The story where Timothée Chalamet hears strange noises coming from the apartment above him, and decides to investigate.

besides the fact that her father disappeared when she was a young girl, ella fields had quite the normal childhood with a loving family and many friends. fairly popular at school, fairly good grades. she met her 'dream man' in her childhood friend cody and started dating early in their high schools years and everything was completely and utterly fine.

after highschool the two sweethearts moved in together in a manhattan apartment which they were able to afford through cody's father, who provided for the two so they could take all their time to study. when the two lived together for a year, tragedy struck and both his parents and twin sister died in a car accident, leaving a broken cody behind. he quite quickly found his escape in liquor and drugs and drove his and ella's relationship to the edge, it sometimes even getting physical. ella seems to not be able to leave however, as she tries to see the good in him and she feels like she's the only one who can take care of him.

one night, when cody and ella have a fierce argument in the middle of the night, they accidentally wake up timothée, who, being the kind stranger he is, decides to check up on the situation and decides to help the helpless and support ella in her struggles of letting cody go.

- cody is not a bad person! he's a good person struck by tragedy and is just deeply misguided. please make him a three dimensional character who is not only just a violent drunk. i always imagined him as this kind of arrogant but honestly sweet guy who's just incredibly broken.
