Chapter 34: Here it is! The Chunnin Exams, Part Three!
Chapter 34:
Pure Angel's POV
I ran off with the blonde human in my arms. "What are you doing?! We need to go back to Ya-chan, believe it!!" The boy yelled, trying to get out of my inhuman grip.
"Yakunan-sama gave us orders, and my order is to take you somewhere safe," I told him firmly.
"So you're just gonna leave like that?!" He yelled. This boy yells too much... "My team's back there and only a coward would run away! I need to go help them!"
"You are to stay here!" I ordered.
"They are my teammates!!" He growled. "I won't leave them, no matter what! I promised that I would protect them with my life, and I never go against my promises, that is my ninja way!!" The boy yelled, squirming out of my arms, and on the hard ground. "My friend is back there, and I don't care if she told me to run away, I'm going to protect her because I am her teammate, her comrade." The boy paused. "'A ninja that breaks the rules are scum, but a ninja who abandons his friends are worse than scum!!'"
My glare softened at his words. I heard Ya-chan's sensei say that once, and I'm sure she wasn't listening when he did, but that is a very admirable quote. Even for a human, he is very wise.
I thought it over and finally agreed. "Fine boy, you may go back," the blonde cheered, happily. "But I cannot escort you, I must go and tell your sensei about the sudden threat. Here," I reached into my hidden pocket and pulled out a small whistle. "Blow into this when you are in serious danger to summon me. You can only use it once, so be wise." I looked at the sky to check the time. It looked at least 6:30 PM and the sun was setting.
"I must leave now, it is getting late," I said and turned to the boy. He had a grin on his face spreading from ear to ear. "Be safe young one, I will see you soon. Goodbye," and with that, I flickered away, and teleported to Kakashi's house that Yakunan was so familiar with.
"Kakashi-san?" I called once I made it to the small house. I appeared in the room that humans called the 'Kitchen', which was a bit dirty, but not as much as when Yakunan saw it on the first day.
"Who's there?" Kakashi voice groaned from the other room. I followed his scent, to his bedroom. It scent was collided with a sharp scent of alcohol.
"Kakashi-san?" I called, pushing open the door. Kakashi was lying on the bed, in an awkward position, "Are you okay?"
"Hm? Who are you?" He asked, his voice was slightly slurred showing the aftereffects of the alcohol.
"It's Pure Angel," I replied. "Yakunan-sama is in deep trouble, amd we need your help." Kakashi shot straight up, and tried to walk over, but fell back down and groaned loudly.
"Ow, ow, ow..." He groaned, holding his head.
"I can fix that for you if you want," I suggested polietly.
"Please do," he moaned.
I nodded, and went over to heal his head, and drained all effects of alcohol from his system. "That should be better," I said.
"Mhm.. It is..." He agreed. "Now, what is the problem? Where's Yakunan?" He grabbed a water bottle by the side of the bed, and began to drink.
"She's still taking the test," I said. "But Orochimaru decided to make an appearance. We believe that he is there to regain Yakunan's custody." Kakashi chocked on his water and began to cough.
After his coughing fit, he stared at me with wide eyes. "Are you sure? It wasn't a hallucination like last time?"
I shook my head. "No, he is here. Actually, he has been here for a few days now, and Yakunan has known."
"He's been in Konoha for a few days and Yakunan has already known and didn't say anything?! Why not?!"
"One of his apprentices threatened to kill you and her team, and she didn't want you humans to die," I said. "Although, before the second exam, she confronted him, and said that she would tell on him if he did anything to harm anyone."
"We need to go to see the Hokage," Kakashi said, throwing his ninja vest on. He had already had on his ninja clothing. "C'mon," he said, walking out of the room.
"You might want to change your clothes, Kakashi-san," I warned him. "You really smell like alcohol, even with a normal human nose someone could smell it, and it stinks." I scrunched up my nose and rose a judging eyebrow.
"Okay then, first clothes, then Hokage," he said and walked into his closet where racks of clothes were. Once he finished, and didn't smell like alcohol as much as he did before, we left to go see the Hokage.

Yakunan's POV
Crimson and I had finally made it to Orochimaru, I was in human form by now. What we saw was not the worst that I had imagined. Sakura and Sasuke were up against a tree, fear was pouring out of them and filling the already-filled-with-malice air. Orochimaru was standing across from them, taunting them.
"Orochimaru, what are you doing?! Stop scaring the kids," I yelled at him, making my presence known.
"Oh look, my dearessst experiment," he hissed with a smirk. "What bringsss you here, my dear?"
"Stop playing around, snake," I spat. Crimson helped Sakura and Sasuke up, and led them away from the area quickly. "What do you want?"
"All I wanted was a gift in return that I gave you," he said. "That and to play a little."
