Chapter 3

The next day dawned clear and bright, a welcome break from the usual hectic pace of NXT. Y/N L/N awoke to the sound of his phone buzzing with notifications from fans and fellow wrestlers. He smiled, scrolling through the messages, but his thoughts kept drifting back to his conversation with Jazmyn Nyx from the previous night.

He decided to take a break from his usual routine and head to a nearby café that had become a favorite spot for many in the NXT roster. It was a cozy place with large windows that let in plenty of natural light, perfect for a relaxing morning.

When Y/N arrived at the café, he was greeted by the familiar aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the low hum of casual conversation. He ordered his usual—black coffee and a blueberry muffin—and took a seat by the window. As he sipped his coffee and enjoyed the quiet moment, he spotted Jazmyn walking in.

Jazmyn was dressed casually in a comfortable hoodie and jeans, her hair pulled back in a relaxed ponytail. She looked around for a moment before her eyes landed on Y/N. A smile spread across her face as she made her way over.

“Hey, Y/N,” Jazmyn greeted, sliding into the seat across from him. “Mind if I join you?”

“Not at all,” Y/N replied, returning her smile. “It’s good to see you. I didn’t expect to run into you here.”

Jazmyn laughed lightly. “I come here often when I need a break from the usual hustle. It’s nice to have a bit of downtime.”

As Jazmyn ordered her own coffee and a pastry, Y/N took the opportunity to relax and enjoy the casual conversation. There was something refreshing about this setting, far removed from the intensity of the arena and backstage area.

“So,” Y/N began, leaning back in his chair, “how did you find the match last night? You were pretty invested.”

Jazmyn chuckled. “Yeah, I was. It was an impressive performance. I’m always interested in seeing how different wrestlers handle their matches. You did great out there.”

“Thanks,” Y/N said, his cheeks reddening slightly. “I was really pumped up after talking with you. It definitely gave me an extra push.”

Jazmyn sipped her coffee, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “Glad I could help. It’s nice to see that kind of enthusiasm. Sometimes we all need a little extra motivation.”

Their conversation flowed easily, covering a range of topics from their favorite movies and TV shows to their most memorable moments in wrestling. Jazmyn’s relaxed demeanor made it easy for Y/N to open up about his experiences and aspirations. They found common ground in their love for classic movies and their mutual appreciation for good food.

As they talked, Jazmyn mentioned a recent training exercise she had been working on, and Y/N found himself intrigued. “I’ve heard about that new move you’ve been perfecting. How’s it coming along?”

Jazmyn grinned. “It’s coming together. It’s always a process, though. There are so many little details to get right. But it’s worth it when you finally nail it.”

Y/N nodded, clearly impressed. “I’d love to see it in action sometime. Maybe you can show me after practice one day.”

Jazmyn’s eyes lit up. “That sounds like a plan. I’m always up for showing off a bit.”

As their conversation continued, they grew more comfortable with each other, their laughter punctuating the relaxed atmosphere of the café. The casual setting provided a perfect backdrop for their growing friendship, allowing them to bond over shared interests and experiences.

After finishing their coffee and pastries, Y/N and Jazmyn decided to take a stroll through a nearby park. The weather was perfect, and the park’s serene environment offered a welcome escape from the usual hustle and bustle.

Walking side by side, they continued their conversation, their rapport growing more effortless with each passing minute. Jazmyn shared some funny stories from her time on the road, and Y/N recounted a few of his own mishaps and adventures. The conversation flowed naturally, and there was a comfortable ease between them that made the day feel special.

As they reached a quiet spot by a small pond, they paused to take in the view. The gentle ripple of the water and the sound of birds chirping created a peaceful ambiance, perfect for a moment of reflection.

“This is nice,” Y/N said, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. “Sometimes it’s easy to forget to slow down and enjoy these little moments.”

Jazmyn nodded in agreement. “Definitely. It’s important to take a break from the chaos and just appreciate the simpler things.”

They stood there in companionable silence for a few moments, each lost in their own thoughts. The connection they had formed felt genuine and promising, and Y/N couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment in Jazmyn’s company.

As the sun began to lower in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the park, Y/N and Jazmyn decided it was time to head back. They walked slowly, enjoying each other’s presence and the easy flow of conversation.

When they finally reached the café again, they said their goodbyes, both feeling a sense of anticipation for their next meeting. Jazmyn gave Y/N a warm hug, and he felt a genuine connection in that simple gesture.

“I had a great time today,” Jazmyn said with a smile. “Thanks for hanging out.”

“Me too,” Y/N replied, smiling back. “Let’s definitely do this again sometime.”

As they hugged and went their separate ways, Y/N felt a renewed sense of optimism and excitement. The casual day spent with Jazmyn had deepened their bond, and he looked forward to seeing where their connection might lead. The day had begun with a simple chance encounter, but it had evolved into something meaningful—a friendship that had the potential to grow into something even more special.
