Leelan

Three days had gone by since I had spoken to the girl… Lilly, I believe was her name. I didn’t get another call and started to lose hope… If she didn’t call soon, I’d believe that call was just to taunt me.

After that call, I linked Jace to meet me in the library. Since no one went there, we had enough privacy for what I wanted to talk to him about. I told him about the call and asked if he would come with me. He asked if I was sure this wasn’t a trap and I told him I had no choice but to try. It was the most information we had gotten on Meeah. He nodded and agreed to go with me. I asked him not to tell anyone else, just in case.

I was in fathers office since that was where the last call was. The phone started ringing, I rushed to answer. ALmost falling as I didn’t watch my step.

 “Hello?“ I answered eagerly, waiting for a response. 

“I need your phone number to send you the address.” I gave her my cell phone number. 

“Meet me at the address I’m going to send you tonight after midnight. I’ll have Meeah, you can take her and keep her safe! Trust me, I do not have anyone coming with me. I love Meeah like a sister, I want better for her.“ And she just hung up.

 *Ding* In came a text with an address. 

“Jace, meet me in my room.“ I mind linked him. A few minutes later he walked into my room. 

“What’s going on Lee?“ he asked. 

“I got an address to get Meeah! Will you still come with me?“ I asked, just trying to make sure he was still with me. 

“Of course! When do we leave?” he asked. 

“Right before midnight, it’s about thirty minutes away.“ He nodded and headed out to prepare himself. 

‘I’m coming for you, my little wolf. I’m coming for you and they’ll never take you away from me again.’ I promised. 

11:30 pm came around pretty quickly and I was waiting for Jace to meet me right at the entrance of the forest. Waiting on him, my wolf was pacing excitedly, that we would see Meeah again. And we will have her with us again. Jace showed up and we headed off. 

It was about 12:30 am and we were waiting there for about thirty minutes. We hadn’t seen anyone yet, but I was willing to wait another thirty minutes before I’d start searching around. 

Suddenly, I heard movement. Jace and I stood as quiet as possible but Jace looked at me confused. 

“Do you smell that?“ he asked me, with a look of confusion on his face when I asked.

 “Smell what?” It was my turn to give him a look of confusion. The footsteps grew louder and suddenly, I heard…

 “Mate.” 

Into view, came Meeah and a she wolf. Lilly. 

“Meeah!!“ I ran to her so fast and picked her up. 

“Meeah!“ I cried, the feeling inside was something I couldn’t hold in. I didn’t care to show it.

“Meeah, you’re ok?” I hugged her. She began to sob. 

“Yes Leelan, I’m ok. You’re here, you’re really here!“ She continued to cry. We just continued to hug each other tightly and I didn’t want to let go. But we had to head back before we got caught. 

“Lilly?” Meeah called. 

“Yes?” She responded, just above a whisper. 

“Are you ok?“ Lilly looked at Meeah. But I didn’t miss her facial expression. One of confusion, love, but also so much sadness.

“Meeah…” She took a deep breath in and slowly released. 

“He’s my mate…” She said as she pointed at Jace. 

“OMG Lilly! What do you want to do?” Meeah asked. I could tell she was concerned for her new friend.

“I want to stay with my mate… but can I?“ She looked up with tears in her eyes. 

“Come with us, I’ll talk to my father. Jace is the next Beta, he can’t keep his mate away no matter who it is. And you helped me get Meeah back. I’ll make sure you can stay.” She smiled and nodded. 

We began to make our way back to the pack house. Thirty minutes later, we’re walking into the pack house. Jace took Lilly with him and I walked Meeah to her room. 

“I’m so glad to have you back, little wolf.” I told her. 

“Me too.” She whispered. I kissed her head and turned to leave. 

“Leelan…” She whispered, you could hear the hesitation in her voice. 

“Yes little wolf?“ She slowly looked up at me. 

“Can you stay…“ she paused, “with me?“ I stared right into her eyes. 

“Please…“ I gave her my best smile.

“Of course.“ And we walked into her room. 

She showered and came back out. I was already on the bed when she got in. Cuddling herself right up against my side.

“I love you Leelan.“ I heard her voice so quietly. 

But did I hear that correctly? Did she just? Wait! Did she just say she loves me??? OMG! 

“Meeah…“ I whispered. She looked up at me and she kissed me oh so lightly. But it felt so good. 

“I love you too little wolf“ I said once we broke the kiss. She kissed me again, and again, and again. But I pulled away a bit, stopping her from continuing.

“Are you sure? What if I’m not you-“ She cut me off before I could even finish what I was going to say. 

“I’m sure... If I give myself to anyone, I want it to be you. Mate or not, I would never regret this.” And then she kissed me. 

Kissing became touching and touching became much more. The most amazing night of my life. I love you so much MEEAH LEE and I don’t think you understand that... The things I’d do to keep you with me. And those were my last thoughts of the night.