"Nobody wants to play with deceitful, evil snakes, Orochimaru," I informed him, and drew my katana.
He chuckled. "But you are drawing your weaponsss right now, ssso you mussst want to play alssso?"
"I don't play to lose," I said.
"Let'sss sssee how long that lassstsss," he said and lunged at me.
I moved to the side, and swiped at him, which he dodged. He brought his foot over me, to kick my back to the ground, but I sidestepped.
"Now now," he said. "You aren't very entertaining at all."
"And I see you've grown weaker too," I retorted and his eyes narrowed.
"Oh, I could ssssay the ssssame for you," he said, as I swiped my leg underneath him.
"No, I've gotten very much stronger," I said. "I would teach you some things, but you can't teach a old snake new tricks now can you?" I formed hand signs, and jumped back. I gabbed my katana into the ground. "FIRE STYLE: FIRE SWORD JUTSU!!" My hands caught on fire and I touched my blade.
The fire extended to my katana, and made it a fiery and even more deathly. "Ready to play, Snake?" I asked and lunged at him. Since my blade was on fire, he couldn't hold it without getting burned, so his only option was to dodge.
After a few dodges, he tried to swipe at my arm, but I cut him off by throwing my katana up and grabbing his arm with my enflamed hand. He hissed, and jumped away, and I caught my katana just before it reached the ground and breathed heavily.
"Is the Demon tired yet?" Orochimaru taunted.
"Not.. Yet..." I gasped, and reached into my pouch for kunai. I threw a few kunai at him, and it hit his chest. He disappeared in a poof of smoke and left a pile of logs.
"You should really watch your surroundings, Demon," His said, his breath on my neck. I whipped around, my katana ar ready, but he swiped under my feet instead.
I jumped up in the air, and turned my sword downwards on his head. Before I could plunge it into his skull painfully, he moved, and my katana met the ground. At the contact of the dirt, the fire diminished, and turned back to its original state.
I tried to pull my katana out of the ground, but it was stuck there. Orochimaru's foot came into contact with my chest and it flew me up into the air. He jumped off the ground, and punched me in the stomach, making me cough up blood, and spiral to through a few trees by the mere force of the attack.
After the third tree, I finally stopped and my head hang limply. Blood trailed from my mouth and my vision blurred. Orochimaru came up to me fast, and held me over the tree by my arm.
"I thought that you didn't lose at games, hmm Demon?" He taunted. "Here, let me show you what we were playing before you interrupted."
Everything flashed red, and I saw my body on the ground, surrounded by a puddle of my own blood. Hovering over my body was a tall boy with black hair and blood red crazy eyes. It was Rei...
He was stabbing my body with a sword over and over again, laughing at my cries of pain, and taunting me as I died. In the background were a pile of all the people that I had ever met that had helped me. Sasuke. Kakashi. Sakura. Guy. Lee. Neji. Tenten. The Hokage. Ibiki. Inoichi. Crimson. Pure. Everyone.
A person came up behind him, and tapped him on the shoulder. Rei gave him the sword, and the new person helped stab my dying body. This new one was blonde haired and blue eyed, and a sinister grin was on his whiskered cheeks. I gasped as I realized that it was Naruto killing me repeatedly.
No, no, this can't me true. I don't believe it. Naru-kun would never do this, ever. He's to nice, and kind, and.. And--
"How do you like your death?" Orochimaru's voice echoed. "Yours is much more graphic then the others, I'll give you that."
"...Get out..." I whispered.
"I'm sorry, what was that? You must learn to speak up if you want your last words to be heard my dear," he said.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" I screamed. The bubbly black and white power covered my skin once again, as I went back to reality, and the genjutsu broke.
My wolf ears and tail popped out, along with chakra shaped wings and a devil's tail. I roared loudly that echoed throughout the forest and charged at the snake.
I swiped a long paw at him, which he dodged. He opened his mouth and pulled out a long bluish light sword. He held onto the slimy handle and charged at me.
I pulled my katana out of the ground and collided it with his sword. My black and white chakra combined with the sword, covering it in chakra rather than fire. I pushed more on his sword making him fall back.
He jumped out of the way, and bit his hand to form signs. "SUMMONING JUTSU!" He hissed in his usual raspy voice. He slammed his hand on the ground, and out a huge poof a smoke sounded.
After the smoke cleared, it showed a large purple snake, its tongue hissed out of his mouth and charged at me.
I jumped from side to side, evading the snake, but as I was falling to the ground on my last jump, it's tail swept under me, and make me fly and hit a tree sideways.
I groaned, and tried to get up, but the snake slammed it's tail down on my body, making me hit the ground, again. Orochimaru jumped off the snake and on the ground, in front of me. The snake crept its tail around my waist and rose me up in the air.
