Taylor's P.O.V:
You don't know what you have until you lose it. You don't appreciate the things you have until they are gone. That is until your world flips upside down and changes forever.

"Come on Sis...I know you're hiding something from me" Callum teased, trying to pry everything out of me that he could.
"Uh, fine! I may.... have met someone" I say, instantly smiling as Chappo comes to mind.
"Really, what's his name???" Callum asks, sounding like a desperate 5 year old.
"His name is Christopher, but everyone at work calls him Chappo. He works as a lifeguard and we've been on 1 date" I say, giving him a minute to take in all of the information I just said.
"When can I meet him?" BOOM! And there is the protective big brother.
"Ermm...well I can see if he's free now? It's our day off and we're going out later..." I say grabbing my phone as I facetimes Callum on my iPad.
"Okay" Callum said, smiling like a idiot.
"I'm just texting him now" I say. Callum nods before getting up to grab some food and a drink.
T – Hey Chap! Are you at home? X
C – Yeah, what's up?
T – Well... I'm on facetime to my brother and he kinda knows about you and wants to meet you 😊
C – Okay. Do you want me to come over now?
T – If you can, if not you can meet him another time.
C – I'll be round in 5 x
"Chappo said he'll be round in 5 minutes. Funny enough he actually only lives like 2 houses down from me" I say, laughing as I remember the day we met.

A few minutes later, there is a knock at my front door.
"One seconds Cal. Chappo is here" I say, getting up and running to the door.
"Hey" I say, letting him in.
"Hey, you okay?" He asks, giving me a hug. Gosh! I could be in his arms all day every day!
"Yeah, you?" I ask, as we both grab a bottle of water before heading back to my room where my iPad is.
"Yeah, before we go in there. I want to apologise for anything and everything that is about to come" I say, making the both of us chuckle and we climb onto the bed.
"Callum, this is Chris. Chris, this is my brother Callum" I say, introducing them to each other.
"It's nice to meet you. By the sounds of it you've really help T settle in. I wanted to thank you for that"
"It was my pleasure. Always happy to help" Chappo says, making my heart swell.

We sit and talk for like an hour before Callum has to go as it was like 2 am there. It's now 1pm here.
"How about we go grab some lunch?" Chappo says, helping me unpack the last of my things.
"Okay... but can we go shopping afterwards? I need more summery clothes" I say, making us both chuckle. I grab my phone, purse and keys before we head out. We stop off at a café near Bondi and order some lunch.
I have a grilled cheese sandwich and a fruit salad alongside and fruit smoothie whilst Chappo has a chicken salad and a fruit smoothie.

After eating, we decided to quickly pop by the tower and drop of some goodies for the boys. We stopped off at the supermarket and I brought some sweets, biscuits and fruit. I payed and we headed to the tower. I knock on the door and hear someone shout I'll get it. A minute later, Maxi is answering the door.

"Taylor!" He shouts, and engulfs me into a bear hug.
"Hi Maxi" I say, laughing. We walk inside the tower and up to the main area. Working in the tower are Maxi and Jake.
"Hey Jake" I say, sitting down on the empty chair next to him.
"Hey guys" He says, not taking his eyes off the water. After a minute or two, there is a knock on the back door. Maxi answers it and it's a girl who has cut her leg. I help Maxi deal with the girl when suddenly Jake stands and grab a pair of binos.
"Hey Chap? Can you run down to between the flags? There's someone going under" Jake says, panicked. Chappo legs it out of the tower and sprints down to flags. He whips off his shirt before grabbing a board and paddling out to the victim.
2 minutes later he makes it to the person, pulling them up by the arm and helping them onto the board.
"Blue Rhino to Central"
"Go ahead Whippet" Jake responds.
"Is there anyone who can drop down a bottle of water. It's pretty busy down here so we can't leave"
"I'll go." I say to Jake, whilst grabbing 2 bottles of water and a packet of sweets for Whippet and Kobi.
"Yeah, someone is on their way down now"
"Copy that"
"Can I take one of these?" I ask, pointing to the spare radios.
"Yeah" I grab one and start walking down to where Whippet and Kobi are.

"Hey guys" I say, waving the water at them as I arrive at the rhino.
"Hey Taylor...isn't it your day off?" Kobi asks, as Whippet goes to do a rescue.
"Yeah, we stopped by to bring some treat – hence the sweets – and Chappo had to go and do a rescue" I say, handing him the sweets, as Whippet returns.
"Jake, is Chappo back?" I say into the radio.
"Yeah, he's heading up now"
"I'm off. See you later boys" I say, turning around and heading back up the beach. Once I arrive back at the tower and return to radio before grabbing my things. I turn to Chappo.
"Ready to go?" I ask.
"Yeah. See you guys later" Chappo says, before opening the door for me, and leading us out. We get into his car, and start shopping.

We spend the rest of the afternoon moving between shops. I buy lots and lots of new stuff from clothes to bed sheets and even some easy peel off quote stickers for my walls. When we arrive home, I invite Chappo in and we decide to order some pizza and watch a movie because we need to have an early night as we both have the early shift tomorrow. At around 9:30pm Chappo leaves.
"I had a wonderful day today...thank you" I say, hugging Chappo before he leaves. He simply responds by putting his lips on mine and kissing me...again!
"I'll see you tomorrow morning?" Chappo asks, smiling at me. Gosh! His smile is to die for!
"Yeah. Tomorrow" I say smiling as he starts to walk away. I hang up and put away all of my new clothes and accessories before I shut and lock the front door and then head to bed.

I change into my pyjamas and snuggle in bed. I put a post on Instagram, along with a picture I took, saying.

'I spent the day with the amazing person. @lifegaurdChappo, Thanks for making it one of the bests days I've had in a long time! x'

I went to bed shortly after, falling into a peaceful slumber, thinking about how the lifeguards have become like a second family to me.
