So, today as promised, I am going to meet Akira and my son, vidit. I am really looking forward to this get together.

To be honest, I feel a little nervous...!
Nervous...me...the Arrogant Vikram Rathore!
Well yes....now a days...things are changing....and the one and only reason behind, is the Ms Akira Singh!
She is growing on me these days!

I know, I had a crush on her in past...but that was a long time ago...and it was one sided...i could not express my feelings back then....But now I am happy... That I got to meet her again!
I am sure, it's nothing like love or anything.... But I must admit... There is an attraction.

Just stop right there, Vikram!

She is not interested in any kind of relationship.
I know... I know... We are together in this, because of our kids.
And I am contented that our kids get to have a happy family time!
The thing with kids is... They make you do crazy things.... Things.. You never thought you could do!
And I am looking forward to this family time, together!
I am more than happy to spend my time with kids. It's rightly said -

You will never look back on life and think... You spent too much time with your kids.

I got ready wearing a casual faded blue jeans and an armani polo.
I don't know why, but I took extra time to look good, not that I need.... I am well aware of my good looks and my effects on the opposite gender... But at the back of my mind.... I wanted to look good...and grab attention from Akira!
I hope she doesn't find out... She is going to kill me!

This is just for our kids!

My princess was so excited to meet Akira and Vidit....she got ready right after waking up...Smriti also tagged along.... So i invited Kartik also. They hardly get any time....to catch up...so I asked them to come in another car.

It's going to be a fun time.!

I picked up my Kiyara....and made her sit in the baby car seat and started the engine. I have to pick up Akira and Vidit from their apartment.

I parked the car outside her building and went to ring the bell. Mrs Singh opened the door..i greeted her...and she welcomed us. Kiyara jumped on her...and aunty laughed.

My daughter really loved these guys!

I was talking with uncle and aunty when I saw Akira....i was mesmerized by her beauty.... She was wearing a crop top and a blue jeans. She had a big shoulder bag... And she looked perfect.
However my eyes lingered on the hem of her crop top... That sometimes gave away a view of her flat stomach...she was a petite...i never realised....Holy shit! why am I behaving like a shameless pervert!

My thoughts were broken when I was hugged by Vidit! He shouted - Daddy!!! I missed you!
He is a sweetheart!
I missed you too champ! - I said
Kiyara also jumped on me... Making me stumbled but I balanced.
She then reached Akira and asked her to sit down on the floor...then she kissed her cheeks...and she whispered... I missed you mommy!
Akira gave her a beautiful smile and my heart fluttered.

Soon, we four came out and started our journey.
Both the kids were sitting at the back seat in their car seats.
Whereas Akira was sitting with me in the front. I couldn't be happier!
For a moment, we really looked like a complete family!

We reached to one of my malls in South extension....vidit sitting on my shoulder and kiyara in Akira's arms.
This was a picture perfect!

And we definitely heard a click!

It was Smriti and Kartik.

They came towards us and said - This is a perfect family picture Bhai!

We just smiled.

Smriti had already apologized to Akira for her rude behavior and now they were back to being friends. Akira was already working on her wedding trousseau.

We took Kiyara and Vidit to the play zone. They were excited to check out the newly installed fun rides. Smriti and kartik had a movie date for the evening... So we all decided to grab coffee.

Four of us sat in a restaurant and I ordered coffee and a club sandwiches for everyone.
Smriti and Kartik were all lovey dovey had this was making Akira a little uncomfortable. So, I decided to sit on a different table with Akira.

I said - Eh! These two can be a little too much for an engaged couple! Sorry about that!

Akira muttered - I guess, this happens...When people are in Love!

But I heard her!

I could see pain in her eyes....i don't know what came over me.... I put my hand on hers....to comfort her.... But I guess.... She was startled.... And my coffee fell on me, spoiling my t-shirt.

I... I am so so sorry! - she said panicking

Hey! Relax! It's just a t-shirt! - I said
I will just wash it come..!

