Holly Jolly Christmas

(A/N: I wanna say sorry for putting out filler chapters because I really do have the booking down for Owen Jr, but I'm struggling to find the best matches of Owen Hart's career, both in Japan and in WWE, just so I can get an idea of how to make the matches work.

If I really can't find one that fits, I might as well go back to doing technical matches like Minoru Suzuki and all those guys, as I've done in "Red Is For Love".

For now, until I find the best matches, please be patient and please try to put up with what I got for now.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter.)

~With Owen~

Since it was Nattie's Christmas Eve party at her house, I thought it was very appropriate to look a little festive, but also have Kaori ride with me to the house.

The reason is because after our first date, I took her out to DOMU, her new favorite restaurant, and in return, I was going to invite her to my cousin's Christmas party, where my entire family was going to be at.

Also, since it was cold and freezing at night, it only makes sense for me to take the Road Runner.

Once I got dressed in some clothes, like a jacket, long sleeve shirt, jeans, and boots, I drove over to Kaori's place, where I wasn't going to expect what not only will she be wearing, but also a very early Christmas present.

Plus, the party Nattie's having is a week from Christmas Eve, so we had plenty of time before we spend time together on Christmas Eve, as I got something special for Kaori, which I'll give to her then.

When I arrived at her house, I got out, and walked up to her door, but before I could knock, she opened it to reveal her outfit for tonight and I thought she couldn't be more cute!

Kaori had every wrestler she's watched growing up on the jacket, and I saw my Uncle Bret!

Kaori: I saw this and thought of you.

Me: Well, you definitely outdid yourself because this looks fantastic.

I gave her a kiss on the cheek as we had to go, but she stopped me for some reason.

Kaori: Hold on. I have something for you, Owen.

She went back inside to give me something that was wrapped very nicely and it was heavy! Like, seriously, I didn't think it would be this heavy.

Kaori: You love riding motorcycle and I felt bad about it on first date, so this to make up for it.

I opened it, and when I opened it, I couldn't believe what was wrapped up!

A vest, with patches and a pin?!

Me: Kaori. Did you do this?!

Kaori: Hai. I had tailor customize everything, but look on back. I hope you love it.

She continued to smile as I flipped the vest over and I couldn't believe what I was seeing...

When I saw the patches, including the logo, I was ecstatic!

Me: You got all of this done, just for me?

Kaori: Hai. I knew how much motorcycles mean to you. This is what I could do.

Me: It's perfect, Kaori. Thank you.

We hugged as I was going to put the vest in the car, but she stopped me.

Kaori: Īe. (No.)

Me: What?

Kaori: Put it on. I want to see you wearing it.

I took the jacket off and put on the vest.

Damn! She must've gotten my jacket size right because it fit perfectly!

Me: It's a perfect fit.

Kaori: I figure what size you wore, so I had it custom made. Not only that, you look super handsome!

Me: Hehe, well, I do try to make the most of any outfit I have on. Let's get to the party, shall we?

Without any hesitation, I picked her up bridal style, as she squealed!

Kaori: Ah! Owen!

She laughed as I carried her to the car, laughing myself and I really wanted Kaori to know that I can be loving whenever I need to be. And I'm pretty sure this was going to make her regret a bit about getting with me, but I know she wouldn't care because she's just happy to be my girlfriend.

We got in, put our seatbelts on, and we drove to Nattie's house.

After a couple minutes, we finally made it to the house and all the freaking decorations were up!

Kaori: Wow, this look beautiful!

Me: Yeah, but not as beautiful as you.

She giggled and had to slap my shoulder playfully.

We got out of the car and walked up, but Nattie must've saw us and opened the door, which I'm fine with.

Nattie: Hey!

Me: What's up, Nattie! Merry Christmas!

Kaori: Merry Christmas!

Nattie: Come on inside!

I let Kaori go first and then me, but after Nattie closed the door, she noticed the vest!

Nattie: Wait, where'd you get this vest?

Me: From Kaori. She made it for me.

Nattie: What?!

Me: Not gonna brag, but as an early Christmas present.

Nattie: Well, it definitely looks cool.

Kaori: This to make up for retiring bike tonight.

Nattie: And I love it. Let's get to the others.

Kaori: Give us second.

Nattie: Okay.

Nattie left us and before we could go in the same room with them, Kaori flicked my forehead as I knew I made a mistake.

Me: Ow!

Kaori: Please do not do that again.

Me: I'm sorry, Kaori. It was in the moment. She had to know.

Kaori: Oi, I will forgive that, but please, never again.

