3. The Bridal shower celebration
Niyati rushed home, her mind racing with thoughts of the upcoming bridal shower. Her best cousin, Arundhati, was finally tying the knot, and Niyati was excited to celebrate.
Niyati reached home as fast as she could and hurried up as she had to attend the bridal party or bridal shower of Arundhati. She read the invitation, where the theme of the party was a tulle dress wedding bridal shower.
As she entered her room, her mother handed her a beautiful tulle dress, perfectly matching the bridal shower's theme. Niyati's heart swelled with gratitude; her mom had always known her style.
She saw the dress her mom had already selected for her and wore it. Niyati wore Pink Feather Gown floor length feather and tulle ruffle feather gown features satin bodice with pleated lace up bodice back and zipper closure.
The love for tulle wedding dresses extends beyond their romantic appeal. The lightweight and breathable nature of tulle fabric ensures that you stay comfortable throughout your special day. Additionally, the versatility of tulle allows designers to create various styles, making it easy for brides to find their match. Tulle is also highly versatile, complementing various wedding themes, from classic and elegant.
The pink jewelry drawer was a delicate, elegant container adorned with intricate designs and subtle sparkle. Lined with soft, white or pale pink velvet to protect precious jewels
- Divided compartments to organize and display various pieces
- A small mirror or padded cushion added an extra touch of luxury.
As she was selecting the jewelry that could match up with her outfit, she thought of her wedding.
While getting ready, Niyati's thoughts drifted to her own wedding - or rather, the lack thereof.
Her mom had never nagged her about marriage before, but Niyati knew the reason. The painful memory of her parents' fight still lingered.
She remembered the incident where her mom and dad had a huge fight over a petty thing. She interrupted them, saying, "I won't ever get married!"
Whenever her uncle and aunt visited her they always nagged her, saying, "How a woman should be able to manage her work, career, family, and also cook three times meals for her family. It's a woman's responsibility to take care of all her responsibilities along with family."
Her uncle and aunt's constant criticism had fueled her resolve.
Niyati's thoughts lingered on her past conversations as she finished getting ready.
Niyati recalled telling her parents, "I was too clumsy and only focused on my studies and never contributed to household chores much. I didn't even know how to cook much other than pasta, Maggi, and all fancy recipes, which I used to watch on YouTube - it's the best for cooking all types of restaurant recipes."
Her family and relatives expected her to make tea and nashta for everyone, while she was barely surviving her exam stress and managing her job, making only coffee for herself.
Her uncle also told her, "How are you going to manage after marriage if you don't learn to cook three times a day and go to a job and do all household chores by yourself?"
Niyati's response had shocked them all: "I won't get married if I do, I will want my husband to share household chores with me and I'll hire a chef if needed!"
They labeled her "picky" and "having too many expectations." But Niyati stood firm on her decision. They belittled Niyati's focus on studies and lack of household skills.
Now, as she adorned herself with jewelry, Niyati wondered if she'd ever find someone who understood her.
"Mom, I'm ready," Niyati called out, her voice steady.
Her mother's warm smile reassured her. "You look beautiful, my princess. Have fun tonight."
Niyati left for the bridal shower, her heart filled with love for Arundhati and a silent prayer: May I find my own happily ever after, on my terms.
( Bridal shower: A party for the bride where friends and family give her gifts for married life. Bridal showers are usually held a few weeks to three months before the wedding. Malhotra Mansion
Niyati got ready and reached Malhotra mansion, where all their family's grand functions took place. As soon as she reached there, she called Sara.
"Where are you? Did you reach already? U know na I had my last exam today, so I got a little late."
Sara ran towards Niyati in her beautiful dress. She wore a elegant white combination evening tulle prom dress is created in maxi length. The bodice of the gown has a semi-transparent corset. The dress has detachable sheer sleeves with a bow tie back. The tulle maxi skirt is ruched on the bottom and has a lining.
"I was waiting for you since an hour, but let's go," Sara said.
"Arundhati didi is having her photoshoot; she asked for you at least five times - 'Where is Niyu? She should be here an hour ago.' She didn't even start any party or event and decided to go for the photoshoot first."
Niyati felt sorry for reaching late. "Only if that idiot wouldn't have interrupted the traffic," she said, recalling the earlier incident.
Sara looked confused. "Who are you talking about?"
Niyati told her about Reyansh. Sara chuckled and said, "Ignore him.He must be a spoiled brat. Why did you even go to lecture him?"
"Anyway, let's go. She is already waiting."
As they reached the photoshoot location, Arundhati was dressed beautifully and carrying out her bridal party photoshoot. She wore a"Estelle" Pale Mauve Tulle Bridal Gown which was a Pale mauve bridal tulle gown with thread and zardozi embroidery.
Gown is embellished with feathers on pockets.
As soon as she saw Niyati, she interrupted the cameraman to stop and, trying to manage her huge wedding party gown, tried to rush towards Niyati. Knowing it was difficult for her to walk towards Niyati with that heavy gown, Niyati went towards her.
Arundhati said, "Where were you Niyu? I waited for you so long and decided to get the photoshoot done first. Let's party now, but before that, you get your pics clicked." She asked Niyati and Sara to join in her photoshoot.

Later, the scene transformed into a vibrant bridal shower. Pink balloons filled the air, and champagne flowed. The girls laughed, danced, and decided to have a sleepover.
However, amidst the joy, Niyati's eyes met Shanaya's, her cousin sister who never liked her much and never talked to her much. She never introduced anyone that Niyati was her cousin sister, even when they were in the same school.
Niyati always tried to be close to her, but she realized very late that Shanaya actually hated her when she invited all Niyati's friends except her to her birthday party in front of her in her classroom.
She felt very weird, but still, she invited Shanaya to her birthday along with her other friends. Shanaya was always competitive with Niyati unnecessarily, and Niyati was irritated when all she hoped for was Shanaya to be a friend and show sisterly love.
As Shanaya started behaving weird and told Niyati's friends that she didn't like them hanging around with Niyati, Niyati decided to cut all ties with Shanaya and never talk to her or even think that she knew her well.
They both ignored each other completely, and because of Shanaya, Niyati lost her precious friends too. Niyati was heartbroken and didn't believe that friendship could take a turn like that.
"What happened to my childhood friends that they don't spend time with me, and I was gradually replaced by her in all my friends' meetups?" Niyati thought.
But as Niyati lost trust in friendship, she met Sara, who was a very calm and understanding girl in college. Niyati still remembered how she and Sara met through Arundhati's connection.
