If I said I wasn't disappointed that Usopp managed to make a boat, I would be a liar. Though it is helpful and I recognize that we need it, I had enjoyed teasing the swordsman. When Luffy and Robin had made the proposition of us devil fruit users using the none devil fruit users to get across I found the whole idea hilarious. Then the realization came to me that I could give Zoro a hard time, as Luffy stated he would swim with Zoro.

The red on Zoro's face was beyond entertaining.

Nevertheless Usopp pulled though and made a banana boat for us to sail on to the other side. It put an end to my teasing, and Zoro has since then returned to normal color, and my entertainment has ended.

As we neared the other side of the island I could immediately sense the change in the air. It wasn't just the rapid temperature dropping, though that was a clear sign, but the air molecules itself changed. I hadn't felt such a rapid change in the air like that before, not even sailing the crazy seas. It was like the temperature was literally split into two.

Of course things can't just be easy. When we got close to the land a bunch of hybrid centaurs began shooting at us, trying to sink our boat. Luffy had held us back from attacking immediately because he had wanted to try and be friends first.

Needless to say, our boat sank.

As a devil fruit user, the ocean already takes every ounce of energy out of you and you sink like a damn rock. Basically, plunging into water overall sucks. Now, add in ice cold freezing water, which shocks the shit out of your whole body and you feel like pins and needles are stabbing at you while your body tries to sink and you have my current dilemma.

Thankfully, Zoro came to the rescue.

Usopp, who had been closest to Robin, had grabbed her before she could sink. While Luffy and I had been grabbed by Zoro. At the very least, I'm grateful I wasn't being held by my mouth as he was holding Luffy, as that would have been very uncomfortable.

"I wasn't expecting to be fired on in the middle of the lake." Zoro huffed, kicking his legs as he tried to keep the three of us above water without using his arms.

"We had time to stwike back, Wuffy!" Usopp shivered, "Bud nooo, you wadded to be 'fwends'!"

Luffy mumbled an apology and not wanting to be friends anymore. I'm rather impressed he didn't bite Zoro's hand while saying that either.

"I'm gonna slice them to pieces!" Zoro exclaimed, then frowned.

"Usopp can't hold three people." I mumbled, shivering as the cold bit into my bones. The longer we're here, the more I'm disliking this place.  Zoro nodded in agreement. "He can probably hold Luffy and Robin for a moment."

Zoro looked at me, "You're missing a devil fruit user."

I nodded weakly. "Yeah, me. Toss me in the air, I should gain my strength back enough to form a surface to stand on. Then you can get out of the water as well and attack. I'll have to concentrate harder, but I should be able to hold both of us up in the air."

"Ready!! Aim!!"

He nodded at me, "If you're sure you can." Luffy was handed over to Usopp and Zoro got a better grip on me. Had I not been freezing, submerged in water, and overall quite pissed about the whole situation, I may have made some kind of comment to see if he would blush.

Again, my luck hit. Instead of being thrown in the air, a hard tug to my foot and I was sent under the water. Before I shut my eyes I managed to see Zoro being dragged underwater as well.

Who could have suspected we would get ourselves into this situation?

Most likely everyone else.

Thankfully while I was starting to fade out and drown, I could feel swift movement in the water. Which clearly had to mean that Zoro was slicing up the sharks. Which also meant I wouldn't be drowning for long.

My eyes shot open and I immediately turned over as water shot out of my mouth and nose as burning coughs escaped me. A hand patted my back as I continued to gasp for air and another coughing fit escaped me with just a little more water escaping my lungs. When my coughing settled I realized I was lying on snow covered ground and frost was beginning to cover my body. Even my hair, which was wet was now frozen solid making it stick up in a strange fashion.

"Holy shit..." I mumbled, sniffling and looking up. Luffy was squatting in front of me with a frown on his face as he looked at me, and Robin was the one behind me that had been patting my back. "It's really fucking cold."

"I'm supposed to be carrying you." Luffy grumbled, "Now Chopper's gonna be mad."

"I won't tell if you don't." I offered, a heavy shiver escaping my now that the cold was really beginning to seep into my bones.

"We're rather lucky," Robin commented, turning to look behind us. I followed her gaze and locked eyes with the people who had been shooting at us. "They seem to have some warm clothes."

"Let's steal them." I stated, my lips curling into a snarl. "Then dump them in the water for the fucking sharks to eat."

Zoro snorted from beside us, "I cut up all the sharks, but I like where you're going with those thoughts."

"Let them drown then." I corrected, "And freeze." I sniffed again and wiped my nose to try to regain some warmth somewhere.