I reached a washroom and began to clean the coffee stains.

I reached our table back.. But what I heard and saw boiled my blood!

Akira was crying.... And there was an old couple talking nonsense to her. Smriti and Kartik were also there... They tried to stop the couple. But they just wouldn't listen.... They continued to humiliate Akira!
I wanted to kill them!

I took long steps and stood between Akira and that old couple.

Oh! So, this is your new prey! - the old lady said wickedly

I heard another sob from Akira.

Of course he is! Don't you see.... He is quite a catch for this bitch! - the old bald man said

Enough! - I roared
Who do you think you are to talk to her like that! - I asked

Oh calm down young man! You don't a thing about this girl....Thank you stars that we are here to save you from her blackmagic...Before she ruins you and your family. But honestly, I would say.... This time this bitch has managed to trap a handsome businessman like you! What tricks did she play on you.....did she sleep with you...or is she pregnant with your baby? You know she can stoop to any lows. - the old lady again spoke

My anger knew no limits.... I wanted to kill these two oldies!

Just shut up, before I forget you two are an old couple! What nonsense are you two talking about! She is a family friend...and you don't have any rights to comment on her...by the way...who are you? - I asked angrily

Why don't you ask this bitch! - the old man said

Language mister! One more fowl word, and I will have you two arrested. - I shouted

Arrested!!! Really, the only one who should be arrested...Is this girl, who you are supporting! You have no idea what she really is! She is the soul cause of our sufferings! She ate our only Child... Our only son! She casted some black magic on him. She is a bad omen, son! Stay away from her.... Or she will not leave you too! - the old lady said

Listen, I don't know what happened to your son....or what are you trying to accuse Akira for...let me make it very clear to you....i will not tolerate a single word against her!
And I know she has not done anything bad to anyone!

And dare you say a word again! - I warned

Why don't you just die, you bitch....yelled the lady and Both of them gave a disgusted look at akira before they stormed out of the restaurant.

Akira slumped in her chair and wailed.... She looked shattered....Her each tear was like a stab to my heart. Smriti rushed to her and hugged her... Patted her back but I knew better....Akira was not going to be ok any time soon.
I wanted to talk to her.... To ask her who were they....But I knew it would only cause her more pain and sufferings.

I asked kartik to take Smriti with him and check on kids. I wanted to talk to her alone!

Both of them left and I offered her my handkerchief.
She took it quietly and none of us spoke for the next few minutes.

They were my in laws! - she said in a low voice hardly audible
Reality striked me.... So...They...They were blaming her of their son's death! How could they....Couldn't they see... How she has been suffering... How could they be so cruel!

Hey! You don't have to talk about it! I can tell, how difficult it is for you! So just leave it... Don't let it affect you! - I said

How can I not, Vikram! How can I not! - she cried holding my shoulder

But I only heard "Vikram"!
She, for the first time called my name! It sent shiver down my spine!

She was shivering.....and I just wished that our kids do not see her like this...especially Vidit...so I wanted to divert her mind from this past sufferings.

I hugged her tight and said - Akira! Don't let the past eat your present....i can understand you, because even I have been through a lot of painful past...but Healing from pain is your choice. You have to consciously decide that you deserve to feel free, that you deserve to let go of the weight that has been holding you down for too long.

Letting go of your painful past is how you open up to A greatnew wonderful future.

We are here to give our kids a wonderful time. Don't let some crazy old Psychos to ruin your present. Don't give them importance.... They clearly do not deserve it! - I added

She looked into my eyes and said wiping her tears - You are right! I do not deserve this shit! I will not let my past...and their hateful words affect me and my kids.
I have to be strong!
She straightened her clothes and hair and said - I need to see vidit and Kiyara! I better spend my time with them. They need me....Let's go!

I nodded and we left to meet our kids!

Our kids sounded just Perfect!

We reached the ply zone and found our kids giggling... And that brought a smile on Akira's face. And I felt at peace!

When you know what's important, it's easy to ignore what's not!
