Chapter 116: I Got Drugs!
I do not own One Piece
3RD POV
......................................................
Chopper and Usopp were rather pleased with themselves. They had managed to get their hands on a small amount of the drug many of the beggars were addicted to. Unfortunately, other than the drug, they had not gotten any other information.
Currently, they were waiting at the meet up point for Franky and Brook. From there, they were to go to the ship and wait for everyone else. They just hoped everyone had gotten some useful information.
"Usopp," Chopper murmured, "Do you think Katsu is okay?"
The sniper looked at the doctor, then sighed. "Well, we both know Katsu. I can't really imagine her not being okay." His voice faltered as he remembered the last week before she was taken. Usopp had also not imagined her falling victim to her own mind as she had either. He cleared his throat, shaking those thoughts away. "Her strength almost rivals the monster trio. But, most importantly, she had promised Luffy even before she left that she would be okay. Katsu wouldn't break a promise to her Captain."
Chopper nodded then frowned. "You don't think they would do anything bad to her, do you?"
Usopp shook his head, though he wondered the same. "No way. She's a princess. I bet she's being pampered!"
Now the doctor looked worried. "What if she doesn't want to come back because they've pampered so well?!"
This only made Usopp laugh at the thought of seeing Katsu stick her nose up at the thought of adventure simply because she was receiving extra care. "Katsu can't stand being pampered like that. Remember when Sanji tried? She practically yelled at him and he had to watch how he treated her. Even Nami tried to get Katsu to accept it, but in the end Katsu didn't want the extra attention."
Chopper released a breath upon realizing Usopp was indeed correct. "So she'll come back. Thank goodness."
"We Super got nothing!" Both Usopp and Chopper looked up to see Franky and Brook. Neither looked happy. The skeleton drooped over as a depressed aura surrounded him. Franky's mouth pulled into a deep scowl and his sunglasses resting on his head.
Usopp nodded in agreement, "We didn't get much either."
"We got drugs!" Chopper exclaimed, happy to have found something.
Franky and Brook snapped their attention to the doctor. Both expressed shock and some form of worry. Usopp, meanwhile, gawked at Chopper before taking the baggie out of the reindeer's hoof and pocketing it while looking around suspiciously.
"Don't say it like that!" Usopp hissed, making the reindeer blink in surprise.
"You'd better explain that to Robin." Franky shook his head, "Cause I am not taking the blame for getting Chopper drugs."
"It's not like that!" Usopp shouted, running after them as they began their rout back to the ship.
............................................................
Both Robin and Nami were quite pleased with their intel they had inquired. The information, while rather depressing and upsetting, proved to be useful for them. At the very least, they now knew when they would need to attack to get their crew mate back. After leaving the bar, they began to make their way back to the ship. Though this time they went another route, one that lead directly to the docks that they had overheard the nobles talk about.
Apparently this was only accessible to them. Nami and Robin fit in so well nobody questioned their presence.
Clutched happily in Nami's hand were two pairs of tickets. She hoped she could steal more tomorrow, but she was pleased to at least have four. It was a good start to their search.
"Everyone will want to go." Robin sighed, "That should be our best chance at getting Katsu. Then we can work on getting her brother."
Nami nodded, "I just need five more. Then we can all bust in there."
"And as Katsu would say, 'fuck shit up'." Robin smiled, a small giggle escaping her which Nami matched in agreement.
Both of them came to a stop as a new sight caught their eyes.
"What?" Nami muttered in confusion.
A building was in the process of being built. It appeared to be a factory in the works. However, that wasn't the sight that confused the women. It was the workers.
All of which consisted of children, who were all covered in dirt and grime as they continued to work. Ensuring the children were working, many guards surrounded the area. However, there was only one man who was shouting orders.
His arms were relaxed at his sides, but his whole posture showed how alert he truly was. No weapon was placed at his side, but the females got the feeling that he didn't need one. A deep scar was visible from his neck and appeared to go down to his left forearm. His short hair was such a dark violet that it was almost black.
Unlike the other guards with metal breastplates, this man wore a black breastplate with silver trimming. His black pants fit snugly and tucked into his boots. There wasn't anything extraordinary about the man, but the aura surrounding him felt vicious.
