only to enjoy the cruise but to steal the Japanese Leonardo Da Vinci's paintings that they are featuring during the party. Can I do this? Course I can... With the guys not there, I can do it without fail... I hope...

Hiro's POV

Hikari: "What do you guys think?" She asked as she stepped out of the changing room.

Riki: "Next." Riki waved his hand and Kenshi handed her the next dress.

Hiro: "..." Long story short, Hikari somehow got all of us into clothes shopping with her for tonight... Us 5 were sitting on a long couch in front of the changing curtains. Riki had his legs crossed, head resting on his left fist, and right arm resting on the top of the couch. (A/N: If you don't get what I mean, it's similar to the position Eisuke -Kissed By The Baddest Bidder- makes when he's sitting on the couch...) Takuto is sitting next to him typing away in his computer... Boss and Kenshi are holding the untried dresses. And I was sitting on the arm rest. (A/N: Like Baba...) Btw, us guys already got our suits... Just need to pay for them...

Hikari: "This?"

Riki: "Next."

Kenshi: "Come on Riki... We've been at this for hours..." Kenshi said after Hikari walked back in with another dress.

Riki: "Not my fault... It's the one who's wearing it... Anyone could look good with the right clothes..." Riki replied, clearly annoyed that we have been here for hours. "Not my fault she looks ugly in the previous dresses..."

Boss: "Riki! Don't say that out loud!!"

Riki: "She can't hear us anyway, she's chatting away on her cellphone... Tellin' the whole world that she's goin' on a cruise..."

Takuto: "Hahh..."

Kenshi: "Hang in there Takuto... Just about 20 more dresses to go..."

Takuto: "Uuuugggggghhhhhhhh........"

Hiro: "You sound like a zombie... Scary..." I grimaced in a playful way.

Takuto: "You think? Remember who was the one who called all of us 5 in the morning... Announcing about shopping..." He rubbed his temples tiredly.

???: "Do I really have I do this?"

???: "Yes, it's your father's orders."

Black Foxes: "???" We all huddled to the side and saw... "Kohana!?" Surrounding her, were several men in black suits and sunglasses; looking like guards. Kohana walked ahead and turned around.

Kohana: "Can't I wear jeans instead?"

Man 1: "I'm sorry Miss. Hikari, but your father requested for you to wear a dress. It doesn't have to be that flashy but it has to at least be a dress."

All But Me: "Hikari?"

Hiro: "..." Of course I already knew this... At least I didn't have to tell them...

Kohana: "But I have scars all over---"

Man 2: "We'll find a way to cover those Miss. Hikari."

Kohana: "Hahh..." She sighed and looked at the ground.

Man 3: "Try on these dresses Miss. Hikari." One said, handing her some dresses.

Kohana: "I can't do this..."

Man 4: "You have to. Or your father will---"

Kohana: "I know... You don't have to say it... If I don't obey, you're all going to tell my father right?"

All Men: "..." They simply stared intently at her.

Kohana: "... (Sigh) Alright then..." She shrugged and headed for the curtains where the 5th man was waiting. He silently pulled the curtains back, letting her walk in and followed her.

All: "!?!" We quickly backed away and looked at each other.

Riki: "The hell? Is that man gonna watch her change!?"

Hiro: "..." I stayed complete silent.

FLASHBACK

Hiro's POV

Kohana: "I'm jealous of Hikari." Kohana whispered.

Hiro: "Jealous?" I asked.

Kohana: "She seems to have a great life, perfect boyfriend, great friends... She's got everything... She has a flawless life... What do I have? I have to kill innocent, steal paintings, I can't even be free for more than 5 hours... Then father would send his men to stalk me wherever I go to make sure I won't leave or tell people..."

Hiro: "Can I help somehow?" I asked and she slowly shook her head.

Kohana: "Don't get involved. I don't want you to..."

END OF FLASHBACK

Hiro: "..." I sighed once again. Those must be her father's men... Her father doesn't completely trust her... That's why one went in with her to change... To make sure she doesn't make phone calls or tries to escape... That's terrible! I clenched my fists.

Riki: "Hiro?"

Hiro: "It's nothing..." I looked away.

Hikari: "Guys? What are you doing?" Hikari asked as she slowly made her way towards us.

Kenshi: "Nothing really..." Kenshi quickly tried to change the subject. "You look..."

Hikari: "Do I look okay?"

Riki: "Perfect!" He exclaimed. "Get that one!"

Hikari: "Alright." She smiled and headed for the check out lanes with our suits.

Riki: "Just saying that so we could get out of here..."

