As the sun rose within the kingdom, Sanemi awakened as well. He groaned as he felt his back ache after sleeping while he was sitting on a chair and letting his son sleep on the bed.
He sighed, feeling his bones heal, but it will take a while. His energy has been used up with that fight last night. He was quite surprised how much power his son had, even he didn't have that much power when he was younger.
Just as he was relaxing, a knock on the door could be heard.
"Your majesty, the princess and the prince are here." It was Tamayo. Tamayo was Sanemi's nanny when he was younger, so he sees her as his second mother. "Shall I send them in?"
"... Uh... yeah." He answered and the doors opened and two figures immediately rushed in.
The first princess, Kohana.
And the second prince, Koharu.
"Father! What was that disaster last night!? I could hear from the bottom!" Kohana exclaimed worriedly, shaking Sanemi very fast. "So, what the hell was that?!"
"Now, now, Kohana, let father be." Koharu said, taking his twin's hand off of their father. "Something must've happened. And it must be something big since the Éxi didn't tell us." Koharu gave his father a smile, hiding his true intentions and Sanemi could guess that much. Sanemi sighed, pointing to the bed. "My, my, I didn't know you had a twin, father... or could it be..."
"Our older brother?" Kohana asked, her eyes widened in surprise and shock as he saw the sleeping figure in their father's bed. "This is... he's... our brother... isn't he..?" Sanemi kept silent as he let his children be. "Does that mean... our... mother is here too?! Where is she!? I want to meet mother too!"
Kohana's tone was so bright and cheerful as she took her twin brother's hand, asking if he too was excited to meet their mother. But Koharu just gave her a smile. He didn't want to break his sister's heart.
Because he knew, he knew the agreement. The agreement that was talked about in a closed-off room with only the two kings speaking.
"Father... this shouldn't be happening... should it?" Koharu asked, his eyes examining his father with suspicion and doubt. "The contract said you had to wait eighteen years. There are still three more years, father."
"Who cares about the contract!" Kohana exclaimed, crossing her arms and baring her sharp teeth at her brother. "If brother is here then mother is also here! I don't give a fuck about the fucking contract! I just want mother!"
"Sister, you felt those powerful magic last night, didn't you?" He asked, glaring at his sister. His gaze then turned to their father. "He came here under different... circumstances, didn't he?"
"...I'll hold a meeting later on. Come if you want. Leave before he wakes up." He lazily said, standing up from the chair, passing by his children and exiting his room in frustration.
"Hey... what does father mean..?" Kohana asked, her eyes glued on the place where their father was sitting just now. "...oldest brother is here... shouldn't he be happy..?"
"Sis... I..." He paused, biting his tongue and refraining himself from speaking any further. "I guess we'll see at the meeting..."
The twins then turned to the figure on the bed, curious and cautious. They examined his white hair. It looked exactly like their father's and it was the same color as theirs, except theirs didn't have that fluff and volume. He also seemed quite tol, but his skin was still young.
They knew he was three years older than them, so it was a surprise to see him so tall already.
"Hey, do you think I can be as tall as him." Kohana asked, poking the sleeping boy's hair. 'It's so fluffy...'
"Highly doubt it." Koharu answered without hesitation, gaining a light punch from his sister. "What? I was only telling the truth..."
The twins began to bicker, throwing insults left and right. Completely forgetting the figure on the bed.
Shiro began to stir awake, he could hear voices he couldn't recognise. The bed he was in seemed so comfortable and nice that he didn't want to get up yet. But he had training to do.
'Training? I went to...' He sighed internally remembering where he was. He went and confronted his father, the demon king. It didn't go the way he wanted. Instead of finally ending the demon that killed his mother, he got more and more puzzle pieces.
"Honestly! Why can't you be just like mother!? Father always said that she's nice and lady-like! You're like an untamed gorilla!"
"Oh so I'm the gorilla!? Excuse me if I'm physically stronger than you nerd! All you do is bury your face in a book and never leave the castle to hunt!"
"We're not even allowed outside!! Don't forget what father tells us, Kohana!"
"Oh so we're using names now huh, Koharu!?"
The two of them bickered and bickered, leaving Shiro to wonder who they were. In some sense they seemed familiar. Their hair was the same color as him and the king.
"Princess, prince, the king is waiting for you." The door opened and Shiro slowly glanced over to see who it was. It was the same woman who put him to sleep last night. "Oh, Prince Shiro is awake."
The boy and the girl seemed to freeze in their spot as they looked down. And indeed, Shiro was awake and staring directly at them.
'Prince... Did they mean me?' Shiro asked himself. 'But she called them princess and prince... does that mean...' He clicked his tongue as he stood up, stumbling a bit but standing back up before the two caught him. "Where the hell is that Arjun?"
"Uh... the king is at the dining hall with-"
Tamayo couldn't finish her sentence as Shiro marched right past her to look for his father. The twins gasped and quickly followed.
"Brother, where are you going!?" Kohana called, taking hold of her dress and following after him, Koharu right behind her. Shiro ignored them and kept running in the castle. "Dammit!"
"This is why you should practice magic!" Koharu exclaimed, scooping his sister up and using his magic to fly to catch up. "DON'T JUST CLING TO ME!! USE YOUR MAGIC!"
Shiro panted as he also used his magic, using it to boost his speed and avoid the two people that's been chasing him for a while. He didn't know the layout of the place, but thanks to his senses, he could sniff out where the king was.
And the king's scent was very powerful since he was the most powerful demon within the palace. Shiro finally arrived at where the magic came from and he bust the door open, gaining everyone's attention.
"Ah! The prince is awake!" The girl with long black hair cheered, waving at the boy. But she was ignored as Shiro stomped over to his father's seat.
"You piece of shit!" Shiro raised his fist and made complete contact with the king's face, making him fall from his chair. Everyone gasped in horror when they saw Sanemi fall, but none of them can act just yet. In front of them are royalty and they have no place to speak. "You know... I was actually thinking of listening to you..."
"Shiro, what are you doing!?" Koichi exclaimed, standing up from his seat and stepping between him and the king. "Why did you punch him!?"
"Tch. So what?" Shiro glared at the man that was starting to stand up, his bleeding face going back to normal within seconds. "You fucking ass... and here I thought I could trust you... you love my mother? TELL THAT TO YOUR KIDS THEN!!"
Just on time, the twins arrived in the dining hall, Koharu placing Kohana down gently.
"You two..." Sanemi clicked his tongue, glancing over his two children. "Why didn't you leave?"
"DON'T FUCKING IGNORE ME!!" The whole room began to get windy by the second, but it was shut down by Sanemi's magic.
"Shiro! Stop!" Yuichiro and Muichiro stood besides him, holding his arm. "Sanemi didn't do anything!! Just listen to what he says first!"
"Well what the hell is it!?"
"Those two..." Sanemi began as he glanced over the twins on the back. "Are your brother and sister. Full. I didn't do anything with another woman whatsoever."
"Like hell I'll believe that." Shiro spat. He knew how basic biology worked. He knows that it takes a mother and a father to make kids, he learned that with Michikatsu. "I don't remember my mother giving birth to twins. And if she did, I would know."
"We're not made the normal way." Koharu stepped up and spoke. "But... we really are from mother as well... please believe our father. He's telling the truth."
Shiro looked back behind him to meet eyes with 'his younger brother', his gaze was sharp but Koharu didn't back down. He really was telling the truth.
"That's for another time. Why don't you three take a seat." Sanemi said, motioning to the table. "After breakfast, we'll have a meeting."
