Chapter 21: To The Land Of Waves Part 11

Chapter 21:

Yakunan's POV

I woke up disoriented and look around. Surrounding me was a large room with me under the blankets. I got up and jumped back, examining my surroundings. Kakashi was sitting in front of me, reading Icha Icha.

"Hmm... You're awake," he said, flipping another page. "Are you ready? We're going training later," He asked. I gave him a small nod, and straighten myself. I yawned and stretched, feeling very refreshed. I changed myself to the size of a pup and jumped on Kakashi's head.

After I finished, I turned to Kakashi, who looked up at me with bored. He walked out the door, and made no comment about me. As we went to the kitchen, I saw my team eating and talking amongst themselves. "Yo," Kakashi said, with his hands in his pockets. I barked in greeting too.

A round of good mornings came around as he made his way to the table. A plate of bacon and eggs was sat in front of him. He set his bacon aside to give me, which I happily took and jumped off his head to eat, and ate the bacon. "Hey, Kaka-sensei, where's Yakunan? Is she still sleeping? Why was there a dog on your head?" Naruto question curiously.

"This," he pointed to me. "Is Yakunan. You remember that wolf from yesterday? That was Yakunan. I don't know why she doesn't turn back human, so ask her." He went back to eating and pulled out Icha Icha.

Naruto went up and poked me in my side as I ate. I turned around and growled at him angrily. Could he not wait till I finish, sheesh!

He obviously didn't get the memo, and kept poking me. I got irritated, and bit him finger, drawing blood out too. He yelled and waved his hand around, while I was still attached to it. "NARUTO! Be careful!!" Kakashi scolded, and grabbed his arm with me on it. I let go, and sat on the table, feeling very dizzy.

"I'm sorry, Ya-chan!!" Naruto pleaded, and I rolled my eyes.

"Um, Kakashi-sensei..." Sakura called. He raised and eyebrow at her giving his attention. "How do you know that that is Yakunan? What if she was a imposter or something?"

"Ask her." He replied, detaching himself from the situation.

"Say something only Ya-chan would say!" Naruto quizzed. Sakura hit him over the head.

"IDIOT! One: Yakunan doesn't talk, and two: The wolf wouldn't either!!" Sakura yelled at him. Naruto frowned and rubbed his poor head.

Sakura sighed and asked Tsunami for a sheet of paper and a pen. Tsunami hurried of to get the supplies. When she came back, she gave it to Sakura.

Sakura wrote down the Japanese alphabet in big letters. Once she was done, she put it in front of me. "We will ask you a question, and in order to answer it, you would spell it out. Okay?" I nodded and looked at her. She turned to think of a good question.

"OOH! OOH! I GOT ONE!!" Naruto said raising his hand. Sakura turned to him.

"It better not be something stupid, Naruto!" Sakura warned.

"Its not," he said and looked at me. "First question: Where will you and I be going after the mission."

This is easy, I promised that I'd go to the ramen shop with him. 'R-A-M-E-N S-H-O-P.' I spelled out.

Naruto grinned. "So you didn't forget!" Of course I didn't forget, stupid team not being trusting, hmph!

"Next question: What is your favorite food?" Sakura asked.

'M-E-A-T.' I replied without question.

"Last question: Do you like cats?" Naruto asked.

I wonder what would happen if I said yes... 'Y-E-S.' Sakura and Naruto looked at me.

"KAKASHI-SENSEI!!! THIS ISN'T YAKUNAN!!!" Naruto screamed, pointing a finger at me. I bit him, again. Naruto yelled, tears spouting in his eyes. "AHHH!!!!" He shook me around, giving me intense vertigo, again. I let go, and hit the wall behind him, painfully.

"Your fault, you lied to them." Kakashi said, uncaringly while reading his book.

'You know, I could make it that you could talk to them in their minds...' Crimson said.

'WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT BEFORE?!' I yelled at her with a irk mark.

'Watching you suffer is amusing.' She said bluntly, but smiling all the while. I frowned at her.

