Death is something everyone experiences.They just never feel it.

The ones that are left behind suffer.They stop crying after awhile.

But they still hurt.

For some,one thing is left behind.

Hinata Shouyou,aged just 21 passed away,on the 20th of December.

Kageyama's mother had died in a hospital.

If he'd have known Hinata would've died in a hospital,he wouldn't have forced Hinata into sex.

But he did.And that's why his little Shouyou was dead.

There was one thing he had left behind.

A baby girl.

She'd survived.Hinata hadn't.The sezarian was too much for his small,frail body.

Kageyama had to give up his dream of volleyball,his wings grounded by something that held him back.

He named his daughter the name Hinata had wished for her to be called.

Tobiya.

The funeral was depressing,all of the old team,and Hinata's friends from other schools attended.

They all complimented little Tobiya.

Kageyama knew Tobiya enjoyed the compliments.

He was dealing with being a single parent pretty well.

He had to find an office job.

He took Tobiya with him,not wanting to trust anyone with her.

He managed to keep up with work,take care of a baby,and feed himself.

It was one night,when Kageyama was pushing Tobiya home in her pram,when a white angel feather fell down.

This is the most common Angel feather, and is thought to be a sign of faith and protection. A white feather can also be your Angel telling you that any loved ones in heaven are safe and well. 

Kageyama cried in the middle of the street and all the way home.

Tobiya cried upon hearing Kageyama cry.

Kageyama framed the feather and put it by the small shrine for Hinata.

5 years later~

Kageyama's life had been nothing but pain.

Especially when Tobiya asked him "Sensei said dat we should all bwing in our mummies and daddies for pawents evening.Why doesn't me have a mummy?"

Kageyama explained to her "Your mummy is on holiday.I don't think he'll be coming back.He's happy there."

Tobiya nodded,even though confused.

Kageyama taught her how to cook,how to clean,and how to take care of herself,seeing as nights at the office were late.

He often came home to little Tobiya sleeping on the sofa.

"Tobiya,wake up"Kageyama said softy,shaking her tenderly.

Tobiya rubbed her eyes with her tiny fists and sat up,her bed hair in all directions.

Kageyama smiled at her and chuckled lightly.

He picked her up and carried her to the living room.

"Say morning to mummy and I'll make breakfast " Kageyama said.

She didn't understand the painting,the candles,or having to say "Morning,afternoon,and goodnight" to a picture.

She did it anyway,seeing as her daddy was serious about it.

Kageyama said his "good mornings" and "I love you" to Hinata and then set breakfast down.

After breakfast,he brushed Tobiya's hair and helped her get changed for school;even though she could pretty much dress herself now.

Kageyama walked to Tobiya school everyday.He also had his father pick her up and take her home for him.

When Kageyama came home,he would receive a tight hug and a dinner made by his father.

"Thank you " he would say.

Tobiya would scream and shout until kageyama picked her up.

"Calm down!"he half-yelled,half-shouted.

"Daddy!"Tobiya smiled,latching herself onto Kageyama's legs,smiling greatly.

Kageyama rolled his eyes and smiled,bending down and giving her a kiss on the forehead and picked her up.

Tobiya laughed and smiled at him.She slid down Kageyama(making him jump)and grabbed her tablet.

Kageyama smiled and sat down with her.

His father smiled at the two,and brought dinner out.

Tobiya ate happily and got sauce,beans,and whatever else they had all down her shirt.

Kageyama's father left straight after dinner and had gone to his own house.

Kageyama washed up while Tobiya played on her tablet.She had found very good games on the app store.

Like...hmmm...Killing games.Helicopter games and...barbie.

Kageyama finished up with the washing and checked the time.Ge realised how late it was and quickly took Tobiya to the bath.

Tobiya liked her baths,just like Hinata did.

Kageyama personally loved that she had so many traits from Hinata.

Like her smile,wide,blue eyes,rounded face.

The only problem was that she was quite tall.

"This'll be fun" Kageyama thought,as Tobiya ran butt naked.

~Age 13~

Tobiya had come to terms with the fact that Hinata wasn't there.

She also knew that she must say hello,afternoon,and goodnight to him.

She was tall,slim,and her black hair quite thick.

She smiled only when she had to.

Well,she smiled around Kageyama,her friends Shoji and Tsukishima Kayla and when she won a volleyball match.

She'd been raised by a setter,so she was a setter.