Takuto: "Why didn't you think of that sooner!?!?"

Riki: "Well, it really didn't look that bad... So might as well take that and go..."

Kenshi: "Wait, what about Kohana?"

We all happened to turn around to see a blur running past us.

Hiro: "Is that...?"

Man 1: "Damn it! She got away! Get her!"

Takuto: "Shit! Just got real!!"

Riki: "Don't just stand there! We should help her!"

Hiro: "Lets go!" I shouted and we all ran out, leaving Hikari to pay for all of our clothes...

(A/N: Wasn't that evil? xD)

Riki's POV

Looking at Kohana reminded me of that time when I saw those cuts and bruises on her arms... Just thinking about is making me feel uneasy...

Kenshi: "Where did she go?" He asked once we turned into an alley.

Takuto: "There!"

Riki: "Make sure no one sees us!" I exclaimed and we hid on one side of the building.

Man 1: "Got her!"

Kohana: "Ahh! Let go of me!!!" She struggled but more of the guards grabbed her arms.

Man 2: "Miss. Hikari, do you know what happens when you disobey your father's orders?"

Kohana: "I don't care!!! Let me go!!!"

Man 5: "Was the whipping yesterday not enough for you?!"

Kohana: "!" The men released her and she collapsed onto her knees, face buried in her hands. "(Sniff)" She quietly sobs as the men stood there watching her...

Riki: "Whipping?" I asked what was on my mind for a while.

Hiro: "... She gets abused by her father... That's why she left... So we don't have to be involved."

All: "What!?" We all looked at each other in horror. Hiro slowly nodded.

Hiro: "That's why she never came back after that day... The same day I got lectured by yours truly..."

Riki: "If you like Kohana, why don't you just dump Hikari?" I asked.

Kenshi: "Yeah, even when you started dating her, you did nothing more than a 2 second kiss... Who asked first?"

Hiro: "She did..."

Takuto: "Thought so..."

Boss: "Why did you date her when you don't have feelings for her?"

Hiro: "At first I did... Because she used to remind me so much of my first crush and I thought that it was really her..."

Takuto: "And then, bam! It wasn't right?"

Hiro: "... Hikari would never act like that..."

Riki: "Hikari......"

Hiro: "The Hikari that I met 13 years ago..."

Kenshi: "You don't mean..."

Hiro: Nods. "The problem I had for 8 years... She went missing for 8 years and I never saw her again..."

Hiro's POV

Hiro: I swallowed and looked at the others. "Kohana reminds me so much of Hikari..."

Riki: "Wow... Sorry, we didn't know."

Hiro: "It's fine..." I looked away, remembering about Kohana. I looked at her and saw the men closing in on her, to beat her? To take her away? I don't know... But there's one thing that I do know. "I have to help her..."

Kenshi: "Huh? What?"

Hiro: "Be right back!" I exclaimed and casually hurried towards Kohana. "Kohana!"

Kohana: "!" She looked up at the sound of her name. "H-..."

Man 1: "Who are you?"

Hiro: "Daisuke." I used the name Kohana gave me, remembering that these men work for her father. "Friend of Kohana's."

Man 2: "I see... And what business do you have with her?" The second one asked suspiciously.

Hiro: "Nothing really... I thought something happened so I wanted to make sure she's okay."

Man 3: "I see... Well, nothing's wrong. We apologize for worrying you."

Hiro: "Oh no, it's fine. And I apologize for interrupting... Are you her bodyguards?"

Man 3: "Um... Yes... We are..."

Hiro: "Oh I see..."

Man 4: "May I ask how you knew she was in the alley just---"

Kohana: "Enough." She hissed and stood up. "It's none of our business, lets go." She said coldly and walked away.

Hiro: "..." I looked at the ground.

Kohana: "..." She stopped, back facing me. "Check your screen often?"

Hiro: "Huh?" I looked at her.

Kohana: "..." She glanced at me, then left, followed by the men.

Hiro: "My screen?" I muttered.

Riki: "Hiro!"

Hiro: "Oh hey guys..."

Kenshi: "Don't run off like that... I thought you were gonna beat them to a pulp."

Hiro: "Sorry... I thought those men were gonna do something to her. I was just trying to distract them."

Riki: "Smart."

(Ring)

All: "!?"

Hiro: "Sorry..." I muttered and took out my phone.

'Hikari Sato'

(A/N: Sorry for not telling you but Hikari (24) is Hikari Sato... So yeah...)

Hiro: "Hello?"

Hikari: "Hiro where are you?"

Hiro: "Uh... We'll be right there." I replied.