Orochimaru walked up to me and lifted up my shirt, revealing my demonic/angelic seal. "W-what ar-re you do-doing?" I managed to say, with the snake around my waist in a death grip.
"I'm giving you a goodbye gift," he said and light his fingers up with chakra. "Consider yourself lucky." He slammed his fingers around my stomach and turned it counter-clock wised.
A searing pain filled my body as I screamed loudly. And before he could get to the end of his circle, something kicked him in the head, taking him by surprise and making him fall to the ground.
The snake that was holding me hissed, and in one swift movement, it's tail was cut off, and made me fall to the ground, and hit my head roughly.
My vision blurred, as someone ran over to me, telling me things that I couldn't understand. Someone else stood behind them, confronting Orochimaru, with two twin swords, but they were slowly disappearing.
"...kunan... I... Don't fall...kunan!!!..." Someone screamed, but their voice was slowly fading away as I slipped out of consciousness.

3rd POV
Pure was pacing outside of the Hokage's office. Kakashi ran a hand through his lopsided gray hair and sighed. "Can you please sit down, Pure Angel?" Kakashi asked her for the 20th time.
"Not until the Hokage comes out and tells us his decision," Pure huffed, for the 20th time.
"For the last time, he has to talk it over with the council," Kakashi said, flipping another page on the book he was reading.
"Yakunan is out there with that evil snake and you want me to be calm?!" Pure said unbelievingly.
"Yes, I do," Kakashi said nonchalantly. "For a old lady, I would've thought that you'd have more patience. I mean, I thought people get wiser and more patient as they get older, but I guess that's not the case with demons."
A demonic aura rose in the room, causing Kakashi to glance up from his book. Pure, or Tainted, was smiling sadistically, making Kakashi sweat drop.
"You think I'm old and impatient?" Tainted's voice said. "You don't know how patient I am right now, holding myself back from severely injuring a unsuspecting human." She spat, angrily. "All I want to do is ensure Yakunan's safety, bur I can't even get that!!" Her face grew red with pent up anger. "I need to hurt something..." She murmured, making Kakashi move over, away from Tainted Soul.
She paced up and down the hall and back, walking so fast and nervously that she left skid marks in her paces. Kakashi rose an eyebrow, but shook this head, ridding himself of the thought.
Suddenly, the door creaked open to reveal a ANBU officer with rabbit like mask. "The Hokage will see you now," she said, and moved out of the way for the duo to come inside.
Pure ran inside and right in front of the Hokage's face, making them inches away. "Yes Ms. Angel? Do you need something?" He asked her, and puffed a poof of smoke in her face from his pipe.
"What are you doing? Are you cancelling the exams?" She asked him.
The Hokage sighed. "I would like to cancel the exams, but the council votes against it. I'm sorry miss, but there's nothing I can do about that?"
"What about Orochimaru?" Kakashi asked. "What are you doing about him?"
"We are sending out jonin and ANBU to detain him, and ultimately end him. That is all we can do at the moment," the Hokage said.
"And Yakunan?" Pure asked. One could tell how anxious she was on this topic.
"There's nothing we can do right now about that," the Hokage admitted. "We aren't allowed to interrupt during an exam, but between them is just fine. But you are welcome to go to her and ensure her safety, but otherwise that is out of my hands." Pure growled angrily, and was about to argue, but stopped, and held her chest.
"Pure what's going on?" Kakashi asked, as she stumbled back.
"The... The seal... It was... Loosened... I... I can't stay... I don't know... Anything else, but...be wary of Yakunan... She will be... Even more... Unstable... Be careful..." Pure began to fade away into a bright light, and Kakashi's eye widened. In seconds, her body was gone and replaced by nothingness.
"What just happened?" Kakashi asked the Hokage.
"I have no clue," the Hokage said. "Anyways, I'll have Jiraiya check on Yakunan's seal. If it really was untightened, we will need to tighten it as soon as possible, and if we can't do that, then we may have to detain her until we are able to."
"Hokage-sama, with all due respect, you sent really thinking of detaining Yakunan, are you?" Kakashi asked incredulously. "I mean, she's been detained for the most part of her life, and doing it again, would only make her lose even more trust that she has for us."
The Hokage sighed, "I wish I didn't have to do this," he said. "But its for the sake of the village. I cannot just allow a ticking time bomb to run around the village willingly." He paused, for a second. "Once the exams are over, we'll move her to a separate facility on the outskirts of our borders, that way if she does cause any damage, she will not be able to harm anyone. Kakashi may I ask of you a favor?"
Kakashi rose a eyebrow, before bowing to his leader. "Of course, Hokage-sama. What is it that you need?"
He puffed smoke out of his pipe. "I want you to battle Yakunan in the preliminaries match to test her capability of handling her demon chakra."
