"KIARAAA," Ava shouts, running towards me, and a few people look at her weirdly. I motion towards Ava and me and say, "she is not my friend, and I don't know her," to the students.

She comes over to me and smacks my head while shouting, "Don't believe her, she is my best friend". I glare at her while I rub my head.

"Kiara, we have our last football match this Friday, and you are coming," Ava says enthusiastically. Oh yeah, our junior year is coming to an end, then we have our summer vacation. I might go back to India to meet everyone.

"I have to ask my host. I will ask them and let you know," I inform Ava.

"Fine, so on Saturday morning, we are all going to Kate's house, and if you want, I can pick you up," she tells me.

Oh no, if she picks me up, I will have to give her my address and then she will know that I am living with Reed, and it will be a problem.

"No, that is completely and utterly fine. You give me the address, and I will come there," I deny the offer.

"Well, ok, you ask them and let me know," she informs, and we head over to class.

It's lunch, and I get two burgers, fries and two juice bottles and head over to the bench under the tree and wait for Andrew. He appears a few minutes later, and we start talking and eating our food. I look inside to see Kate looking at us, and she gives me a wave. She looks at Andrew and smiles, and his cheeks turn pink.

HOLY, he has a crush on her. I look at Andrew and wiggle my eyebrows with a grin.

"So, when did this happen?" I question, bumping his shoulder.

"I don't know what are you talking about." he plays it off.

"Andrew," I warn him.

"Fine, during freshman year, Victoria and her gang were harassing me when Kate saw that she stood up for me and tended to my wounds, and I find her really pretty, so yeah," he trails off.

"So, you have had a crush on her for two years, and you didn't make a move?" I question, looking at him incredulously.

"Kiara, look at me. I am a broken boy. I can't give her the happiness she deserves, and she doesn't even like me that way." Andrew is good looking with dark black hair and innocent boyish features.

"Andrew, that one thought is more than enough, you will give the world to her if she becomes yours, and you don't know if she feels the same way or not," I assure him.

"Yeah, I would rather see her happy with someone else than being stuck with a broken person like me," he finishes.

"Are you coming to the game on Friday?" I ask him, changing the topic

"Nope, I have to work that day," he informs me, and I nod.

Soon lunch is over, and the day comes to an end pretty soon after that.

"So, you have your final game this Friday?" I ask Reed on our way home.

"Yep, it's our last game, and we are up against very talented players," he tells me.

"Don't worry, you guys will do good," I tell him with a smile. We reach home, and aerial come running to me. I pet her for a while and head to my room.

"Raven, may I go to the football game this Friday?" I ask her during dinner.

"Sure, honey, you don't have to ask for permission. You can tell me and go," I forgot that parents here are very lenient. It is a miracle if Indian parents permit us to go to a friends house.

"Thank you," I thank her, and after dinner, I convey the message to Ava and, she sends me Kates' address and gives me the details of the plan.

Finally, it's Saturday morning, and Blake drops me off at Kate's house. I ring the doorbell, and a lady who looks like an exact replica of Luke opens the door.

"Hi ma'am, my name is Kiara, and I am a friend of Kate." I greet her.

"Hii, come on in. I have heard a lot about you since Luke never stops talking about you". I blush at her words.

"Mom, can you please stop embarrassing me? It's too early for that." Luke says from the top of the stairs.

"You can call me Olivia, honey." Mrs Lance tells me, completely ignoring her son. Luke comes downstairs, and he grabs and drags me to the upstairs room before his mom can embarrass him further.

"So, you talk about me?" I tease him with a smirk, and his cheeks turn pink.

"Well, let us say, I was astonished since you are from India, and I have always wanted to go there because your traditions and cultures are very different,"

"Well, I am glad you find me amusing," I tell him sarcastically. He just chuckles, and we enter Kate's room.

"Kiara, you are here," Ava says and comes over to hug me. Soon we all settle down. We watch some movies with Luke, and Kate kicks her twin brother out of her saying she needs girl time, whatever that is.

"So, Kiara, spill. Do you have a crush on anyone?" Kate straight away gets to the point. Oh, so this is girl time.

"Well..." I say and trail off. Reed makes me feel all giddy, and he is just so sweet with me.

"So, whose name popped up in your mind when I say crush," Kate asks me.

"Um, no one." I lie. They give me a deadpan look.

"So, Kate, who do you have a crush on?" I ask her.

"Currently, no one," she answers.

"But, Ava here, has had a crush on Noah for the longest of time, and she didn't do anything yet". Kate tells me while Ava's cheeks turn pink.

"Why am I only hearing about this now?" I demand her with a fake glare

"I didn't think it was necessary," Ava tells me

'You are a hypocrite.'

'Oh, you are back.'

'I am, and you are a hypocrite, you are living with Reed, and you feel bad because Ava didn't tell you that she has a crush on Noah,'

'I know, I know ok. It's just Reed told me not to. I really wish I could tell them.'

'Then ask him if you can, and tell your friends.'

Suddenly Kate puts her hands to her lips and tips toes to her door. She opens the door, and Luke face plants near her feet.

"I was just going to knock on the door, but you opened it," he says to Kate.

"See, twin telepathy, we both thought the same thing." he chuckles, nervously.

"So, you got the information you were looking for?" she asks him.

"What information?" Luke plays it off.

"Get out," Kate says and kicks her brother out of her room like, literally kicks him. We talk for about another hour and then start getting ready for the game. My best friends make me change into black high waisted jeans and a white top that says game on, and Kate forces me to wear makeup. 

Kate and Ava are wearing outfits similar to mine but with hoodies. I look at myself in the mirror after they finish my makeup, and I must say I look good. Kate has given me a bold look, with black eyeshadow and red lipstick. Now all of us are sitting on the bench after wishing Luke Goodluck, and I send a Goodluck text to Reed since people cannot see him and me together. 

The noise of people cheering for the players, everything is new to me, and I am so happy that I got the opportunity to attend a football game in America. I can tick that off my bucket list. Our school wins the game with 25-23, and we all meet Luke on the field and congratulate him. I excuse myself from the crowd and wait for Reed after everyone leaves. I find Reed coming out of the locker room, and I go and give him a hug, and he pulls me closer by my waist.

"Congrats, Reed. You did great out there." I praise him, my voice muffled by his shirt.

"Hey, there is an afterparty at Adrian's house. Your friends must be driving there too, so catch a ride with them," Adrian is the best friend of Reed. I say goodbye to him and rush over to my friends.

My first ever party. I was excited but little did I know it was going to be a disaster.