Me: How about I ask for permission to talk about you with my family? How's that sound?

Kaori: Will you not brag?

Me: Hey.

I kissed her cheek before saying to her...

Me: You've known me for years and I understand the culture just enough to know the dos and don'ts, why would I wanna brag about you? Look, I learned my etiquette during my time in Japan, and I can promise you that I won't go far into it. Plus, I've had that with a couple girls before, but I gained just enough experience to learn how to be polite and respectful in the future.

Kaori: Really?

Me: Yeah. I wanted to make sure I got my etiquette correct and try not to tick any people from Japan off. Please Kaori. Do you trust me?

I smiled before I patted her head, until she grabbed my hand and threw it away from her with a giggle.

Kaori: I trust you. You very considerate about my culture, and I appreciate that. Only for tonight, you can talk about me, but if there are times you need permission, let me know.

Me: I will. Thank you, sweetheart. I love you.

Kaori: I love you too, Owen.

We smiled, kissed, and we walked into the same room with my family as they were excited to see us here, seemingly as friends, but they don't know that we're in love, so that's a huge plus.

I gave my uncles, aunts, and cousins a hug as I really enjoyed seeing Kaori talking with them.

And Nattie, she probably knows about our relationship, and I have no problem with that, only if she doesn't exploit it for everyone to see.

You see, Kaori and I are trying to keep it a secret for now. Many people want to know if we really are dating and we really are in love, but here's the thing, many Japanese people don't like to be expressive about their relationship status with the world. They just want to be private about their personal lives.

I want to do the same for Kaori's sake as I'm being private about it too, even though it's probably been hinted on NXT a couple weeks back.

I then went to talk to my Uncle Bret, who seemed happy to see Kaori again as it was awesome to see him here.

Bret: So, Owen, how's NXT so far?

Me: I have to say, it's really amazing, but I kinda miss being in the dungeon, training with you.

Bret: Really?

Me: Yeah. Probably one of the best things that's ever happened to me.

Bret: Wow. I see you got a vest now. Love the motorcycle, huh?

Me: Still do. I mean, Kaori gave this to me as an early Christmas gift, but I can't complain.

Bret: Speaking of which, are you and her—?

Me: No no no, I just brought her to the party for some fun. We're friends, but no.

Bret: Really? I thought you two would be together by now.

Me: Not really.

Bret: Alright, then.

It got quiet for a bit and I really started thinking about my dad, how I wish he was still here with my mom, my brother, and my sister.

I hated shunning them, but I paid the price of trying to keep my dad's legacy intact.

Me: I wish he was here, you know? He would've been thrilled to see us.

Bret: Yeah, I get it, Owen. I really do.

He side hugged me as I looked at a picture that Nattie put up...

Now, I didn't cry because I wanted to stay strong, and with Kaori, I told her that if I get emotional about anything, she was gonna be by my side immediately.

Luckily, I don't need her by my side right now, but the only tearjerker and time I need her is when I go up to Calgary to visit my dad's gravesite for my birthday next year.

Kaori and I got to talk with everyone and catch up with my family, including Nattie, who was being such a freaking tease about the two of us together!

After a dirty Santa game and whatnot, we went home. I dropped Kaori off at her house (I made sure to walk her up) and we planned a date for Christmas Eve, as it was just gonna be the two of us, but I have a very special gift in mind for her.

~Christmas Eve~

It was Christmas Eve and seriously, it's one of my favorite times of the year. I seriously couldn't wait for my date with Kaori.

We made the plan to see ICE. The event, not the stuff you put in drinks, where there was a "Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown" setup at Gaylord Palms in Orlando. I was really looking forward to it as I wanted to have Kaori see it for the first time, but we have to keep in mind that it was gonna be cold, so we have to wear special coats as we walk through because the winter clothes we have on, I learned, won't be enough.

Also, since it's cold, I'm retiring the bike for now, lest we get more cold, just because we're going on a date.

When I got dressed in jeans, long sleeve shirt, converse, and leather jacket, I got to the car, and drove to Kaori's house. I mean, I made sure to put on classic Christmas songs, just because it's that time of year right now.

When I finally arrived at her house, I saw her already being set to go in a cute little outfit.

I smiled, got out of the car, went to her, and hugged her as she was smiling that beautiful smile she would always have.

Me: Well, you look beautiful tonight.

Kaori: And you look handsome.

Me: I try to be. Come on, let's get going, shall we?

Kaori: Let go!

(A/N: Play this song now, as it's part of the soundtrack I put together for this story.)

