It's Been How Long?
Meeah
Six months…
It had been six months.
Six months since the tragedy with my parents, friends and pack.
My home…
Six months since that crazy Alpha attacked our pack. I couldn’t tell anyone that I knew who he was. I didn’t know who defended him and who didn't. I didn’t want anyone to send me to him.
Goddess, what should I do? Who could I trust? One person came to mind. But, would I be able to really trust him? Would he really keep my secret? Would he still protect me like he said he would? I continued to question myself.
I heard him… over his dead body. A regular wolf wouldn’t have heard those mumbles, but since I was a hybrid wolf my senses were a bit extra. What kept my thoughts running was, why would he protect me? I was in deep thoughts for quite some time. Eventually I fell asleep.
I was in the forest, in the hospital gown. Nothing but darkness and trees. All of a sudden, I was shifting into a white and gray wolf. I ran and ran… I could see another wolf, a wolf as black as the darkness surrounding it. Those bright blue eyes were so beautiful.
Those eyes… they seemed so familiar… but why?
The wolf began to walk towards me, I didn't run. Why was I not afraid? The wolf started to shift into its human, but before I could make out who it was I woke up.
Goddess, who was that? Those eyes… So welcoming, so bright, so warm… I wasn’t afraid, I just wanted to stay there and feel safe. I was brought out of my thoughts hearing my names Alpha Theo.
“Good morning Meeah, You’ll be released today. I also heard you’d want to attend school. Is that correct?” He asked.
“Yes sir, I’ve missed a lot of things these past six months. I’d love to start school again.” He nodded.
“I see. Whenever you’re ready, my doors are open. For now, I have a room for you at the pack house. Lee will take you later. You’ll start school tomorrow.” I smiled.
“Thank you sir. You don’t know how grateful I truly am.” He gave a light nod and tight smile. It wasn’t awkward but it was if you know what I mean.
“Don’t worry about clothing. I have a daughter your age, she can give you a few things until we get you your own.” With that he left the room. I fell asleep, until a hard knock scared me out of my sleep. Leelan walked in.
His blue eyes were so…
WAIT!
Those blue eyes!
