Faith

Faith

What is faith?

To believe, without any trace or hint of doubt. To trust, with eyes closed, is faith.

Almost everyone has faith in different things and in a variety of people. But faith in Lord, is something that most people are neglectful of or more aptly they care 'less' about it or are careless when it comes to it.

I have seen people depend on love even when it is rare, ive seen people depend on a human, even though we know he is departing, but we neglect our Lord even though we know that He is Omnipotent (having unlimited power).

So first things first, lets begin with why we believe, in any God in general? What makes us want to believe?

Ummm...i would say "our parents. Duh!!!"

Some of them tell us, some show us, some make us and the rest force us.

There are only a few LOOKING at whom we WANT TO believe.

We shouldn't worry that children never listen to us, we should worry that they are always watching us, so whatever we want our childrens to be tomorrow, we should be that person today.

The basic thing is, that everything around us, including 'US' had to be made by someone?

There is the theory of evolution of species, which states that man evolved from monkeys. But its just a theory, there is no proof to strengthen it, no proof to make it a fact.

But even IF man evolved from monkeys, where did a monkey come from?

Someone, someone powerful, had to make it?

People named this powerful someone, God. Scientists need proofs to state otherwise.

The Christians and the Muslims and the Jews, to name a few, have proof that God exists.

Where? In their Holy books.

What if man wrote it himself, and called it work of God?

Umm...well yeah thats surely a possibility, but till date not even a single human have been able to find even a single mistake in the Holy Quran.

And we all know that EVERY HUMAN makes mistakes, no matter how much of a genius he/she is. A spelling error, a grammatical mistake, wrong calculation, i mean something!!! But the Holy Quran doesn't have one. Subhaan Allah.

The other Holy books, as per my knowledge, have been edited (for lack of a better word), but a simple fact remains, that Gods books, be it Bible or Gospel or Qur'an, they all have similar teachings.

Oneness of Lord

The Holy Bible

Deuteronomy 6:4 - Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD:

The Holy Quran

Chapter 3, Al-Imraan, verse 18, God says,

"God bears witness that there is no God but He, as do the angels, and those possessed of knowledge. Upholding justice; there is no God but HIM, the Almighty, the Fount of Wisdom (Al-Hakeem)".

Quran 112:1-4

Say (O Muhammad): He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, The Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; and there is none like unto Him.”

The Qur’an and Bible strongly agree that only One God exists and should be worshiped. In both books, idolatry is the greatest sin. Both Abraham in the Qur’an and Jeremiah in the Bible argue the logic of not worshiping a speechless idol whom a human creates, as the creator or someone with wisdom.

Abraham Promised a Son

See Genesis 18:1-15, 22:1-20 and 11 .69-74, 15.51-56, Surah 37 102-109, and 51.24-30. There are no contradictions between the texts, though each scripture contains some minor, unique details.

Jonah and the whale

The story of Jonah and the whale appears in the whole of the book of Jonah in the Bible. It appears three times in the Qur’an: in verses 139-148 of Sura 37: as Saffat (Those Ranged In Ranks), verses 87-88 of Sura 21: al-Anbiya’ (The Prophets) and verses 48-50 of Sura 68: al-Qalam (The Pen) /Nun. It is mentioned in verse 98 of Sura 10: Yunus (Jonah) and verse 86 of Sura 6: al-An’am (The Cattle).

Now coming on to the next thing, which is, what makes us WANT to believe?

Seeing the sincerity of a believer, reading the word of God and the gentle ways of the Prophets.

Holy Quran 22:46

It is not the eyes that are blind  but the hearts.

God is One, but religions are made by the people, and they are many.

People are either Muslims, Christians, Jews etc, etc, etc. But they all state that GOD IS ONE.

A funeral processing passed in front of Prophet Mohammed pbuh and he stood up. When he was told by the people that it was the coffin of a Jew, he said, "was he not a human being?"

[Bukhari 23, Hadith 399]

People have corrupted this world, not religion.

Believe in the Oneness of Lord.Worship the creator NOT His creations. Understand that the Holy Books and the teachings of the Prophets are rules to be followed, to live peacefully.

Prayer is not a spare wheel which you pull out when your in trouble, its a steering wheel that directs the right path through out life.

And one thing ive learned so far, is the fact that, if you pray only when your in trouble ....  Ur in trouble.

The graveyards are filled with people who wanted to believe in their old age. And you know what the trouble is? Its that we think that we have time.

Just imagine going to sleep without praying and then waking up in your grave.

Somewhere along the line, we all forgot a simple fact, that this world was a place of punishment for Adam pbuh and yet we cannot stop chasing it.

Man is such a coward that a dream can scare him, yet he can be so bold that Allah wont frighten him.

Faith doesn't come by itself, you have to BELIEVE, you have to TRUST, but instead of the CREATIONS have FAITH in the CREATOR.

You know, having faith is the most beautiful feeling. When you prostrate infront of Allah, its a feeling words fail to express. He listens to us, He understands us, He is always there for us.

Dont loose yourself in this world, its made to perish. Loose yourself in your Lord, only then you can fully enjoy yourself in this world while paving a path towards the Hereafter.

Faith is understanding that " no matter what, my Lord wants the best for me because when you loose faith in Him that's where the trouble begins, you loose everyone in your life."

There was a clear path that you couldn't see for so long, and that way is now visible, when you believe in HIM.

Thats faith..

You will see it, when you start believing in it. And its the most beautiful and magical feeling subhaan Allah. And once you feel it, once you start believing it, trust me when i say that, you would get addicted to it like a drug, but in a good way. Your heart will swell with peace, contentment and patience. InSha Allah.

And i guess its heigh time that i invite all Non-Muslims on behalf of the Ummah (global community of all Muslim believer) of Prophet Mohammed pbuh to Islamic Monotheism the fundamental message all Prophets came with and the only true religion of God.

For a religion to be true, the religion should have come from God, revealed through one of the Angels to one of His Messengers, to convey it to mankind because a true religion is the religion of God and God is the One Who will judge mankind and bring them to account on the Day of Resurrection according to the religion which He revealed to them.

God says in the Quran:

“Verily, We have sent the Revelation to you (O Muhammad) as We sent the Revelation to Nooh (Noah) and the Prophets after him; We (also) sent the Revelation to Ibraaheem (Abraham), Ismaa’eel (Ishmael), Ishaaq (Isaac), Ya’qoob (Jacob), and ‘Eesa (Jesus), Ayyoob (Job), Yoonus (Jonah), Haaroon (Aaron), and Sulaymaan (Solomon); and to Dawood (David) We gave the Zaboor (Psalms)”

Have faith that Allah never breaks His promise. And the righteous have been Promised Paradise, like the way the hypocrites and idol worshipers have been Promised Hell Fire.

Four unbreakable promises from Allah.

i) Surah Baqara 152

'So remember Me, I will remember you.'

ii) Surah Ibrahim 7

'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you (in favour).'

iii) Surah Ghafir 60

'Call upon me, I will respond to you.'

iv) Surah Al-Anfal 33

'... and Allah will not punish them while they seek forgiveness.'

Even though we break our promise with our Lord, remember He will never break His.

The Noble Qur'an - Al-Anfal 8:38

Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven. But if they return (thereto), then the examples of those (punished) before them have already preceded (as a warning).

This basically states that, all the past sins of a disbeliever will be forgiven, as soon as he believes.

The only words he has to say is

La ilaha ila Allah; Muhammadur-rasul Allah. 'There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.'

"Worship the Creator - Not His Creations."