Hikari: "Wait---"

(Hangs up)

Riki: "Nice one. I mean... Lets get back. We have questions for you later Mr. Sarashina."

Hiro: "Oh boy..." I muttered as we made our way back into the store later figuring out that those suits weren't cheap...

Riki: "How do I look?"

Hikari: "Expensive..." She muttered flatly, thinking about her maxed out credit card.

Hiro: "Are you gonna go change Hikari?" Hiro asked, reaching for his tie.

Hikari: "Oh yeah! Wanna... Help?" She took the tie and wrapped it around the back of his neck, pulling his face closer. Almost kissing.

Hiro: Quickly pulled away, taking the tie with him. "Sorry, I need to put the tie on, you go ahead."

Hikari: "O-Kay..." She muttered disappointedly and went upstairs.

Riki: "Reject!"

Kenshi: "Hush man, you want her to hear you?"

Riki: "Eh? Well, I was hoping she'll leave him alone if she heard me..."

Kenshi & Boss: "Oh..."

Hiro: "I was... Gonna ask if maybe Kohana could come..."

Takuto: "Thought so..."

Hiro: "Was it that obvious?"

Takuto: "... Yeah..."

Hiro: "... I'm loosing my touch..." He sighs.

Riki: "By the way..."

Kenshi: "You're gonna question Hiro?"

Riki: "Bingo."

Hiro: "Hahh... Ready." He muttered as the shower upstairs came on, giving them a chance to talk.

Riki: "First. Why were those men calling her Miss. Hikari?"

Hiro: "I don't know... She never told me... But I think... That's her real name."

Riki: "I see. Question 2. Why did you say your name was Daisuke?"

Hiro: "When I met her father Mr. Saki a couple of weeks ago, she told him that my name was Daisuke."

Takuto: "Wait! Mr. Saki?"

Hiro: "!!!" He slapped his hand over his mouth. "I mean...!"

Kenshi: "Can't take it back!"

Hiro: "Hahh... Alright... I'll explain..." He sighed and quietly told them the whole story...

Riki: "So you're saying that Kohana's name is actually Hikari? And her last name is Saki not Yuri?"

Hiro: "Well... That's what I think so far. Can't be certain..."

Kenshi: "Wow... So... she lied to us?"

Hiro: "It's just to protect us..."

Takuto: "Or maybe there's another story behind it..."

Boss: "What do you mean?"

Takuto: "I mean like... I feel as if she told many people her fake name... But why...? Maybe she doesn't want her true identity to be discovered!"

Riki: "Good observation... But do you think that that's really the reason?"

Takuto: "Just a guess... I mean like, sometimes people have to lie about themselves so no one can discover their true identity..."

Kenshi: "That's true..."

Hiro: "Maybe..."

Riki: "And you said that she gets abused Hiro? Why doesn't she tell someone?"

Hiro: "... Because she told me that she had no one to reach out to..."

All: "Ohh........"

Riki: "That's a tough life she has there..."

Kenshi: "I can't believe it though... When she talks to us, she was all smiles and laughter... Who knew a cheery girl like her could live a terrible life as we speak..."

Hiro: "I wish I could do something... But she doesn't want to get us involved... Which reminds me..."

Riki: "Sup?"

Hiro: "She asked me a question earlier..."

Takuto: "What did she say?"

Hiro: "Check your screen often?"

Riki: "Screen? Like a door?"

Boss: "Television?"

Hiro: "Computer?"

Kenshi: "Some kind of projector?"

Takuto: "Hahh... Cell phone..."

All: "OHHHH!!! I get it! I get it now!"

Takuto: (Bangs his head on the counter. 😣)

Hiro: "Well that makes sense..." He muttered and pulled out his cell phone, at the same time, a message appeared. "Whose number is this?"

Everyone huddled.

Riki: "Huh... No idea..."

(Ring!!!)

All: "Gah!!"

Takuto: "Well that certainly scared the shit outta me..."

All: "(sigh)"

Hiro: "I'll put it on speaker."

Riki: "Alright... I'm pretty sure Hikari's just coming out of the shower by now."

(Shows Hikari whose getting out of the shower. Riki has ESP!! ;) Back to the boys!!)

Hiro: "Hello?"

Kohana: "Hey, it's me."

Hiro: "Kohana?!"

Kohana: "Hello."

Hiro: "Hey, how have you been?"

Kohana: "Alright I guess... Sorry, you were probably panicking on who was texting you... And calling..."

Hiro: "Heh, it's fine. Is this...?"

Kohana: "My cell phone."

