So, we all have powers. we ran away from school, parents , police. That's unheard of  in my town. We were now considered punks, rebels, freaks, we were the bad kids. 'Oh, stay away from the surreals.' they would say. Everyday I would have to worry about being caught. 'What would happen if we got caught? 'I thought My friends to me not to worry, I mean, man against elements right?

"I'm going hunting!"Jack yelled.

"I'm going with!" Blaze replied. We don't have any weapons, so I assumed they were using powers.

"I want to come!" Icess yelled.

"Ok, I'll stay here." I said. I watched them disappear into the fog of the forest. I sat on the log by the fire. 

'Okay I'm here by myself. Jeez,I hope they come back soon l don't want to be alone now. With the police and even scarier, my mom' I thought. I shivered as I realized how cold I was.

"Take heed of the Grim Brute" the air spoke.

"What? the Gim Boot?"I asked

"futile mortal" The voice said

"Please speak English" I said to the air. 

"I am the Grim brute! Now follow me!"

"No!" I yelled at the air. All of a sudden a dark black shadow creature slinked toward me.

"Don't disregard me." the shadow said. he was hard to see on a cloudy south dakota night. I could only see his outline and his red glowing eyes.

"Do you want to witness what happened to the last person who defied me?" he started to wave his hand, I tried to grab it. My hand went right through. his red eyes narrowed. A big black cloud of smoke swirled around me, then an image, no a video like thingy. There was the grim brute, and a boy. The boy looked fearful, the grim brute however looked mad. The boy said something and grim's eyes narrowed. The grim snapped his fingers and the boy disappeared. the cloud of smoke disappeared around me. the grim looked at me and extended his hand, I took it.
