Dick pov

I wake up from another nightmare and being to cry for Bruce.

"Daddy! Daddy!" I scream for him.

I curl in a tiny ball under the covers. I keep seeing the monsters in my room. Suddenly the door is opened and daddy is now in bed with me. He wraps his arms around me tightly and shushes me quietly.

"It's ok Dickie. Daddy's here. It's ok." He soothes to me.

I cry until my throat hurts. Even then I still cry. I keep seeing the monsters around me and daddy in the room. I remember what mommy said when she gave me Peanut, my stuffed colorful toy elephant circus. She said that the monsters would leave me alone if I had Peanut to protect me since the monster were afraid of him. I want Peanut to hold so I look for him on the bed and floor from daddy's chest. I realize that the monster got him and I cry louder.

"Sh. Sh. Dickie it's ok. I'm right here. Tell me what's wrong." Daddy says to my while stoking my cheek with his free hand while the other arm held me tightly.

"I want Peanut!" I scream to him while sobbing in him chest.

"Dickie I don't know what a "Peanut" is. Can you give me a hint on what it is?" He explains.

"I need them to stop. Make them go away!" I beg while wiggling out of his embrace and run to look for Peanut.

"Dickie wait!" Dad screams after me.

I flip down the banister and look for him in the living room. I don't find him there. I look in the kitchen and I still don't find him. I give up and sit on the floor and cry. I see dad run to me and cradles me in his arms.

"Dickie what are you looking for? What do you want me to make go away?" He asks.

"I think that the young master is looking for this." Alfred says while showing Peanut that was behind his back.

"Peanut!" I shout while taking him in my arms.

I cradle him tightly and whisper soothing words to him in Romanian. I squeeze him tightly and look up at Alfred.

"Thank you Alfred. I would have never found him." I thank him while hugging his legs.

"It is not a problem master Dick. I should have told you that I was going to wash it for you. The blasted machine keeps stopping in the middle of the wash. That is why it took so long. I am deeply sorry master Dick for the scare I gave you." Alfred apologizes while patting my head.

"Daddy can we sleep with you?" I ask while looking at him then Peanut.

"Of course buddy." Dad says while carrying me to bed.

"Sweet dreams Dickie." Dad says as he lays me down to sleep.

"Sweet dreams daddy." I yawn to him while cuddling my Peanut close to me.

"Sweet dreams Peanut." I whisper to Peanut as I fall in total sleep.