She stretched and wiped her brow as she busied herself with preparing dinner for Kageyama when he came home.

Kageyama had taught her how to cook;admittedly,she was better than him.

Kageyama came in from an excruciatingly long day of work.

He sat on the sofa in a huff and flumped his head down into the pillow and groaned.

Tobiya payed no attention,busying herself more with cooking.

"Tobi,sweetie.Can you get me some painkillers and water?" Kageyama asked weakly.

Tobiya sighed and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.She pulled the painkillers from the top shelf and handed them to Kageyama.

Kageyama mumbled a "thank you" and smiled.

Tobiya smiled softly and then went back to her cooking.

They ate in peace and a comfortable silence.

~Age 16~

Tobiya came back from her volleyball tournament.

She slowly walked to her bedroom and slumped on her bed,completely forgetting to say her hello to Hinata.

Tears pricked at her eyes and threatened to trail down her thin,pale face.

She got changed into her home clothes.A grey hoodie,black tracksuit bottoms,and some thermal socks.

Winter was nearing and rain had been pattering down every couple of hours.

The mood of the weather only deepend the sorrow  Tobiya was feeling.

Her first high school volleyball match.They lost in game two.

She'd tried so hard,sweated to the point her clothes were soaked,ran to the the point her knees almost gave way,but she failed.

That failure was one that cannot be replaced by any happiness.Not even her fathers.

She closed her eyes,fell asleep quickly,and curled up above the covers.

She woke up at around nine o'clock .Tobiya had heard a voice,a light hearted,happy voice in her dream.

She had seen a short man with fluffy orange hair.He'd smiled and said something she couldn't understand.

It sounded like a ghost whisper.

But when she did open her eyes at around nine o'clock,she was being awoken by Kageyama.

"Man,I thought you'd never wake up!"Kageyama exclaimed.

Tobiya smiled gently and sighed.

Kageyama hugged her tightly."Tired out,huh?"he said.

Tobiya nodded and rubbed her red eyes,sitting up and sighing.

"I lost..."she whispered,her lips sloping into a sad mouth.

Her eyes watered and lip quivered,a small sob escaped from her slightly parted lips and she wiped her eyes with her sleeve.

Kageyama gently pulled her into his chest,slowly rested his cheek on her head.

He kept a hand gently but firmly on her back and a hand on her lower left leg.

She cried out all of the frustration she'd been feeling,as well as the feelings of being watched.

Tobiya had also fell out with her friend,Tsukishima Kayla.The feelings of loneliness had overcome her.Especially since her other friend had gone to a different high school.

She missed him.

Kageyama stroked her hair,exactly how she liked it.He whispered encouraging words into her ear,even though he too,was hurting.

When she'd calmed down,Kageyama let her go.Dinner hadn't been made;it was too late to do it.

"Do you want to order something?"Kageyama asked.

"Like what?"Tobiya asked.

"Curry?"Kageyama asked.

"Yeah!"Tobiya smiled.

After dinner,Kageyama tucked her into bed and kissed her forehead.

He went and stood on the flat balcony.

The winter wind whistled around him,spoke to him.

Like a tentacle,the cold wrapped around him.

He could've sworn he had heard Hinata's voice talking to him,telling him everything was okay,that he'd done good.

Kageyama just brushed it off,shaking his head and heading back inside.

He quietly shut the balcony doors and slipped into bed,snuggling up into the warm covers.

What they both didn't know was,standing at the bottom of the block apartment stairs was a man.

He was about 5"2-4 and had orange,messy hair.He had large,brown eyes.

He dropped a packet of half-eaten crisps on the floor.

He was mumbling something under his breath and then whispered happily "Its good to be back."

Wow.Its been awhile.So,I guess I should explain.

I didn't realise this but my GCSE'S actually start in year 9 (for English,maths,Science,and language).This means I'm super busy!!!!!Homework piles up.

I get bullied.A lot.Luckily I've been making friends on the Internet.So none of them matter.

I'm forcing myself to draw realistically for my art GCSE which I hope to start next year.

I try my best to reply to all the comments.

It's taken me 2+ months to finish this.I really can't find ideas.My English teacher is still horrible.I have like 8 drafts that I should finish but I have no ideas >•<.

While writing this I'm on the motorway to Blackpool,England.Hello if you're there.

I'll try my bestest to update once in 2 months(Yes,I'm that busy).I promise you with all my heart I put all of my effort into these one shots.

This book is almost a year old too.Less than two months!
