Chapter 36:
Yakunan's POV

Sakura stood there, wide eyed, and fear and anxiety radiated off of her. I turned around and went to catch up with the others, leaving Sakura alone to her thoughts and fears.

Soon I came upon the others. Sasuke and Naruto were out of breath and low on chakra, but the enemy -- Akira, I think -- was on the ground, unconscious.

"Hey, how'd your fight go?" I asked them causally.

"Fine, but no heaven scroll, you?" Naruto asked.

"Oh, uh, I don't know... But I'm sure that she didn't have a heaven scroll on her," I assured them. Sasuke rose an eyebrow, and looked at me suspiciously.

"Where's Sakura?" Sasuke asked.

"She's still over there. I think she'll be coming soon," I told him. He 'hn'd' and turned away.

"Tell her to hurry up. We need to get going and look for another scroll." I nodded and turned away, to go back to Sakura when suddenly, a spike of pain erupted in my chest, making me fall instantly.

"Ya-chan!!" Naruto yelled, coming to my side. "Ya-chan, what's wrong?!"

I was breathing heavily, and held my chest in pain. "I'm... I'm fine... Just the... Aftereffects... Of a powerful... Jutsu... Don't worry..." I tried to get up again, but I winced and fell down.

"No, you're not!" Naruto protested. "Here, turn into a puppy, and I'll carry you, believe it!"

I thought about his proposal for a second. If I turned into a wolf, then I would have almost no chakra left, and I would be unconscious for a few days. But I guess it'll be fine since the team could always watch me and make sure someone doesn't try to kill me in my sleep or something.

"O... Okay... But I will... Have like, no chakra left... So...--"

"Just turn into a dog," Sasuke interrupted. "You're wasting our time." I gave him a half glare and turned into a small wolf cub.

I left completely exhausted doing so, and openly welcomed the darkness that was covering my reality.

Crimson and Pure were standing before me with worry in their eyes. "Yakunan, we need to speak with you," Pure said, with a concerning tone of voice, that made me frown.

"What's wrong?" I asked them. "I thought we got rid of Kuro, so what's the problem now?"

"About that," Pure said. "Kuro is still here." I was shocked at the sudden news. After all that work to get rid of her, she's still here?! What's so good about her anyway! Why was she in my body too?!

"Look, when you got rid of Kuro, you only got rid of the 25% of power that was causing out power to become unbalanced," Crimson explained. "Basically, you sealed her away but the seal wasn't tight enough. If you don't get someone to tighten the seal then Kuro will come back, angrier than ever. You need to get a professional on this one."

"Why can't you guys just re-seal it?" I asked them.

"Because we can't, we don't have enough power. We already used a lot to talk to you when she was here, and when you incinerated that girl. Trying to re-seal it now will use far to much power that we don't have," Pure said.

"I can tell that the seal on that blonde kid is loosened also," Crimson said, "The Nine-tails jinchuuriki."

"Wait, Nine-tails? Naruto is the Nine-tails jinchuuriki?" I asked, confused. That would explain those whisker thingies on his face, I guess.

"Yes, Naruto is the jinchuuriki to Nine-tails, or your great-grandfather," Pure said.

My eyes widened even further. "Grandfather?!" I was so confused at this point.

"Of course," Crimson said like it was nothing. "Why else would you be so affected by the Sharingan? Demons are an indirect descendent of the tailed-beast, remember?"

"So that makes Naruto, like, my Uncle or cousin or something...?" So I'm related to Naruto... Weird...

"Technically, I guess, but that's not the point," Crimson was trying to get back on topic. "If Naruto's seal was loosened, then the village will obviously have to re-seal the seal before it becomes too unloose. So you need to figure out who's doing that and get them to seal your seal too, so that way Kuro's power won't go all out again."

"Oh, okay," I nodded. "But, can you please explain who Kuro is anyways and how she got inside me, because I'm confused..."

Pure sighed. "It's a long story..." She muttered before taking a deep breath. "To put it simply, Kuro is our sister, the eldest at that."

"Kuro is special; she's a mixture of a demon and a fallen angel, which gives her two times the power," Crimson said. "Kuro could've used that power for good, but she decided to become evil and corrupted. She was like Jashin's right hand woman, if not worse, and would be cruel and evil to everything she could lay her eyes on."

"At one point, she decided to give humans the power to kill and murder each other, which was not good. This sprouted wars and plagues and natural disasters. Before it could be out of hand, Kami stopped it."

"Kami and Jashin, although they were eternal rivals, agreed on one thing: That Kuro was too powerful. They worked together to banish Kuro to the Earth and made sure that she'd never bother anyone else again by placing a seal on her."

"The seal would seal her powers and make her invisible and unnoticeable to anyone."

"After the 'Kuro' problem was finished, our parents had another child, well children, which was us. My mother was a fallen angel and my father was a demon, who had fallen in love."

"Kami realized that their power could be user to create a another 'Kuro' and almost had us killed at birth, but our parents gave their lives to protect us."

"After they died, Kami thought that the problem wasn't just us alone, but the whole race of demons/fallen angels, and decided that it would be best to get rid of us completely."

"He and planned to put us into humans -- which was the Akuma clan -- and when the human died, the demon/fallen angel would too."

"Jashin was furious, and decided that if he would get rid of his army of demons and fallen angel, he would get rid of his army of angels."

"This sparked a small war between the supernatural beings, and almost destroyed the world, but seeing the impending issue, Kami stopped it."