We drove over to Gaylord Palms as I really can't wait to see it. We got in line as we were given the coats as we were just super excited to see the ice sculptures of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang.

Considering that was Kaori and I's childhood was built around this, as I learned while we talked a lot more before we found love for each other, I'm sure we're gonna have a fun time together.

As we walked in, there were pictures being taken from a photographer, as a way for us to take home once the tour was over.

We paid for ours as I put my arm around Kaori's shoulder, she put hers around my waist, and we smiled as the picture was taken.

I really felt happy being around Kaori. She's just the best girl I've ever met and for her to be with me of all people is something I can't get enough of.

When we walked in, this was the first thing we saw as Kaori gasped and looked on in awe...

Seeing this again really made me laugh because CB always goes to Lucy for "Psychiatric Help" for 5 cents.

From what I know, 5 cents from 1965, ironically my dad's birth year, would've been worth almost 40 cents today.

We kept moving as we looked at some of the sculptures, and the best part was that we found an ice SLIDE, where kids and adults could do together.

It didn't cost any money as it was part of the entire thing.

So, Kaori and I decided to go up there and try the slide ourselves.

We walked up the stairs and we were ready to go as Kaori sat down and I was behind her. It felt like she was shivering as I held her close to me.

Valet: Ready you two?

We nodded and we were pushed down the slide as Kaori giggled as I held onto her.

After that we got up, hugged, and went on with the tour as we saw the rest of the sculptures...

It was probably one of the best tours we've been on, considering that I LOVE Charlie Brown and Kaori had fun as well.

When it was all over, we got our picture and gave the coats back as we went on our way. We had a lot to do before we go back to my place, so we decided to go on a date, wherever she wanted to go.

We decided to go for dinner at the hotel restaurant, where I had a chicken thigh meal and Kaori had a smoked salmon. It was nice though, as Kaori and I talked about Christmas and our families.

I mean, Kaori is really sweet to talk to and for her to go out of her comfort zone is just amazing to see. I wouldn't think she would have the sense of doing this with me, but little did we know that after the meal, while walking, we would be under something.

As we walked, we held hands, just because we couldn't give one luck of a fuck about what people would think about us.

Then, we got caught in the visibility of...

Me: Hey, Kaori.

Kaori: Hai?

Me: Look up.

She saw the mistletoe above us as it was the perfect time for a little moment between the two of us.

Kaori spread her arms out as I picked her up by her waist and spun her around as she laughed! We stared into each other's eyes and we just kissed passionately.

Knowing that this was a tradition, we had to do it.

Me: Kaori, let me be plain, I really do love you. You're just one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I can't express how grateful I am for you to be by my side, even though it was a month after we reunited, after such a long time.

Kaori: Owen, that just so sweet of you to say. I love you too.

We kissed again and just hugged.

After a moment of just loving each other, we went back to my place, but once we got home, we sat down, but I had a present for Kaori, to pay her back after giving me the best before the party a couple weeks ago.

I was smiling as I gave her something that I think will make her happy.

You see, her mother passed away about a couple years ago and Kaori gave me a real picture of the two of them hanging out on Christmas or something like that.

I was actually torn about whether or not to do this present, but since I met her before she died, I know for a fact that she would've wanted me to give this to Kaori.

So, I decided to do something with the picture, that will be revealed in a little bit, and I think I did a great job with it.

I also had to copy it on a printer to make sure that I save the original because to me, if I messed with the original photo, it would've been damaged forever.

I walked up to her with it and she looked a bit confused, but she was still smiling that beautiful smile.

Kaori: Owen, korehanandesuka? (What is this?)

Me: It's better if you opened it.

Kaori: Okay.

As she began to open it, I smiled and whispered to her...

Me: Merry Christmas, Kaori.

When she finally opened it, her mouth dropped, covering it, and was tearing up.

Kaori: Is that?

Me: It is. I could tell you missed her a lot everyday, so I wanted to make sure she wasn't forgotten.

Then, I said this...

Me: She's home for Christmas, Kaori.

Kaori just tilted her head down and cried as I gave her a hug. I knew she would want her mom back, but this is how I would do it, to remind her that she's not gone.

She's with her in spirit.

After taking a moment to let out her tears, she wiped them off, and kissed me. Just because of what I've done as a gift for her.

After watching some Christmas movies, I let her sleep in my bed while I took the sofa.

Hey, it's what a gentleman would do. I didn't want her to be treated like dirt.

Overall, it was the best Christmas we've ever had as I whispered once again, as I fell asleep...

Me: Merry Christmas, Kaori. I love you.
