Monday, 9am
"Morning guys!" Taylor chirped, as she made her way into the tower.
"You ready for you first official day as a trainee?" Chappo asked his girlfriend as he had already been at work since 7am.
"Ready as I'll ever be" Taylor joked, as she placed her bag under the counter and grabbed her radio.
"Righto, Tom and Maxi are in the tower. Whippet is covering the flags. Chappo and Jesse are covering backpackers. Quinn and Taylor, you're covering the north end" Hoppo instructed as he gave out the morning assignments.
"Look's like you're paired with the rookie Quinn" Taylor laughed as the pair made their way out to the rhino.
"Let's hope you get do complete your first rescue today" Quinn said excitedly as they started driving down the beach to the north corner.  It wasn't long before Taylor was running into the water to assist Quinn with a double rescue.
"On my bard...like that. That's it" Taylor encourage the teenage as she climbed on Taylor's rescue board. Once the teenager was on, Taylor pushed the board around and started paddling in. Timing it perfectly, Taylor even manage to catch a wave in all the way to the beach. As they got back to the beach, the teenage thanked Taylor. After making sure the teenage was okay, Taylor placed the board back in the rack.
"Thanks again" The teenage girl said.
"No worries" Taylor responded grabbing her towel as the teenage walked off with her friend.
"Text book! Nicely done" Quinn said, high-fiving Taylor.
"Thanks" Taylor smiles, as they sat back down in the rhino.
"Well done Taylor – that was awesome for a first rescue" Maxi cheered through the radio.
"Thanks Maxi" Taylor beamed, as the biggest smile spread across her face. With a great start to her first shift, Taylor sat excitedly as she was finally happy at where she was in life.

A few weeks later...
Taylor had been working a lot over the last few weeks as her traineeship was well into swing. Enjoying every moment of it, Taylor was always happy when she was at work. As she put it - 'There's nothing better than being able to save a life both in and out of the water', to be honest, most of the lads said the same sort of thing. Taylor had started work with Chappo at 10 am that morning. Since the morning, the shift had been hectic. They had had multiple medical cases and hundreds of rescues. As they day finally started to wind down, Taylor was on tower duty with Chappo and Whippet. For the past few days Taylor constantly had something on her mind. She didn't let it show, but she had been non-stop thinking about this...and she hoped it happened soon, but for now she was slowly running out of patience of the behaviour of the boys.

6pm...
It's been a busy shift. Both Chappo and Taylor started at 10 and since then they've been doing non-stop work. Taylor has been up and down the beach multiple splitting her time between patrolling the beach and assisting on the vast influx of medical cases that they had had that day. Deciding she had had enough of everything, she finally snaps.
"Just stop it. Stop acting like buff-heads and actually work" She snaps, referring to Whippet and Chappo who have been dancing around and singing for the last hour.
"I'm going for a walk" She says, grabbing her belt and medical bag before walking out.
"Sorry I snapped..." She says, before she leaves the tower.

7:30pm – Pack up time...
After the very busy shift, Taylor makes her way down the steps and onto the beach, as all the stresses of the past few months finally catch up to her.
"Are you alright?" Chappo asked his girlfriend, finally getting a chance to speak to her a few hours after her outburst.
"I'm fine..." Taylor sighed, as she continued to organise one of the medical bags down outside the tunnel.
"No you're not...what's wrong?" Chappo asked, seeing that something was clearly on her mind. And to tell you the truth there was something on Taylor's mind.
"You know that this, everything, means the world to me. You mean the world to me Chap. I can't breathe when I'm not around you, my heart aches when we're apart. It hurts to...to function, to live without you Chappo. I need you in my life Chappo. Hell – you are my life Chappo!" Taylor says, stopping and staring him dead in the eyes.
"Taylor. You're my world, I love you. You are soo important to me..." Chappo says, stepping closer to her.
"Well then let's do something to change this..." Taylor says, taking his hand, whilst glancing back at the boys who had gathered to watch the commotion from the balcony above them as they had pretty much completed packing up the beach. Taylor gives a little nod to Whippet, who knows what's about to happen.
"What do you mean?" He responds, confused.
"I mean..." Taylor says, kneeling down on one knee.
"Marry me?" Taylor asks, with a smile. Chappo stares at her  shocked before a huge smile breaks out on his face.
"You do like to be different" He says, kneeling down next to her, making her laugh.
"Is that a yes then?" She queries.
"Yes! WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!"  Chappo shout, standing up and taking Taylor with him. The boys erupt with applause and shouting as Chappo picks her up and spins her around.
"Congratulations!" Everyone says, as everyone surround the pair. Everyone does a massive group hug thing before Whippet and Chappo get a mischievous grin on their faces.
"Don't. You. Dare!" Taylor says, glancing at the water. The boys smirk before they start to chase her. She runs away but she can't out run both Whippet and Chappo so in the end, Whippet catches up to her and throws her over his shoulder. Chappo joins in and grabs her legs to stop her from kicking Whippet as they make their way into the shallows. They move Taylor so that Whip is holding her arms and Chappo is holding her legs and they start to swing Taylor. Before she knew it, they let go and Taylor went splashing into the water. When she resurfaces, nearly everyone is laughing their heads off on the shoreline.
"You two are dead!" She screamed, running from the water.

A few minutes later, once Taylor had dried off a bit, her and some of the boys (e.g. Deano, Whippet, Tom, Jake, Harries, Harrison, Maxi, Hoppo, Ryan and Quinn), decided to go out for dinner together to celebrate. After they agreed a time and a place they all headed off their sperate ways to go home and get ready.
Taylor grabbed her bag before getting out of the car and running inside the apartment.
"Dibs on shower first" She says running into the shower.
"A) I wasn't going to argue and B) we have a spare shower" Chappo responds, making Taylor laugh as she forgot.
"Oh yeah- or we could save some water..." Taylor suggests, winking at Chappo before walking into the bathroom to turn on the shower.
"That sounds like a great idea" He responds, following Her. (You could probably guess what happened next 😊).

An hour later and the pair are making their way to the restaurant. They parked the car before making their way inside to join the others.
"Here they are!" Whippet says, as they join everyone else at the large table.
"Sorry Traffic was bad" Chappo says, as Taylor goes around to hug everyone.

A few hours later, after everyone has eaten and the evening is drawing in to a close, Taylor and Chappo decide to give a little speech.
"Ermm, I just wanted to thank everyone for coming...there will most likely be an engagement party knowing you lot but thank you all so much for coming and for being here for us." Chappo says, making everyone chuckle.
"yeah, as you know we've not had the easiest few months but with everyone's love and support we made it through and words will never be enough to say how grateful I am to all of you...I love you all" Taylor says. Everyone says goodbye to each other before making their way home. When Chappo and Taylor arrive home, they get changed for bed before locking up and snuggling down into bed together.
"You know...I need to get you a ring now..." Chappo says.
"No rush...we have plenty of time. However, I do have one condition about our wedding" I say, looking at Chappo seriously.
"Okay..."
"I want a beach wedding and nothing over the top" I say, before making myself comfy on his chest.
"Deal...sounds perfect to me. Just like you" Chappo says, giving Taylor a kiss before they slowly drift off to sleep.

A/N – The end is nearing! What do you think? I'm really sorry but this book is coming to a fast end as I'm really just not feeling it anymore and am struggling so much to update it. I don't just want to end it on a cliff-hanger/with not ending so I'll be finishing it with the next few chapters. Please let me know what you think! X