'Just tell me how to do it,' I ordered her. She nodded, and took control over my body, making my eyes red and fur turn blacker that usual. 'Kakashi first.'

She walked over to him and sat in front of him. He looked over his book and in my face. "What do you--" she cut him off by placing a paw on his head. "What are you--" her chakra was channeled through my body and into his head. He winced in pain, before looking at me, oddly. After whatever Crimson had done, was finished, she backed away.

'Look at him and direct your thoughts to him. This only works in your wolf form, so don't try in human form.' Crimson instructed. 'I'll do the others later, but remember you owe me.' She left, leaving me to stare at Kakashi, who was looking very confused.

I took a deep breath and looked at Kakashi. 'Hey, Kakashi...' I thought to him awkwardly.

His eye widened and looked at me. 'Yakunan, what did you do? Why can I hear you in my mind?' He asked.

'I didn't do anything, Crimson did. I think she created a mind link between us or something. She said that she would do the others later...' I trailed off, not knowing what else to say.

'So, you're basically reading my mind? That's an invasion of privacy.' He accused.

'Would you rather me not talk for a week straight?' I questioned.

'Yes,' he replied without hesitation. My eye twitched in anger and I grew a irk mark.

'Whatever. This is just placed so that I can contact you when I need to. I'm pretty sure you don't speak wolf anyway.'

'Actually I--'

'Shut up, Kakashi.' I interrupted.

Kakashi chuckled softly. 'Anyways, would you care to explain why you won't change back to wolf form?'

I nodded and explained everything that Crimson told me. Kakashi nodded, a little, after hearing it all.

'So your body is trying to adjust to your new form.' He summarized and I nodded.

'I'll have Crimson place one on the others later,' I said and Kakashi nodded.

'Be careful, though. That kind of hurt,' Kakashi said, thinking about sharp pain from earlier.

I shrugged,'I don't think it can be any--' I was cut off by someone poking me. My eye twitched as I quickly snapped down on the finger, glaring at its owner, who was once again Naruto.

Naruto screamed, and flared his arm around, anime crying. I let go, and flew through the air, again. This time, before I hit the wall, Kakashi caught me, and held me by the scruff of my neck. I looked at Kakashi gratefully, and glared heatedly at Naruto, who was sucking his finger.

'I hope he gets rabies or something...' I thought darkly. Kakashi glared playfully and lightly flicked ny head.

'That's not nice,' he scolded.

'I thought that it was a invasion of privacy to read someone else's thoughts, Kakashi? It's not like he can hear me anyway.'

"Yakunan said that she hopes you get rabies." Kakashi informed Naruto. I deadpanned and glare at Kakashi, growling. Naruto started worrying about actually getting rabies or some other diseases.

'Now he can hear you,' he gave me a closed eye smile, and I glared back.

'Go away, Kakashi.' I said as I threw up a weak chakra wall. He wouldn't be able to penetrate it without proper experience so it didn't take that much out of me.

"How can you understand her, believe it!" Naruto asked, very confused.

"She placed a mind link between us, so I can head her thoughts, and vice versa. Bur right now, she is very quiet. I think she blocked me out, so I can't hear her anymore," He explained and Naruto nodded, probably not even understanding at all.

"So... She's reading your mind?" Sakura confirmed and Kakashi shrugged.

"Something like that, I guess. She said that she'll place one on you guys later," Kakashi informed.

They shrugged and gathered their stuff, to go to the bridge with Tazuna. With Gato being gone, the bridge should be able to be done in a few days. We are expected to be finished in a few days, a week at most.

Tsunami and Inari went to go wash the dishes, leaving just Kakashi and I. "Come on," Kakashi said, walking towards the door. I jumped off the table and unto his head, letting him lead wherever we were going.