"Robin," Nami whispered, "Do you understand?"
Robin glanced around, her face steeled over as she felt anger beginning to take form inside of her. "I must be misunderstanding."
"No good peasants." The pirates glanced behind them to look at a pair of cleanly dressed girls. "They've taken so long to build that building for the Kobayashi family, it's rather an eyesore to see it taking so long."
"They weren't good enough to make it to training for the royal guard," The other girl shook her head. "Of course they're going to take forever to do this. Nothing but eyesores."
"I doubt the lower levels know about this." Robin muttered, her eyes traveling over towards the large wall that separated the other two levels and this route. "We might have more to do here than just simply freeing Katsu."
..............................................................
Law sat outside the kitchen, his arms crossed as he mulled over the information he had overheard. He had already known how much trouble was being stirred because of the Kiyomizu family, trouble that he hadn't voiced any complains about getting dragged into simply because it involved Katsu. However, things were becoming more complicated.
They needed to get to Dressrosa.
Yet, at the same time, he also felt compelled to aid in the rescue for Katsu. To at the very least, speed up the process.
He hadn't heard much about the Kiyomizu family, but even Doflamingo had always insisted they stay out of their waters. Law wasn't sure if it was because of some influence the family held, if it was because of the power they held, but never-the-less even someone as strong as Doflamingo had advised them to stay away.
When the rest of the crew began to filter back onto the deck, law found his opportunity to walk in the kitchen to listen to everything.
"I got some drugs!" Chopper announced, pointing towards Usopp who was pulling out the baggie.
"Oi! Don't say it like that!" Usopp demanded.
Law rose an eyebrow, looking down at the other doctor. "I didn't take you as one to purchase such things. Especially after Punk Hazard."
"Other than Chopper's find," Frank started. "We Super got nothing. How about you three?" Then he frowned, "Eh? Where's Luffy?"
"Idiot got lost." Zoro shrugged, taking a sip of his sake.
Sanji glared at the swordsman. "You're one to talk!"
Not wanting to wait for a fight to break out, Brook let out a laugh. "Yohoho! Did you two find anything?"
"We found a good informant. He was a royal guard." Sanji answered.
"He's taking a shower right now." Zoro added then looked at Law. "You're gonna clean up after he finishes."
"What?" Law deadpanned.
Zoro ignored the doctor and turned his attention to Chopper. "Why do you have drugs?"
the doctor blinked as all eyes went to him. However, before he could answer, two women opened the door. Sanji immediately sprang to his feet to serve the two as they took their usual seats.
"We have a problem." Nami sighed.
"Hang on," Zoro held up a hand, making both women blink at him . He looked to Chopper once more. "Why do you have drugs?"
"Drugs?" Robin's eyes widened and she looked from Chopper before shooting glare at Franky. When he shook his head and pointed to Usopp, she redirected her glare to him.
"I need to test it!" Chopper answered, "I need to see what kind of drug these people are addicted to, that way I can try to make something to help them get off of it. It also proved how easy it was to get it too."
Usopp nodded in agreement, "Yeah, the guards practically handed it out like candy."
Law hummed as he looked down at the baggie held by Usopp before turning his attention towards Chopper. "I can help you out with that." Chopper looked up at Law and nodded in appreciation.
"That easy?" Sanji sighed, glancing towards Zoro. "It does align with what Pollux mentioned."
"That's the least of our worries." Nami frowned, looking at Robin. "I guess we all need to get caught up."
Zoro nodded in agreement, standing up from his seat. "I'll go check on Pollux. When Luffy gets here we can catch him up on everything then too."
The crew nodded in agreement as the first mate left the kitchen. They had a lot to discuss now, even with their Captain not present. It would be easier to catch him up to speed when he returned.

End of Chapter 116!
I've had to make some changes to how I originally wrote this because it was originally supposed to happen after the Big Mom arc, but considering how things went in the manga it just wouldn't have flowed well. Which means, I've had to write in Law, who was not supposed to be there, thankfully Caesar and Omasu can still have a overall sit out part. My next concern does go with my fight scenes, so hopefully I'll do well on those upcoming.
This is not edited.
