"Kid never trust someone who wears a giant hat. You never know what they could be hiding in it." Jinx gives a suspicious glare to her little girl who in return gives one back with a giggle.

"This is no time for giggling! This is serious! Always be suspicious of an unnecessary hat!" Jinx even lowered herself down to Lilith's level to make her point, "Always."

The little girl thought for a moment before making a single nod and she watched as a huge grin broke out on her mama's face.

"You know who wears a huge hat for no reason don't you?"

Not even 3 seconds later there was a loud gasp.

"Sweetie, what's wrong? Why do you keep glaring at me like that?" Caitlyn couldn't even get close to the 6-year-old, she just kept glaring and whenever she started to get close she would take off running in a different direction.

"Vi? Did something happen? Or did I do something to upset her?"

"Babe you just got in from work, of course not." Vi walked in to see what the problem was but only blinked in confusion while watching the new interaction between the two.

"She's been running from me since I came in, I had to have done something." Caitlyn stood in place with her hands on her hips and Vi let out a chuckle.

"Maybe it's a new game she's playing." She suggested but her girlfriend gave her a look and she knew it probably wasn't correct. Naturally, Cait and Lilith just didn't have a playful relationship. They were more serious with each other. Lilith and Vi on the other hand would occasionally joke around, but Caitlyn preferred to stay out of it and to be viewed as the more responsible one.

"Okay, I have an idea." Vi waved her hands for the other to wait a few seconds before taking her place in chasing after the kid. Lilith only continued running for a few seconds before she realized it wasn't her original chaser so she turned to her.

"Why are you chasing me?" She asked suspiciously but Vi only grinned while Caitlyn was finally able to grab her from behind, though it only caused the little girl to let out a quick scream and thrashed around.

"What's wrong with you today!?"

"I don't trust you! I don't trust you or your big stupid hat!" She yelled and Cait dropped Lilith in surprise, luckily Vi was able to catch her before she hit the floor with her reflexes.

Vi gave out a deep sigh and looked their kid in the eyes, "Did Jinx tell you that?"

She was quiet for a few seconds, "You're not my mama, I don't have to tell you."

Caitlyn let out a groan. "Why must she make this so difficult."

Vi let the girl down before she stood back up and turned to her girlfriend, "Let me handle this, I'll call Jinx now." She then gave Cait a quick peck before going into the other room where she had left her phone.

The girl gave a glance back to Caitlyn that easily turned into another glare before she scurried off after Vi.

Vi held the phone in her hands but didn't move to make a call, she was staring down at her.

"I dunno if I should let you talk to Jinx right now, you were pretty mean to my girlfriend back there."

Her jaw dropped and she stared for a while longer before she realized Vi might be serious when she didn't move to make the call.

"She's my mama, I can talk to her whenever I want!"

"Maybe, if you had a phone you could... but sadly you have to wait for us to call since you don't."

Lilith glared and grit her teeth together. "You're irritating."

"Ohh where'd you hear that word? It's a pretty big one don't ya think?"

"Stop mocking me!"

Vi chuckled, "I wasn't though."

"You know, I'll call your mama if you ask nicely." The girl's eyes widened and she bit her lip. She could talk to mama at the price of her pride? That was okay, right?

"Please... call mama?" Her face was flushed and Vi grinned down at her before lightly patting her head.

"Of course." While Vi would've loved to tease her more she knew it would just make Lilith more distrustful of them or less likely to actually as for things she wanted. This seemed like a good way to help her know that asking for things was good and okay to do.

She then called her sister but before she could say anything as soon as Jinx's voice was heard on the other line the 6-year-old snatched the phone and ran away.

Vi was surprised for a second but as soon as she realized what happened she bolted after her. "Get back here you phone thief!" She didn't even bother trying to explain herself when Caitlyn stared at them running around with a confused face.