*-*-*-*

Kakashi and I ended up deep in the forest. Kakashi grabbed me off his head and set me on the ground. "Turn into a big wolf," He ordered. I listened and turned into a 6 foot tall wolf, the size I usually use while training. "I want to see what jutsus you can do, but in order to do that, I need to find your chakra nature." He pulled out a sheet of paper from his bag. "I wanted to do this later, but I want to see if it would work in your wolf form." He gave me the paper, which I grabbed with my mouth. "Channel your chakra into the paper," He instructed. I nodded slightly and forced my chakra into my mouth, where the paper was.

The paper began to smoke and burn, making me drop it. Suddenly, it cut in half making both sheets burn to ashes.

'Was it really wise to set paper on fire in the woods?' I asked Kakashi.

"It'll be fine," he reassured, while stepping on the burning paper, smothering the fire. "In the mean time, you have two chakra natures: Fire and wind. But, I was very curious to see what would happen if you channeled your demons' chakra into it."

'No, Kakashi.' Crimson warned. 'One of the downsides to being in this wolf form is that she won't be able to properly control our chakra, making it go wild and even boost her stage up a level or two. Also, it'll make the time for her to adapt to her form longer, and even possibly prevent her from turning human again.' Kakashi nodded understandingly.

"That makes sense," he approved. "In the meantime, I need to see what jutsus you know. Can you do any wind jutsus in that form?"

I nodded and rose my head up to focus the chakra into my mouth. I roared, with the enhanced chakra, cutting down 3 1/2 trees in one blow. I guess that training really did pay off, huh. I turned to Kakashi who was nodding, slightly impressed. "So you can do wind blade, but instead of fans, you howl, interesting. Can you do any fire style jutsus?"

I shook my head no. I only know about 3, but I haven't figured out how to use any of them with my wolf form.

"So we need to teach you fire style jutsus and try to see if we can combine both of them in your wolf form." Kakashi confirmed and I nodded. "I'll tell you the hand signs." Kakashi told me the series of hand signs that went along with the fire style jutsu, that I memorized. "How you will perform it though, is far beyond me." Well that helps, I know the hand signs to a technique I can't use.

'Think if the hand signs, Yakunan,' Pure advised. 'The only downside is that it these jutsus are special and will take about 2x more chakra, even for basic jutsus. You'd be better off with just taijutsu. It would be wise to learn these so try your best.' I nodded and used her instructions.

Imagining the hand signs in my head, I focused the chakra into my mouth and breathed the flames unto the tree in the form of a ball. The fire was about 3-4 feet wide and brought the tree in flames. After I finished, I was huffing and panting heavily. She was right, that did take a lot out of me. I straightened myself and looked at Kakashi, who was nodding.

I looked at the tree worryingly, it was already burnt and the tree next to it was burning too. 'Umm... Shouldn't we fix that?' I asked the masked man.

He looked up at the tree. "Oh, it'll be fine. Hopefully." I anime fell.

'YOUR JUST GOING TO LEAVE THE TREE BURNING LIKE THAT?!?' I yelled at him.

He sweat dropped. "It'll rain eventually, so it'll be fine." My eye twitched, and I looked at the sky. It was a really gray and cloudy, but still! "Anyways, I want you to practice your jutsu, and here." He tossed me a scroll, that I caught with my mouth and sat on the ground. "That scroll has a lot of jutsus that you can learn. Learn them, and come back for at dark. Bye." Then he poof'd away to god knows where, leaving me behind with a burning tree. I grabbed the scroll in my mouth and ran to a clearing, a better setting for using fire style jutsus.

After I found an empty one, I set the scroll down and opened it with my paw. I unraveled the scroll and looked at the first one on the list.

'FIRE STYLE TECHNIQUES: FIRE BALL JUTSU; GREAT FIRE BALL JUTSU; PHOENIX FLOWER JUTSU...' Under each one was the hand signs for each.

I took a deep breath and started at the beginning, fire ball jutsu. After memorizing the hand signs I shot it in the clearing, making the soft green grass, a crispy brown.

*-*-*-*

I huffed and sat down on my butt. The grass surrounding me was a light brown and green mixture that spread for about 5-10 feet circling me. My chakra was dangerously low and I couldn't use Crimson's or Pure's in this form. My sight began to blur as I fell to my side, landing on the crunchy grass with a loud 'thud'.