Hiro: "I thought you already had one."

Kohana: "Well this is my phone... My dad doesn't know I brought a phone for myself. The other one has a tracking device in it... I later found out."

Riki: "That's terrible..." Riki muttered.

Kohana: "Riki? Are you in speaker or something Hiro?"

Hiro: "Y-yeah... Sorry about that..."

Kohana: "Hehe it's totally fine... Hey guys."

All: "Hey!"

Kohana: "How are you guys?"

All: "Great!"

Kohana: "Hehe that's good. Sorry for not visiting LRN like I use to... It's... Difficult to explain..."

Riki: "Well um... Hate to burst your bubble but um... Hiro already told us everything..."

Kohana: "Everything? What's 'everything'?"

Hiro: "... I told them you lied about your name."

Kohana: "..."

Hiro: "... And about your father..."

Kohana: "... (Sigh) Thanks."

Hiro: "I know, I shouldn't have said anything because it wasn't my business and--- wait, what?"

Kohana: "Haha, I said thanks. It makes it a little easier for me... I was going to tell you guys but I was afraid that you guys will leave me... I mean... I did lie and all..."

Riki: "Of course we won't leave you Kohana... How could you say that?"

Kohana: "... I don't know... I guess I'm just not used to people staying with me..."

Kenshi: "Now don't think like that! You got us! We got your back!"

Kohana: "Thanks guys."

Father: "Hikari!"

Takuto: "What's going on?"

Kohana: "I think my father's calling me..."

Father: "Hikari, come here!"

Kohana: "Just a minute!"

Father: "Hikari!"

(Loud Footsteps)

Kohana: "Shoot! Guys I have to---"

(Bam!)

Kohana: "Ahh!"

(Kohana's Phone Drops Onto The Floor)

Hiro: "Kohana!?"

Takuto: "Hiro! Pass me your phone!"

Hiro: "Here." He hands Takuto the phone and he connects it with his laptop.

Riki: "What are you trying to do Takuto?"

Takuto: "Watch me hack into her camera."

All: "???" They watched as Takuto's computer screen looked like a tv with static. Seconds later, the computer screen showed a room.

Riki: "What the?? What's going on?"

Takuto: "I told you." He smirked with confidence. "I hacked into her camera and now I can see through her phone's front and back camera."

Boss: "That's kinda creepy Takuto."

Takuto: "Never mind that, we should see what happened... Luckily her phone is right under the bed so her father won't see it."

They all stared at the screen to see Kohana talking to her fuming father.

Kohana: "--- I'm sorry father!"

Father: "When I call you, I expect you to come with absolute obedience!"

(A/N: Hmm? Kakeru? Jk!! xD)

Kohana: "I'm sorry."

Father: "And who were you talking to?!" He grabbed her 'tracked phone' and pressed some keys.

Kohana: "I wasn't talking to anybody..."

Father: "Your liar! I heard voices here." He stormed over to her and roughly grabbed her right arm.

Kohana: "Ahh!"

Hiro: "Damn him!" He clenched his fists.

The other boys were either holding their breath or holding in their anger.

Father: "You better not fail me tonight." He hissed as Kohana winced in pain.

Kohana: "..." Tears flowed down her cheeks.

Father: "Your pathetic, useless, don't deserve any happiness!" He screamed and threw her onto the floor.

Kohana: "Ugh..." She collapsed a few feet from the phone. "Tch..." She wince and pushed herself halfway off the floor. "I promise I'll do better..." She whispered.

Father: "If you don't..." He walked right up to her and lifted her chin with his right hand. "I promise you that I'll find 'him' and kill him."

Kohana: "No! Please don't!" She shook her head as the tears fell onto the tile floor.

Father: "Not only you lied and said that he left you 8 years ago, but YOU were the one who took him to the airport and sent him here in Toyko."

Hiro: "What?" He gasped at the unknown information.

Kenshi: "Hiro, didn't you tell us the same thing not too long ago?"

Hiro: "Yeah..."

Father: "I'll be back at 6." He spat and slammed the door. "And you better be dressed with the dress I had to buy for you."

Hiro's POV

Is that how he always treat her?! I can't stand it!!

Kohana: "(Hiccup)" She ran her hands through her hair and stood up. She walked over to the body length mirror and slowly exhaled. "I can't fail tonight... I can't... I can't be useless anymore..." She wiped a stray tear away with her fingertips. "Will I ever find love?" She slowly knelt on the floor and touched the mirror. "Will anyone love me?"

Hiro: Kohana... I wish I could do more for you... I think... I think I've fallen in love with you...