Standing up I locked eyes with one centaur which was wearing a white coat with some fluff around the neck. The woman appeared to freeze when she locked eyes with me before pulling out a snail and began speaking into it. I didn't get to make out really anything from what she said as my crew began talking about how warm they all looked in their coats.

Another freezing breeze blew towards us, but I held out my hand and stopped the wind from hitting us any further. Though it was still incredibly cold, it was slightly more bearable without the wind.

The four of us all moved at the same time. Zoro and Luffy charging forward, Zoro with his swords, and Luffy with his fists. Robin's arms crossed as she locked eyes with another centaur and limbs began to grow on them.

Meanwhile I lifted my hand, concentrating as I felt for the air around the female I had locked eyes with. Then I clenched my hand into a fist, watching as her eyes widened and she felt at her throat. She locked eyes with me again and began charging at me, but the closer she got the more I could sense the air around her. With her charging at me and me suffocating her, it only took a few more seconds before she collapsed.

I released the control over the air and walked over towards her, my fan resting in my hand. As I knelt down beside her to take her coat, I quickly covered my fan in haki and jabbed down at her weapon that tried to attack me. Her gun shattered from the force of my jab alone, then I continued my arm downwards onto her head, knocking her out this time.

Sighing I took her coat and quickly put it on. My body had mostly numbed, this time from the cold rather than my body adjusting to pain, but I could already feel the warmth starting to return. It would have been perfect if I had some kind of control over temperature.

"This is stupid." I groaned, plopping my head on Luffy's shoulder. "We're not even walking on the snow!"

"Chopper's orders." Was all Luffy responded with.

After we all secured coats Luffy had, in an easy way of saying, threatened their captain to be our 'ride'. I do admit, it was easier being able to travel this way as we didn't have to walk. However, my annoyance came in when Luffy decided I needed to piggy back again. He didn't want to chance running into Chopper and getting caught.

"Luffy, listen." I poked his cheek, making him glance towards me. "Chopper only said when we're walking. We aren't walking right now. Plus, this thing stuck to your back in disgusting. I promise if we do walk I won't be fussy and will piggy back, and if Chopper says anything I'll take the blame..." I frowned at him when he didn't really seem to change his mind and continued to stare at me with a blank face. "I'll... give you half of my meat?"

His eyes widened and he looked up for a moment before nodding. "Fine. But!" He held up a hand to make me pause as I was already starting to move away. "If we start walking then you have to get back on my back, Chopper's orders!"

"Sure thing, Captain!" I grinned, hopping off of Luffy's perch and joining the others. Brook, who had managed to meet us with us while we- I was drowning, had also stolen a coat though he really didn't need one as he was just bones.

Zoro glanced down at me with a smirk, "I see you managed to convince Luffy to let you be free."

I nodded and scooted closer to him as I sensed the air vibrating warmer. He rose an eyebrow as I practically leaned against him. Looking up at him I rose my own eyebrow in question to his look.

"Why are you so close? We're not going to take a nap right now." Zoro sighed, "Chances are we'll be attacked so taking a nap just wouldn't be smart."

"No, though a nap does sound nice." I commented before shaking my head. "You're warmer, and I still feel cold.-"

"Probably because you aren't wearing shoes." He added, gaining a scowl from me. "At the very least you could wear socks."

"Disgusting." I spat, sticking out my tongue and shaking my head.

Zoro sighed, though I noticed a smirk on his face. "You're such a child."

"Is that a battleship?" I looked up at Luffy's voice just as he spoke louder. "It is a battleship!"

I sat up and began looking around for said battleship that Luffy was talking about, but instead I noticed a different figure.

"Does that mean the navy is here?!" Usopp cried, sitting up to get a better look.

I blinked, standing up as I recognized the figure. A grin started to form on my face and I hopped up on the Centaur's head where Luffy sat.

"Law!" I shouted, waving at the man. "Hey! Long time no see!"

"Eh? That weird doctor?" Zoro mumbled, looking up at me with a frown.

"Ah, my best friend doctor." I corrected, grinning at Zoro before looking back towards Law who looked as if he was sighing. "Law!!"

Sorry for the long wait! Between being busy, then coming down sick, getting better, and coming down sick again I haven't had the chance to write. Though I'm still a bit sick, I feel like respiratory infections take forever to get rid of, I made sure to take time today to be able to get some chapters written. I hope ya'll enjoyed this chapter!

I was thinking of doing a valentines day special today, but ya'll likely wouldn't care much for a special and would most likely want another chapter... I can try for two chapters today, but no promises as I do need to update at least two other stories as well.