Not being able to keep up this big form for so long, I unwillingly transformed into a pup, like I was earlier. I heard someone approaching me and I turned around to get into position to see face them. I tried to growl threateningly, but that doesn't really work out of you're a puppy.

A child appeared out from the trees and ran to me. She a dark blond hair and wore a bright yellow shirt with a pink tutu and black leggings. "MOMMA LOOK! A DOGGIE!!" She cried obnoxiously and reached out to grab me. Lacking the energy to run away, she caught unto my body and pulled me close to her chest. "CAN WE KEEP IT? PLEASEEE!!!" She asked.

Suddenly, two other figures emerged from the woods, and came to the child. One a woman with blonde hair and the other a man with dark hair, each had on ninja attire and a waves headband. "You know we can't have a dog, Mei." The woman replied, "plus that one's dirty. We can get you a better one anyway." The woman frowned at me, and I glared in return.

The little girl started to cry big fat tears that landed on my dirty fur. "B-B-B-BUT, I-I W-W-A-NT-T TH-H-I-S O-O-N-E!!" 'Mei' blubbered between words, making the man frown.

"Come on, Sakura. We can get it cleaned and shots and stuff later. Plus, Mei seems to really like that dog." The man coaxed the woman. The woman looked at me, disapprovingly, before sighing.

"Fine, but having a dog is a big responsibility. You have to promise to take care of it," The woman warned. Mei nodded enthusiastically and gave the woman a big smile.

"I PROMISE, MOMMA!!" Mei said and turned to me. "WE'RE GONNA HAVE LOTS OF FUN! WE'RE GONNA DO DRESS UP AND PLAY DOLLIES AND EVERYTHING!! THIS TIME DOGGIE WON'T BE ABLE TO ESCAPE!!" She smiled a childish smile, but it was hiding a sadistic, crazy smile, giving me chills.

"Come on, Mei. We have to go home now," the mother called, and turned.

"COMING!!!" She called to her mom and ran to her, swinging me helplessly. Oh god help.

*-*-*-* BACK AT TAZUNA'S HOUSE *-*-*-*

Kakashi's POV

I was in the woods, walking back to the point where I left Yakunan earlier. It was almost midnight and she wasn't back. Maybe she collapsed from chakra depletion or something. I was still worried, though, because even if she was low on chakra, she still would've came home. Something probably happened and maybe she was stuck in a rock or caught in a trap or something.

I came upon our site that we left earlier, but instead of seeing my student, I saw nothing. Literally, the fire was out, but you could still see traces of it, she was gone, but there were big foot prints in the ground showing her tracks. I frowned and followed the footprints, which lead me into a clearing.

There was a large circle of brown-green-yellow-ish grass in the center of it, showing that it was burnt by fire. Did Yakunan do this...? I looked around and tried to find any traces of my student anywhere, but found nothing.

I weaved hand signs and summoned Pakkun. "Yo, Kakashi. What'cha need?"

"See if you can find any traces of a wolf," I asked the dog. He nodded and sniffed the ground.

"Yeah, I smell a wolf alright, its a big one too. There's also the scent of a little girl and two... Wave ninjas." Pakkun confirmed. Wave ninjas? Little girl? Where were these coming from?

"Can you trace the wolf scent?" I asked him and he nodded. After sniffing the grass for a few seconds, he pointed his nose in the opposite direction of where I came.

"Over there," he said. "It's not far, just a few miles away from here. I can smell burning from there too, but it's not outta control, so its probably a fireplace or something." Pakkun said. I nodded and de-summoned him, heading for the point he showed me.

How Yakunan got in the hands of a little girl, I will never know.

*-*-*-*-* WITH YAKUNAN *-*-*-*-*

Yakunan's POV

I took a sharp intake of breath as the girl tried to kill me.

