There were some things I had grown to accept growing up. One of those things being that pirates will generally always be seen as the bad guys. It did not matter if said pirate was actually doing good, they were always to be seen as bad, as Mamoru had explained it. He made sure to keep that in my head as I wanted to follow the lifestyle of a pirate.

It was his way of preparing me for the future. For when I am a pirate and even if I do happen to actually help someone, people will still blame me, or my crew, for whatever bad did happen. It was inevitable.

So when I heard the fishmen cheering for Luffy, I couldn't stop the grin that pulled at my lips. This hit the category of something I never thought would happen. The whole idea was that we were supposed to be the fall guys for the government.

This moment was something I wish Mamoru could see. It might have actually made the cranky old man smile.

"Nami! I went and saved those idiots!" Sanji sang, dancing around Nami as she hit Brook over the head. "Do you love me now?!"

The poor Chef didn't get a response from me earlier when he tried to claim the same thing.

"Liar." Zoro snapped, glaring at Sanji. "We were waiting for you at the entrance."

I grinned, walking over to Zoro. "They finally listened to you for directions, huh?"

He looked at me, a smirk growing on his face. "Definitely."

We're such liars.

My attention drew to Franky, who was cheering about two new weapons. I nudged Zoro excitably, gaining a curious look from the swordsman.

"I can't wait to see Franky's designs! Those are always real works of art!" I squealed, practically shaking Zoro.

His lips tugged up in amusement at me, "Oh yeah?"

Pausing I looked over at the Fishmen glaring down at us. They either were just quiet, or we ended up completely ignoring anything they've said.

"Straw Hat! Get them!" The crowd of civilians demanded.

I frowned, resting a hand on my hip. "It sounds like they're trying to give us orders."

A pat on my shoulder made me look up to see Robin smiling in amusement. "They're only cheering him on."

The ground vibrated as debris filled the air. A large figure had busted through the debris which Luffy had kicked the fishman into. "Vander Decken is completely useless!"

The mention of Vander Decken brought a scowl to my face. Neither him, nor Hody, were in a safe place with me. I wanted nothing more than to beat them then suffocate them. Then repeat.

Hody had pissed me off by messing with me crew members. The only reason I won't be stepping in is because I know Luffy will serve a successful beat down.

Vander Decken, however, is still on my own beat down list.

"You played me for a fool, Jimbei!" Hody glared at the Fishman standing beside my crew. "I should have realized it the moment you were captured so easily!"

I almost sighed out loud in annoyance. Hody's only making himself look more stupid the longer he explains his, quite idiotic, mistake. If I was being honest, I had been skeptical of Hody falling for Jimbei's plan.

In the end, I was proved wrong and Hody was proved an idiot.

"You're obviously friends with these humans!" Hody shouted angrily, disgust lacing his tone. "I hate traitors like you more than anything in the world!"

"You grew up in Fish man district with Fisher Tiger and your oath brother Arlong! And they were both taken down by humans!" Hody preached as Jimbei stayed silent. "Now you chose to side with humans instead of avenging your brethren?! You're a coward, just like Neptune!"

Hody was still going on. Bragging about his plans to kill all the kings in the world once he becomes king.

Isn't he a dreamer?

"I'll drag all the humans underwater and make them our slaves! Soon no one will dare defy the fishmen! It'll be the same in the pirate world!" He held out his arm towards the large group of fishmen pirates who glared at us. "Look at all these ferocious pirates! This is your future, Straw Hat!"

I glanced over the pirates we would be fighting soon. One of them was a tall lanky Fishman with a yellow tone to his skin. His head was quite round, and big round white glasses with purple lenses covered his eyes. His hair reminded me of Brook, as it was simply a big afro, though not as big as Brook's. Yeah, he definitely looks ferocious.

"This guy is really annoying." I muttered with a sigh.

"I alone am fit to be the true Pirate King!" Hody bellowed.

I practically snorted and rolled my eyes. There was only one true spot for pirate king. One spot which will only sit Luffy. Someone like Hody only deserves to sit back and watch as Luffy rises to the top.

"Ja ha ha ha! Look at you!" Hody mocked, "What can you do with your measly little crew of eleven?! We have 100,000 on our side!" Then he shoved his arms forward. "Get them! New Fish Men Pirates!"

I opened my fans and rolled my eyes. "Clearly this guy doesn't know the best crew in the New World has less members." My voice was mostly drowned out by the roaring of the pirates charging at us.

Though Sanji and Zoro had heard me, both giving me a questioning look. I rolled my eyes at them and answered simply, "The Emerald Pirates, duh." They nodded slowly, one seeming to understand better than the other. "This is one of those quality over quantity times, right?"

Zoro grinned at me as well as Sanji. "We just need to clobber a bit over 9,000 a piece."

Looking at Luffy I felt myself grin. I knew what he was about to do, the rising tenseness in the air was far too familiar. Having been around Sato and Shanks I've learned to feel that particular shift in the air.

"Maybe less." I muttered just before Luffy sent out a wave of haki. Fishmen began instantly falling to the ground unconscious. "They're almost all bad quality."

The pirates began crying out in shock. Apparently they've never seen Conqueror's Haki in action before.

"I knew he had it in him!" Sanji grinned.

"He'd better be able to do that much or I'll have to take over as Captain." Zoro smiled.

No doubt Shanks would be proud. Even after all these years he's still fond with Luffy. He's he one Shanks is rooting for. That had been made very clear during my time with him.

"Your name's Hody, right?" Luffy demanded, "I gotta beat you down. You can play at being a regular king all you want. But there's only room in this world for one pirate king!"

Luffy jumped for the pirates, one arm swelling to five times his size. The pirates cried out in shock as Luffy approached.

We all prepared our weapons, smirks and smiled in place.

"Surrender or be annihilated." Zoro stated, smirking dangerously.

"This'll make for a great painting later, one of museum quality I'm positive." I grinned.

"I won't let them destroy this mermaid paradise!" Sanji lit up a cigarette.

"There are many priceless treasures of world history down here." Robin explained, crossing her arms.

"It's getting hot! A perfect day for a concert!" Brook sang.

End of Chapter 71! A few things below, so please read!

So it's been a while since I've updated, I'm sorry for that guys! I'm still working on rewriting some parts of the upcoming fight. Things tend to get more difficult when you add in another OC to fight, and as they're fish related I'm trying to do some research before I fully write this OC.

With that being said, it might be a little longer until I'm ready to post those chapters, especially since its still in my notebook not finished yet. That's why I wanted to ask if you would rather wait some more for said chapters, or would you be okay if I posted some 'filler' chapters? Two at most. One of which I might throw in some more information about Katsu's family, or about Makoto. The other can be a scenario that I'll let ya'll pick. It's up to you guys, either wait for me to finish up the fight scene, or I can do two 'filler' chapters, though I guess they might not be completely filler if they do correspond with the plot...

Also, I know nobody has said anything on this, but when I look up information on Jimbei it always comes out as Jimbe. I use the manga when I write these chapters, it's just far easier than pausing and playing from the anime, and in the manga his name is spelt Jimbei. I just wanted to get that out there before I get some comment that I'm not spelling it correctly.
