Chapter Three

The next day....

Jungkook sat on the couch under a blanket next to Yuri. He heard someone ring the doorbell and quickly got up. Standing near the door he waited and watched as Sooyoung punched in the security code.

Unlike Jihoon she wasn't always on guard and wasn't as alert. He repeated the numbers in his head as he walked back over to Yuri.

"134340." He signed.

"What?" She looked up.

"Write it down!!"

She grabbed a newspaper and quickly jotted down the numbers. Afterwards she ripped off the piece and handed it to Jungkook. Still confused at the situation.

"What is it?! Why are you yelling?!" She looked up.

"Security code." He smirked, "I'm sorry for yelling. We're gonna-"

"Jungkook, do you guys want tea? I got my package and some new herbal tea came in." Sooyoung said.

"Sure." Jungkook replied.

He sat on the couch, wrapped up in a blanket. Yuri leaned her head on his shoulder, sighing in contentment. Though she felt terrible, him by her side made it a little more bearable.

"Just trust me, we're gonna be okay."

___________

Hearing the door open, Jungkook turned to see Jihoon walking in and disabling the alarm.

"Honey, did you get the cold medicine?" Sooyoung asked while preparing dinner.

"No, I forgot. Long day at work." Jihoon sighed.

"We're really sick." Jungkook stood up.

"You'll be fine. I'll get it tomorrow on my way back from work."

"Please, she has a fever."

Jihoon glanced in the living room, seeing Yuri passed out on the couch.

"People have survived fevers. You both stay hydrated." Jihoon told Jungkook.

"No, I don't care about me, just get her the medicine." Jungkook begged.

"I said no Jungkook!"

Jungkook flinched once he yelled, looking down.

"If you're so sick just go to bed!"

Turning around with his head low walked over to the couch. He lifted the blanket off of Yuri and lightly rubbed her back.

"C'mon let's go to bed." He mumbled.

"Hmm?" She muttered.

He helped her up and walked towards the stairs with her.

"What's wrong?" She asked him.

"I'm fine." He smiled.

"You don't seem fine. Where's the cold medicine?"

"He didn't get it. I'm sorry, I tried to make him get it. He said tomorrow after work."

"Did he yell?"

"Everythings fine. Just relax for me."

Yuri was constantly a ball of nerves over the smallest things. He could always feel the anxiety radiating off of her. Putting his arm around her he took her to the bathroom so they could brush their teeth and get ready for bed.

Afterward the pair walked to Yuri's room and laid on the bed next to her.

"The security code, I'm gonna see if it works on the other doors." Jungkook signed to her.

"You think it will?" Yuri asked.

"Yeah, I'm gonna try tomorrow."

"If it does work then what?"

She stared into his doe eyes as he stared back. Yuri always looked to him for direction, she relied on him for everything and she did exactly what he did. Jungkook felt like a failure, while Yuri looked to him for guidance he didn't know what to even tell her.

Regaining his focus, he kept his eye contact with her and just cuddled her in his arms. He didn't have an answer for her. She held his hand while she wrapped her arm around his waist. Her thumb ran over the scars that were grouped above his waist line.

"I think you're right, I'm probably just sick and it's a coincidence." Yuri changed the subject.

Jungkook slowly just nodded his head.

"Whats wrong?" She asked him.

He sat up and ran his fingers through his hair.

"I'm a failure to you. You're too precious to be in this situation and I'm such a coward I haven't gotten you out of here-" He looked down.

"Jungkook, don't say that!" She cut him off.

"Why do you look up to me like this? I'm so sorry Yuri. I am gonna get us out of here, I promise you that."

"I know you will."

He pulled her into a tight hug and didn't let go. Jungkook played with her hair while rubbing his hand over her back. Hearing Sooyoung's footsteps up the stairs he tapped Yuri twice and distanced themselves, sitting on opposing ends of the bed.

Sooyoung walked in the door and saw them both.

"Do you guys need anything?" She asked.

Yuri just shook her head. Jungkook looked at her and saw how miserable and uncomfortable she looked.

"Why didn't you make him get her medicine? She needs it!" He sighed so Jihoon wouldn't hear.

"He had a long day." Sooyoung sighed.

"So? She can't even sleep because she feels so bad. You say you care about us but you won't even stand up to your husband to help us, ever."

"I'm sorry Jungkook, he's the way he is."

Jungkook rolled his eyes and sighed, frustrated.

__________

Jungkook stayed with Yuri all night, neither of them got good sleep. He laid on his side, uncomfortably shifting his weight. Wrapping his arm around her he tried to drift back off to sleep.

Feeling someone's presence he opened his eyes seeing Sooyoung, quickly he pulled his arm away from her and turned over.

"I know you're awake, Jungkook." Sooyoung mumbled.

"What?" He sighed.

"You're sweating to death because you were holding Yuri like a bear."

"I usually hug my pillow and she took all the pillows. I was sleeping, it was an accident." Jungkook quickly defended himself.

"I know, you always hug things when you sleep, you both do. I'm gonna make you guys breakfast.

"Ok."

"I reminded Jihoon about medicine."

"Thanks."

When Yuri woke up they both got up and went down stairs. She looked miserable and he felt bad looking at her.

"I wish I could just hold you." He sighed, while frowning.

"Me too." She sighed.

"Can I do anything for you?"

She shook her head while slumping in her seat. He reached under the table and held her hand, rubbing his thumb on the back of her hand.

'I love you.' He lipped towards her.

'Love you.' She lipped back.

Jungkook never took his eyes off of her. Sooyoung was warming up their food before she put it on the table. Jungkook took a few bites of his food, meanwhile Yuri could barely swallow a mouthful without feeling like she'd vomit.

Hearing her gag, Jungkook looked up. She had a sour face as she tried to take a deep breath. She stood up and Jungkook grabbed her side helping her to the bathroom.

"Oh dear!" Sooyoung followed behind.

Jungkook helped her kneel to the ground before all the contents of her stomach rushed up. He held her hair in a ponytail for her behind her head.

"She needs medicine now." Jungkook said.

"I'll call Jihoon." Sooyoung said.

Yuri stood up feeling light headed and held on to the sink.

"I took advantage of being able to breathe freely, my nose is so stuffy." She said aloud.

"We're gonna take good care of you and you'll be ok in a few days." Jungkook signed.

"Jungkook! Help her to her room or the couch, she needs to rest, Jihoon will be home at five."

"Ok." Jungkook sighed, it was hours from then.

"Why don't you take her to the couch and put on a movie?"

"You wanna sit on the couch and watch a movie?" Jungkook signed to her.

She slowly nodded her head. He picked her up, holding her close to him. He walked her over to the couch.

"Her fever is bad Sooyoung." He said.

Sooyoung walked over and saw Jungkook placing her on the couch ever so gently. He helped her cover herself with a blanket before sitting next to her.

Sooyoung felt her burning hot forehead.

"She always gets the worst colds." She muttered.

"What do I do?" Jungkook asked.

"Jungkook, you're making it seem worse than it is. She's gonna be okay, try to keep her hydrated. Once she gets the medicine she'll be fine, just give her a few days."

He sighed and nodded. He turned on her favorite movie and sat next to her, putting a blanket over him so they could hold hands under the blanket.

"At least we can just sit around." Yuri signed.

"Isn't that what we always do?" He asked.

"Well we aren't doing school."

"That's true."

"How do you feel?"

"Not good."

"Once we have medicine it should be a little bit of relief."

He leaned over and kissed her cheek softly.
