From silence, to beeps.

What is this? 

Where am I?

My heavy eyes tried opening, but the bright lights burned. I tried adjusting to my surroundings and noticed I’m in a hospital. What happened? Then it all came back to me. Wolves. Attack. Silence. Where am I? Did they catch me? I started questioning myself. 

Looking around and that’s when I noticed someone else in the room. A young man! My head started spinning so I groaned. That’s when his bright blue eyes opened and looked directly at me. Wow, he’s cute! Definitely older than me too. I could never get his attention even if we were mates. He got up quickly.

“How are you feeling?” I looked him in the eyes with confusion. 

“I’m ok, who are you? I don’t mean to sound rude nor ungrateful, I just want to know. Can’t really trust a stranger…” He smirked at me.

“I understand, I’m Leelan. Soon to be Alpha to the Moon Chasers Pack. I found you while I was on a run, and you were being attacked. So, I killed them.” He said that so calmly... as if it were nothing. Saving a stranger was so easy for him. Anyone else could’ve left me there. 

“Why did you save me?” I’m just confused as to why. I was no one to him. 

“To be honest with you, I don’t know. But please stay, when you get better I want to talk to you. For now rest and heal. You’ve had a tough afternoon.” Then, he walked out. Who was he…. 

With my mind wandering around and a headache coming in I decided to just sleep.

She’s even more beautiful up close, how was that possible? I had to leave before I said something I shouldn’t of. Why did I want to know about this mysterious she-wolf? Why would she be out there all alone? All these questions that just kept running in my head. 

How can I tell my father about her? What would he even say ? Would he make her leave? NO! He can’t! I made my way to fathers office, we will see how it’ll go. I knocked, once I got a response, I went in. 

“What brings you in? You seemed pretty upset before.” I hesitated to even speak to him because clearly his reactions to things are just a bit much. But I was already in his office so I had to speak up. 

“When I ran off earlier, I smelled something weird. The smell got stronger as I walked closer to the pack borders…” I looked at him but he didn’t say anything. So I just continued. “.. it was blood..” he lifted a brow but still didn’t speak. “So… I went after it.. I know that was a crazy mo-” I was cut off.

“CRAZY? You call that crazy!!?” He yelled. “That was DUMB Lee! Were you trying to get yourself killed?” I ignored his question. 

“You don’t understand, but just hear me out. I don’t know what it was father, but it was as if I was being pulled to save her. Like if I were meant to be there and save her.” He lifted a brow. 

“Her?” I nodded “She’s a young girl, maybe about Evas age. I saw all the blood and didn’t know what to do. So, I picked her up and ran to the pack hospital.” I put my head down not knowing what he’d say. But when I didn’t hear him I spoke up. “Father, I don’t understand why, but I had to save her.” He got up and walked towards me. 

“Son, take me to her.” That was a demand, but a demand I wasn’t going to follow. She was already afraid and I told her to rest. 

“No Father. Not yet. I told her to rest, then we will speak.” He nodded. 

“Ok, but once she’s up, I want to see her.” I nod and walk out of his office. 

It’s only about 6:30 pm, I can go see her and see when and if she’ll wake up today. Then father can speak to her and hopefully all goes well. 

Off to see the little wolf who has stolen my attention.