"He bargained that if he had let the demons/fallen angels not die, then he would stop the war. But in return, a demon and/or fallen angel of your choice will be sealed into the human."

"After much thought, Jashin finally agreed, and for 500 generations of people, Jashin had picked a person to become sealed into a human."

"This went well, for 50 generations, a person would be sealed into a person, until the most recent one, when you were born."

"Jashin saw that when a demon/fallen angel was sealed inside of a human, the human's powers got significantly stronger and could be used for mass destruction."

"When you were born, he sent a demon AND a fallen angel, so that the human could destroy humanity, and he would build up from that a new race of supernatural beings."

"When we were sealed inside of you, we believe that Kuro somehow got word of our sealing and put some of her power into the seal also, but only a little."

"With this little bit of power, she fed more and more of herself into it, to become stronger. We didn't notice this over the years because we were preoccupied with keeping away Curse Marks and making sure that you stayed safe."

"Now, we think that Kuro has almost full power, and will have the power to destroy the world and everything, and one, in it."

After they finished, they looked at me, as if curious to see my reaction. "So... I'm harboring a weapon of mass destruction...?" I summarized, and both of then anime fell.

"That's not the point!" They screamed.

"Look, we need to get some way to either extract her power or tighten the seal, otherwise you and everyone else can, and will, be in jeopardy," Crimson explained.

"So you think that tightening the seal will save you?" A sinister voice called from the shadows. Crimson and Pire reacted quickly by pulling out whatever weapons that they had, and safely protecting me.

"You can't hide from my power, child," Kuro said. "You will take it."

"I will never take your power!!" I spat.

"Ha! You think that you have a choice, that's funny," Kuro appeared in my line of vision, her yellow/gold eyes shining brightly in the darkness. "Since you realize that I'm a demon and fallen angel, I have two times the power than these two pathetic excuses for being do. You will only grow weaker by staying with these two."

"What do you want Kuro?" Crimson said, her eyes narrowed to slits.

"Many, many things actually," she admitted. "First her to take my power... the fall of humanity... Hm... I think the thing I want most is... The death of Kami and Jashin..."

"You know that you can't kill Kami and Jashin, so stop sprouting nonsense," Pure hissed.

"Of course I can't kill them now," she said with a wave of her hand. "But when this human accepts my power, I will. You won't be able to save her, you know that, right?"

"We will do anything to save her, and keep her from your power!" Crimson seethed.

"But what you don't realize, is that I have found a special power that might just be the game changer," she said.

Pure growled at her. "Nothing you do will--"

"But you haven't seen it yet," Kuro interrupted. "Here, let me show you." She quickly made hand signs that I've never seen. Once she finished, her hands had a dark yellowish black aura around them. "Did you know that every human has a fear? I wonder what you're scared of, human. Let's find out!"

She rose her hand in the air, and then the the brightness of the room vanished leaving the room pitch black, you couldn't even see your hands in front of your face.

"What did you do?! Leave Yakunan alone!" Crimson yelled.

"If you want to know, I used a jutsu called Eternal Darkness, making your surroundings pitch black. Did you see my hands earlier? Once I touch you, you will be under my nightmare, then I'll see what you really fear. Let's get started, shall we?"

You couldn't hear anything other than the heavy, nervous breaths I was taking in and out. I had undid my hiding jutsu so that I could hear everything, and anything. But it was no use, demons and angels have the ability to become completely silent and unnoticeable.

Suddenly a whoosh filled the air, making me jump. Before I could react, a figure reached out to grab me. It was deflected by something metal, and making it leave.

"What was that?" I asked.

"It was Kuro," Crimson's voice said. "Don't let anyone touch you, okay? Not even me."

"O-okay," I said.

"Yakunan, we need to get you out of here," Pure's voice said urgently. "Let me heal you so that I can bring you back to reality."

Someone gasped. "Don't listen to her Yakunan! She's manipulating my voice!" Wait what?!

"I don't understand, what's happening?" I said, blankly confused.

"That's not Pure, Yakunan!" Crimson's voice said. "Let Pure heal you. Hurry!"

"Don't listen to her either!" Crimson's voice said again. "I don't know how she's doing it, but she's manipulating our voices! Don't let her touch you!!" I'm so confused...

"No! She's the imposter!" Pure's voice said again. "Let me heal you! Hurry before Kuro gets you!"

"Don't do it!" Pure said again.

"Listen to me!" Pure said. "Let me heal yo--"

"Shut up, whoever you are!!" I yelled. "You're confusing me!" I threw my hands in the air exasperatingly. Suddenly, something grabbed my hand and laughed. I screamed loudly. I can't believe that she got me! How did she get me?!

"NO YAKUNAN!" Pure screamed. I something yanked me away, and the darkness disappeared. I was brought up in the air by my arm. "PUT HER DOWN!!"

Kuro pouted playfully. "Not until I finish playing with this fragile human. Don't worry, I promise not to break her mind... Too much..." My eyes widened and I screamer again, and tried to get out of her iron grip. "Will you please stop yelling!" She yelled slapping me across the face, making me go silent, only trembling slightly. "Good grief, you're loud for such a small human." A creepy, sadistic smile crept its way unto her lips. "Now, I wonder what lurks in that mind of yours..." She rose her free hand to place on my head, and laughed at my facial expression.

"YAKUNAN!!!" Crimson and Pure screamed before everything went black.