She decided, after much evaluation, that I'd look the cutest in a dress with a dog corset. I whined harder as she tightened the corset even more. "Its gonna hurt, Zebra Fairy Cakes, so stop whining!" She said as she tightened it. Oh yeah, she named me Zebra Fairy Cakes too. Where she got the '-Fairy Cakes' part from is beyond me.

After she finished, she brushed her hands and wiped any sweat from her brow. "There, now for the dress!!" She said, running over to get the dog dress. Where did she even get a corset for a DOG?! By this point, she wouldn't have to worry about me escaping, because I won't be able to move from this stupid dress!!!

Mei came back with a pink dress. It had sparkles all over it and as bright as the sun. It was also puffy. Very, very puffy.

It took me a second to get over the blindness from that dress before trying to run the other way. Note: Trying. As soon as moved, I face planted with her overly fluffy flooring.

"Silly doggie, you think that you can escape!" The girl laughed and brought the horrid dress over my head, that was pounding from lack of air, and on my body. She pulled the arms into the arm holes and tail through the back. "There we go! Now doggie looks like a princess!!" She picked me up and swung me in a circle for 10 whole minutes before putting me down. I looked around the room, everything was moving and being weird. I could barely her the girl's annoying high pitched, ear screeching laughter and squeals, and at this point, it was very well needed. I touched my head in pain. It was officially throbbing with pain and didn't feel like it'd subdue at any point of time in the near future.

The disoriented sound of a knock sounded in the background of the house. A few minutes later, I was picked up and brought to the direction if the door and saw a man with spiky white hair and a gray vest with a mask on. Hm... Kinda looks like Kakashi...

I was put in this man's arms and Mei began to cry. Why is that little girl crying? Why can't I hear anything? Who is this guy anyway?!? After a few minutes, he left the spoiled child and ran off, with my head hitting his chest with every step. I whined loudly, and looked at the man. "...Yakunan..." He said something to me. This guy knows my name... Oh how nice, he's a stalker. I got wolf-napped by a stalker...

'Yakunan, is something wrong?' A voice sounded in my mind. What is that? Who are you?

'Yakunan, is something wrong? It's me, Kakashi.' The voice said again. Hm... Where have I heard that name before... I wonder if this guy can get the stalker guy to get this stupid thing off me... 'It's the dress?' The voice came again.

Something touched my back, and tore off the hideous dress and corset, letting me breath, finally. I took a deep breath and almost fell out of the man's grip. "Woah there!" The man said, catching me by the scruff of my neck. My mind was finally able to think clearly.

I looked at Kakashi with a very, very grateful look for saving my life. 'Kakashi...' I thought wearily.

'What?'

'Set me down... So I can... Go kill that girl...' My thoughts were very dark as I thought of hundreds of different ways to torture and kill the girl. Hm... Death by fire? No, too much work, plus they'll find the body too easily. I could impale her, cut open the body and replace the organs with rocks and drown the body in the water surrounding the village. They wouldn't be able to find the body as easily. But, I can't carry her dead body in this form and a six-foot wolf would be too suspicious.

"You are evil," Kakashi said bluntly.

'She's the one who tried to kill me. An eye for an eye.'

"Revenge is never the answer."

'She wolf-napped me and put me in a dress that almost kill me.'

"She's six."

'And?!'

Kakashi sighed tiredly and stayed quiet, probably listening to my thoughts, which all included plans on how to murder the six-year-old.

Eventually, we got to the house, and Kakashi brought me to the table. "Are you hungry, you missed out on lunch and dinner."

'Nah, I'll be fine. I'm just tired.' I replied with yawn.

"You sure?"

'Yeah,' I jumped off the table and stalked over to my room. The door was opened slightly and Sakura laid in her bed, snoring. The window was also opened. Hm... Let's go on the roof.

I jumped on the window sill and concentrated the chakra to my feet and walked up the side of the house. Once I reached the top, I looked at the starry night sky.

Cancer... Polaris...... North star.......... Big dipper............ Leo............ Venus...........

I slowly fell into a deep sleep.
